We had such a wonderful experience working with Kristine for our family photos! I was lucky enough…read moreto win a giveaway for a free session, and she absolutely exceeded all expectations. She was patient, warm, and worked incredibly well with our kids - even with a toddler who wasn't always in the mood to cooperate! The entire experience was comfortable, fun, and relaxed, and the photos turned out beautiful. She captured our family perfectly, and we are so grateful for the amazing images. Highly recommend her for family photography!

If you're looking for a photographer who can turn chaos into magic, Kristine is your person!…read more We showed up to our family photo session with a 2 year-old in tears, a 4 year-old who recently gave up naps (RIP my sanity), and a husband who would rather do literally anything else than take family photos. I was fully prepared for disaster. Instead, we ended up with some of the most beautiful, joy-filled photos. Kristine worked absolute wonders. She put everyone at ease, made it fun, and somehow coaxed genuine smiles out of my overtired little ones (and my husband!). She took the stress off of me completely, which is no small feat. Her background as a teacher really shines through; she knows how to read the room, connect with kids (and parents), and curate the perfect experience. Not only did we get gorgeous photos that captured us (the goofy, sweet, real us) but we actually had a great time with the process as well. I can't recommend her enough. Kristine is a magician with a camera!

This is a long-overdue review! 3 years ago for my 31st birthday, I wanted to celebrate by taking…read moreboudoir portraits. I decided to toss out any insecurities I felt about my body (even if it's just for a day!) and celebrate the fact that I will never be 31 ever again, and when I'm 60 or 70 years old, I want to look back and be like wow! That's me at 31 :) I saw a few boudoir portraits Melissa did of a mutual friend, and I knew I wanted to hire Melissa! She offered a package then that included makeup/hair and photos, but I opted out of makeup/hair because I wanted to do my own, and trusted that Melissa will tell me if I need to fix my hair or touch-up my makeup during the shoot since she's also a brilliant makeup/hair artist. Melissa asked me some questions before our shoot, and I sent over a few inspiration images, a few of my favorite photographs by Patrick Demarchelier of Cara Delaveigne, some other favorites by Vincent Peters, and other inspiration that included Lana Del Rey, and black and white photos of Namie Amuro. I had booked a hotel suite for the shoot, but since all the layouts were different, we tried to do as many of my favorites from my mood board as time permitted! Melissa guided me every step of the way, and allowed me to get as comfortable as I possibly could be! Posing was a lot harder than I expected (mad props to professional models and actresses who make it look so easy!) Melissa nailed it with what I wanted to achieve! Most importantly, I had a lot of fun planning for it, buying the outfits I wanted to wear, and then putting it all together with Melissa. I never shared my photos except for a cropped out portrait that I used as a headshot, because these photos were mainly for myself, to document, to feel empowered in my own skin, to challenge my own boundaries. I felt beautiful, I felt sexy, I felt connected to my divine femininity and empowered. I recently looked through the photos again, which prompted me to write Melissa a glowing (albeit belated!) review for her boudoir portrait work! I highly recommend Melissa for her portrait services!

My days are filled with spit up and school projects and "Moooooom." I love all of it and them more than anything, but in that I've mostly lost the independent woman I was before giving birth. What Melissa created for me was time and space to reconnect with myself. She covered every little detail from helping me prepare for our shoot, to bringing my favorite music to put me at ease and doing my hair and makeup beautifully. I can't thank her enough for the time she invested in my shoot to help me feel like a woman, and not just a mom. When I look at the final photographs she captured I see myself again and that is worth more than anything to me.
