    Pork souvlaki dinner
    Mei Lan M.

Checked out Kathy's Grill finally. Came at around 1 pm and the place was pretty busy. As seating is pretty limited, it seemed like most people were ordering take out. I was able to place my order in a timely manner but it took about 20 minutes for them to get my food ready, which is to be expected given how many people were in front of me. They also did their best to get the orders completed in a timely manner. So I got the chicken souvlaki dinner and also a pork souvlaki dinner. The total came to around $25. Not bad. The food itself was yummy. The portions of sides and salad were pretty generous too. I was able to share with my daughter. But next time, I would order another souvlaki stick.

This is the most reliable, fresh, friendly and affordable 'old school Greek' place left! We have been frequenting Kathy's Grill for many years now and have never been disappointed. Our go-to orders are chicken souvlaki or gyros....or poutine. But I had the lasagna special, let me tell you, for $10...that was crazy good. With a fresh salad!

After getting take out from Kathy's the first time, I couldn't get them off my mind! This is a grab and go take out place in Scarborough that gives you a good bang of buck. They always have a lineup so be prepared for that. Both times, I had the chicken souvlaki dinner. It was plenty of food for me. In the box, half is salad with potatoes and rice, chicken souvlaki on top and a dinner roll on the side. The first time I had it, I kept on saying I wasn't very hungry. I went silent and polished off the entire container!

Just awesome! Fish burger is big and better than McDonald's ! Get it with cheese. Fries are nice and crispy and not salty at all. Homemade burger is massive. Poutine isn't real cheese curds but they tell you that on the menu. Still good though. Gravy is fantastic. Just as good as the real mccoys. The prices are incredible. Meal for 2 won't run you more than $25 and you can barely finish cuz of the portion sizes. We prefer here over real McCoy because quality is consistent and prices MUCH cheaper. Gotta love Kathy's! Love this place and been twice in 2 weeks.

We ordered the homemade burger, fries, and chicken souvlaki dinner with rice. The burger ($4-65) and fries ($2.80) were extremely great value. Both were tasty and the fries weren't too greasy. For the burger you can choose a variety of condiments and toppings to add such as onions, lettuce, tomato, etc. The chicken souvlaki dinner was also delicious and came with a dinner roll and tzatziki on the side. The chicken souvlaki here seems to be a really popular order. Overall amazing value for the quality of food and place for cheap eats!

Great place for lunch, had fish and chips the previous few days and then the chicken souvlaki on a bun with a side of Greek feta fries. Great affordable pricing in this day in age. Fast service and tasty food. Will definitely recommend!

Absolutely adore this place. We order takeout here a few times monthly, and the quality is consistent. Love their chicken souvlaki dinner. Their chicken is white meat and still moist. I usually get it with rice and potatoes, or fries, and you get a salad.

This is becoming a common occurrence! How many times have we driven up and down Kennedy Road, but never really glanced over at Kathy's Grill. When my fellow Yelpers told me about it, I thought, where is it located? I have never seen it before! Well, we finally made it here! We thought it was a small place shared with other stores in a strip plaza, but it is actually a stand-alone restaurant. The parking lot is quite small, so there are limited spots. The inside has a long counter for take-out items with an open kitchen. There are a few tables on the side as well as some bar stool seating. Since it was our first time, I was asking one of the women some questions, and she was very helpful. When I asked her name, she said it was Kathy ....lol We ordered the Chicken Souvlaki dinner and the Open Face Hot Hamburger, with a side order of onion rings. I find chicken dishes at Greek restaurants can be quite hit or miss (as in dry, dry, dry). Kathy told me she buys good quality meats and the chicken is cut and marinated in-house. The Hot Hamburger is made with fresh ground beef. The food is indeed very fresh and hot! I have a problem with warm food, is it just me? I like my food hot, hot, hot, or cold, cold, cold! The salad dressing is also homemade and it was lightly tossed, not overly coated. The fries were nice and crispy, not soggy! I did find the gravy a bit salty, but that is my personal opinion. My husband loved "my"fries and gravy so much; he kept digging in, even though he had his own. As for the chicken souvlaki, my fellow Yelpers assured me Kathy's version is moist and tender ... YES! We struck up a conversation with a gentleman beside us, and Kathy came over to ask how everything was. We all started talking about how clean the place is, and Kathy explained how high her expectations are regarding hygiene. Our discussion turned to kitchen nightmares and she said she does not tolerate any of it. She has one employee that handles the cash, and if that person does something else, they wash their hands. There is no cross contamination. There are a few very important details when we eat out: cleanliness, good quality food and friendly/courteous service. Kathy's Grill exceeded our expectations, and we will definitely come back to try their other menu items. Kathy: It was dinner hour yet you stayed and chatted with us for well over 20 minutes! It was so nice to meet you; we will see you again very soon! Chicken Souvlaki Dinner - $11.45 Open Face Hot Hamburger - $7.45 Onion Rings - $3.40 Drinks - $1.40 each

