Karstadt is a one stop shop for most things you will need day to day. I often go here looking for things that may not be in most other department stores. I live by the Olympia Einkaufszentrum so I find myself going to the "mall" a little more than my bank account likes. I started taking up knitting/crocheting a while ago and have found the the Karstat at the OEZ has a really good selection of yarn, knitting, and crocheting items. I don't necessarily think it is the cheapest place to pick up things for crafty projects, but for me, it is definitely the easiest and most convenient.
