I've been several times and each time has been a pleasant experience. The atmosphere is casual; in warmer months, they have picnic tables street-side that you can sit at; and, given that Germans are terrible at customer service, here you will find that staff offer great customer service. They do not offer an English menu so either bring some excellent language skills or be prepared to linguistically negotiate with your wait staff. In all cases, our waitress was mostly able to speak some English and had thoughtful recommendations. Most recently, I had some kind of baked potato with cheesy-goodness on top and mixed vegetables on the side. Prices are reasonable and they also have a decent selection of wines and beer. All in all, a nice sit-down restaurant that you're likely to have a pleasant experience with. Especially as Stadtgeflüster is certainly way ahead of many of the local run-down and dumpy restaurants.

It is located on the waterfront and on a nice sunny day I would happily sit out in the courtyard and watch the world go by. The only drawback is that the view is blocked by all the parked cars :-( The food here is pretty average and I must admit I did not enjoy it at all. The fish soup for starter was bland and lacked seasoning. The fish was overlooked and chewy and I would give it 2 stars at best. The main was a whole pan fried bass and when it arrived it looked great but unfortunately the fish was over cooked and had little or no flavour. The service is nice and friendly and they so speak English here in case you cannot communicate in German. The menu however was in German so not sure they have English menus but I suspect they do. All in all an average experience and I would come back here for drinks on a sunny day and enjoy the atmosphere but eat elsewhere :-)

Basically it's a no-frills place with excellent cooking at very reasonable prices. Normally I'm picky about the ambience but I knew going in it wouldn't be fancy. They've made an effort in the dining rom with white tablecloths and candles. Outside is basic biergarten and the servers are about like you'd find in any average schnitzel joint..casually dressed and very casual service. But the food is something different altogether as they seem to have nabbed a very good chef. As it was Spargelzeit I had scallops with asparagus as a starter. Being hard on them I'd say the scallops were missing a hint more garlic and the vinaigrette for the asparagus had chopped onions in it such as you might find on handkäs. I found it an odd pairing but it was delish anyway. Scallops were definitely not frozen. For a main I had Red Mullet with ratatouille and parsley potatoes. It was brilliantly cooked. My colleague, known affectionately as Sideboards, had veal liver with baked apples which he declared fabu. Another had a filetsteak and our French visitor had Wiener Schnizel. All in all five of us had starters, mains, two san pelligrinos, and two bottles of St Emillion (EUR40 apiece but we were on expenses). The final tally was EUR240 before tip. If we had skipped the expensive wine and stuck to beers it would have been lower. Still, for the money it was food like you'd find in many an upscale white tablecloth joint for prolly 30-40% cheaper. I'm not deducting points for lack of ambience simply because the food was a strong outperformer. Definitely would go back.

Food: They'll just created a new menu. Everything is kind of creative and has these lovely little things that makes you smile (eg: raspberry in your lemonade). A main course costs about 13 Euros. They have a lot of different foods from the western cuisine and surprisingly a lot of breakfast. Also a good variations for vegans. Location: Everything is not only clean and good looking, but also has the touch to be new (or a vary good maintenance). But it can be a little bit loud in the ground floor, because of the chatting of all the people. Near city and near public transport (U-Bahn) located directly on the famous Berger Straße, the street to be. So a short sit in for lunch/dinner is recommended. Sidenote: Mirador can also host your events (like anniversaries). I'll think I'll do my wedding here ;)
