He was so distraught and nervous, unlike any time I had picked him up before. he would not eat or drink and hardly wanted to go outside or play at all. I called TLC and the owner called me back and assured me they would check with Whitney to see if he was scared by another dog or something else. They never called me back after that, not even to check on my pup. I took him to the Shaggy Shack instead and explained what had happened at TLC. They said they had heard this from another client recently as well! And they also complained that they did not get a call back! Something strange is going on at this groomer. Proceed with caution!

Because she had a full schedule and would be squeezing my dog in throughout the afternoon, she warned me that it would be longer than the usual 3 to 4 hours. She told me she would call me when she was 20 minutes away from being done with my dog, but she was unable to tell me exactly how long it would take (It was closer to 6 hours). Given that no other groomers I contacted provide same day service, I feel this is a fair trade for being squeezed in on a busy day. So for those who are being squeezed into her schedule last minute, be aware that you will have to be flexible in return with your own schedule. When I arrived at the shop, there was a lot going on. For the easy-to-get-along-with canines, Mona allows the dogs to hang out with her in the same room as she grooms others. I was a little apprehensive about leaving my dog in a place that was strange to her, but my uneasy feelings were quickly appeased when I saw the demeanor of the dogs (and cat) that were in the shop. When I picked my dog up later that day, she was SUPER HAPPY and seemed to have bonded with Mona and her crew very nicely. With regards to the hair cut, Mona did a fantastic job. My dog looked great, and the price for her services was the best I've come across in the city. Mona is a very skilled groomer, and her warm personality made me feel comfortable with her right away. I have given Mona's Pet Salon 5 stars because of the value of her services given her exceptional skills as a groomer. However... because of how busy the shop is, the space is a little cluttered and may not be fancy enough for some. But Mona works her butt off in there every day, takes great care of her clients, and is truly gifted as a "pet stylist". Then all the sudden, she stopped responding to me. She wouldn't answer my calls or texts. I never had a bad interaction, I always tip and tip well. Literally no explanation, just a cold cut off. It'd been a while, so I decided recently to try to reach back out. Same old Mona, no response, and no call back. I never gave her a bad review as I was hoping to eventually start using her again, but its pretty obvious that she's intentionally cutting me out.

We were part of the recent merger from The City Dog Daycare to Park Your Paws. We are a couple…read moremonths in and so far, it has been a smooth experience. Ellie has been with The City Dog since 2018 and we're glad the space still feels familiar for her. There are some different faces around but we have experienced that over the years and love that Ellie still feels at home. We boarded her for 6 days and 5 nights in June (for Vaca) and were really happy with the care she received. Prices on boarding have gone up a lot for a dog suite, but they honored our previously booked rate which we appreciated. We also did a recent daycare visit on July 3 and still have several days left in our old package that we can use this year before making any real changes. The only downside is the change from member packages to a new (for us) monthly subscription model. It's not really that appealing or attractive to us. The subscription based model takes away the flexibility we enjoyed as longtime customer. So we never felt like we were losing money for services we didn't use. Overall, space is great, now larger, with the building combined and noting we are a couple months in on the merger. We will see how things go over the next few months, but for now we feel good about the transition and would recommend Park Your Paws Columbus-Downtown, especially for boarding and daycare. From the front desk to every team member involved, they showed my dog and myself nothing but care, professionalism, love. I was devastated to have to eventually put my dog down. I really appreciate everyone here going above and beyond on one of my hardest moments in life. Best dog training, boarding and daycare in Columbus!…read more First impressions are everything, and when stepping into All-Purpose K9 facility you don't hear dogs barking - all is calm. I've never experienced this at another dog daycare before! I was elated that all dogs were not crammed together and had space, along with the trainers being close by. My German Shepherd Husky mixes have loved learning all that Paige and team have put in front (more like to the side ) of them. Their controlled walking has been a night and day difference, especially when there are other distractions around. We've continued to work on everything that we have learned; heel, sit, place, and come. Coming from someone who…read morehated to even scold their dogs and always took the treat treat route, I have seen what K-9 training and discipline mean and it matters when the chips are down and your dog must obey or they or you get injured. Was there and this saves lives. I am so grateful. Also they do a SUPERB and reasonably priced groom. My Pyrenees mix was blowing her coat so badly, tufts all over. I looked like tarred and feathered just sitting around (Reminder to self, why I never had long white furred pooches before). Now her coat is totally deshedded, smooth , and so silky and NO white fur all over the place. This is after two other groomers did her and, if my black sweatpants was any evidence, utterly failed.

Very Disheartening…read more As a business located in Franklinton, Ohio, Play Pets management should be incredibly saddened. This morning I stopped in their empty parking lot for 1 minute to pack a bag and give a local homeless women socks, toothpaste, and other essentials. When I left my vehicle to deliver the bag I was immediately confronted by a staff member yelling that I couldn't park there. I acknowledged his concern and reassured him I would be back in 30 seconds tops. Nonetheless he continued to yell and threaten to tow me. Making the situation more absurd, after a minute of nonsense back and forth, I apologized and agreed to move my car 50ft to the next door gas station. I proceeded to deliver the bag to homeless women in 30 seconds. I am sure this is not the brand image and empathy a local business wants to portray, but it's only fair the community know what type of people are taking care of their loved pets.