Chicken Souvlaki dinner with huge portions and for only $11.45!?!? I'm there! @kathysgrill a hidden gem located in Scarborough serving up some amazing Greek food. They also serve a variety of other menu items such as burgers, poutine, open face burgers. It is a bustling restaurant which usually has lineups for their amazing food. I got the Chicken Souvlaki dinner served with salad, buttered buns, rice and your choice of potatoes or fries. The chicken was very juicy, tender and wasn't overcooked and portions were so big that I had troubles finishing it. It was overall very reasonably priced and super filling and would return!

Our favourite place for comfort green food. Been here many times. Simple, affordable and delish! Food is always consistently good! This place is take out only as there is no dining area. My husband usually orders the gyro or chicken souvlaki plate, which comes with Greek rice, potatoes and salad. My go to is the fish (fried like fish and chips) and also comes with rice, potatoes and salad. They also add a side toasted buttered bun (or pita when we order the gyro) The reason why I knocked off one star is we found a hair on the potatoes.

I found the best Greek food in Scarborough!! Kathy's Grille is conveniently located in the Kennedy and Lawrence area. This was my first time there. They offer a typical Greek menu along with some other items, like homemade burgers, poutine, steak etc. I was warmly greeted upon entering:) the staff is very friendly and the establishment is very clean! I ordered the Chicken Souvlaki dinner. You can see them preparing all the food in front of you... all the ingredients looked so fresh and clean. I will say that this was the best tasting chicken souvlaki dinner I ever had . The portion size was perfect, it came with Greek salad, rice, potatoes ,chicken souvlaki , a fresh bun and tzatziki sauce. Everything was fresh and delicious. The chicken souvlaki was moist and grilled to perfection. If your in the mood for some great tasting Greek food , try Kathy's Grille ! I will definitely be back to try some of there other menu options.

The gentleman was incredibly nice in explaining what the top favs were and was even nice to allow me to add an ingredient, as one of my spuds had something removed (no coleslaw for me). My order consisted of Mexican Fiesta and Nashville Chick. My husband took his Mexican fiesta potato as is, but I ended up switching my pulled chicken for fried chicken. The potatoes were amazing! The base potato was so flavourful and not bland at all, evenly seasoned on its own without the toppings. The toppers were delicious and went well with the spud. It hasn't even been a week, and I'm already jonesing for my next potato bar experience.

We walked into a busy, energetic space that stays lively throughout the day, with a steady flow of customers moving through the line. The dining room is casual and functional, the kind of place where the focus stays on the food rather than the atmosphere, and the bright, cheerful decor adds to the brand's playful identity. The Chickenjoy is easily the star of the menu. We ordered a few pieces and found the chicken had a crispy, well-seasoned coating while staying juicy inside, and it was even better dipped in the savory gravy that comes on the side. The spicy version added a noticeable kick without overpowering the chicken itself, and the balance of seasoning and heat made it a satisfying choice. The Peach Mango Pie is another must-order, with its flaky crust and warm, fruity filling that makes for one of the best fast food desserts around, and we found ourselves wishing we had ordered a second one. The Jolly Spaghetti is uniquely Filipino, featuring a sweet tomato sauce with sliced hot dogs and cheese, and while it is definitely different from traditional Italian pasta, it is worth trying if you want the full Jollibee experience. Other popular choices like the palabok and burger steak round out the menu with more Filipino-inspired flavors, giving you options beyond the standard fried chicken meal. The restaurant stays busy throughout the day, so waits during peak hours are common, but the staff generally keep orders moving as quickly as possible. Service is friendly, and despite the crowds, the dining room is usually kept clean and organized. The team handles the steady flow efficiently, and the turnover is fast enough that the wait does not feel excessive. Prices have increased over the years, making it less of a bargain than it once was, but the portions are satisfying and the food is consistently fresh. Jollibee remains one of the best fast food options if you are craving fried chicken with something a little different. Between the crispy Chickenjoy, iconic Peach Mango Pie, and unique Filipino menu, it is a place that is easy to recommend whether you are a longtime fan or visiting for the first time, offering a meal that feels both familiar and distinct, and a taste of Filipino fast food culture that stands out from the usual chains.
