From the outset, the internship seemed promising, but it quickly became apparent that Edward Henry Company had little regard for the well-being and professional development of its interns. The absence of a fair stipend or compensation for the hours put in was a red flag, however, with little job prospects many young people face, it seemed somewhat promising with the notion that successful interns would receive full-time permanent employment. Furthermore, from an ethical standpoint, the deceptive tactic of the possibility of paid employment after the completion of a 6-week unpaid internship (Oh, and this doesn't count towards the probationary period!), it is clear that this company is exploiting the desperation of recent graduates who are eager to gain experience in a competitive job market. It is disheartening to see a company take advantage of young professionals trying to kickstart their careers. I would strongly advise any new graduates to steer clear of this company and look for opportunities that value their skills and potential. No one should have to endure such an exploitative and unethical internship experience in the pursuit of a job opportunity. It's essential that we warn others of these types of companies that engage in such practices and protect the rights and dignity of young professionals entering the workforce.
