I have been working with Karuna for 5 months now since Feb. When I met her, I was slightly lost in terms of being comfortable with who I am (or even just being able to realize who I am and my priorities). I was restless, not at peace and not fine with being alone. In fact, I had initially reached out to a therapist for help and with the therapist's dates being blocked, I found Karuna and started consulting her. I have seen a tremendous improvement in my mental health in the past few months. I have a better understanding of my priorities, who I am and what I want and a sense of inner peace. I looked on Yelp for a local hypnotherapist for stopping my sugar binging. I have been challenged with cutting back on processed sugar my whole life. I've tried multiple times quitting sugar cold turkey and have gone as long as a month without it. However, I would slip back to old patterns every time. I did hypnotherapy previously for a different reason, which I found to be amazing and impactful, so I figured I'd give hypnotherapy a go again. When I met Karuna I was greeted the brightest smile, and I instantly felt comfortable opening up to her. She is a very intuitive, so the flow of the session was customized based on my energy and needs during our time together. The first part of the session was consultative, and I had several "a-ha!" moments where I realized why I have been struggling with my sugar cravings. I started feeling a shift within me in the 15-20 minutes of just talking. One of the things that struck me was the label I had put on myself. I felt like a sugar addict, because I called myself that and other people identified me as one too even if it was jokingly. (I'm cringing as I'm writing this!) I was owning the title of "sugar addict" without realizing how it was negatively influencing my body. Reprogramming the behavior, as a result, started with changing my mindset and letting go of the label. Karuna also helped me be clear on what exactly I was trying to accomplish from the hypnotherapy. Was I trying to cut out sugar entirely? This would mean giving up on honey, fruits or any other food with natural sugars. So I made myself be clear in stating that I wanted to reduce processed sugar intake of things like ice cream, chocolates, desserts, and pastries. The hypnosis experience was great. I felt super calm and found it easy to go into a focused trance state during the session. My body was more deeply relaxed coming out of the hypnosis than my body was going into it. After I left the session, I felt the positive effect of Karuna's hypnotherapy technique. I felt so much more in tune with the intelligence of my body and listened to what it really needed. My boyfriend and I made a pit stop at Starbucks, for example, and he had purchased a Frappuccino. The old me would've downed the drink with no problem, but I didn't have one sip of it... not because I felt guilty especially since I had just came from a hypnotherapy session to stop sugar cravings. I simply, truly didn't feel like having it. In fact I felt more dehydrated than anything else and drank water the rest of the evening. I'm looking forward to future sessions with Karuna. Until then, I know that the healing takes place as much outside of the session as it does during it. I will continue doing my "homework" of honoring and listening to my body and changing my relationship with sugar by dropping labels. This is the new me! read more

So it took me over a month to write this review.. Only because I wanted to see how effective my session with Karuna would play out in my life. & to my surprise my attachment to my ex, my anxiety & depression faded away.. I was skeptical about our over the phone session But as she started doing the healing work I felt relaxed & I could also feel the chakra points she was working on. I'm very Pleased & have recommended this service to anyone struggling with something.. Or needing to cleanse their energy field.. My ex had a spirit on him that was trying to latch on to my aura..in my own experience I'm not sure if it was black magic or just something spiritual..Neither was she able to explain what was going on..However I feel more in control over myself & emotional/ mental state.. Immediately after our session I went about my day without overthinking, but finally focusing on myself. Even to this day my ex has reached out & I have no interest in feeding into that connection..she cut the cords & I feel set free... Ps She also was able to remove a male entity that she said was attached to me..being that times I felt like something was around me when I was alone id sometimes look over my shoulder..& I don't find myself doing that anymore.. It was my 2nd seasion with Karuna ji for Past life regression! The way she takes you down there is amazing! My experience of it was really amazed me as it showed me of where is problem coming from and what is needed to work on exactly at soul level. Experience past life though vision is beyond words. I was dealing with Insomnia that caused me a level of anxiety that I had never felt before. After trying all the traditional solutions to get rid of my insomnia with limited success, I decided to give hypnotherapy a try without really knowing what it was. I found Karuna online and after a quick phone call with her, I felt comfortable enough and was determined to give this a try. After only 2 sessions, I could already feel a change and my symptoms decreased drastically. I was able to get off the prescribed sleep medication that I was taking and have some decent nights of sleep not too long after our first sessions. I found Karuna serendipitously while Internet browsing, though her office is now in Milpitis, not in Sunnyvale as some google maps still show. My integrated medicine doctor at PAMF had suggested I "balance my energies or chakras." This sounded new-agey initially, but as a holistic practitioner who had helped me in ways no doctor had, I trusted his ideas. Karuna comes to the healing profession from a physics background, so she knows about energy, atoms and particles! I had already experienced the amazing healing ability of somatic experiencing therapy, when dealing with some post traumatic stress following a car accident and prior, painful medical crisis, so I knew I responded well to gentle touch (though Reiki can be done with or without touch). The Reiki I experienced with Karuna gave me the same feeling of total release of tension in my body that had previously moved me to tears. Having someone so passionate about her profession and about my peace in mind and body was profound. I peeked open an eye at one point as she stood near me- she did not even have her hands on me yet and my body already felt calm. It somehow absorbed her soothing energy. I will never be able to explain it. Just the sensation of her warm hands on my clothing, or neck, top of my head, or wherever she felt drawn to, brought immediate response to my body, almost a crescendo of calm at times. She knew I trapped stress in the body, and tended to hyper-focus on problems or decisions at hand, and she encouraged me to summon up this more positive energy for myself. To empower me with the tools so I did not have to rely on others for healing. It was a gift to tap into my parasympathetic nervous system and ease out of the reactionary fight flight mode I had grown accustomed to. A way to sky-rocket your self-confidence! I was in a ditch for the last 4 years career-wise. There was chaos at work and things were highly unpredictable. Work wasn't fun and satisfying anymore. I heard Karuna speak several years ago and her talk gave me a whole new perspective on using hypnotherapy in my life. When I found myself struggling to retain information I was reading while studying for a major exam last year, I called to see if she could help. I saw her for one hypnosis session and did the 15 minute relaxation tape and study preparation homework she suggested pretty faithfully. Then followed that up with one more session. I wasn't at all sure this was going to work! After the first session, I found that I felt better able to focus when I studied. After the second session, it was like a huge door that had been locked had suddenly opened up for me. I felt SO MUCH MORE CONFIDENT that I could remember and easily recall what I studied.
