I must say, this place is great. Food was phenomenal and the other guests all had sweet tats. I was in Kauai for 7 days and spent my 7th night here after the local law suggested the place. This has to be the loveliest jail I've ever seen... While I didn't get a chance to stay here on my visit to Kauai, we did drive by it several times. The inmates looked happy as we drove past, apparently they get coffee everyday! Compared to all the jails I've seen on TV, I'd give this one 5 stars. read more

great place! probably the best jail i've been to in a while. i highly recommend the arts and crafts, and it got me through most rainy days. i am grateful i am allowed to wear pink instead of orange, as it is not a flattering color on me. there was bamboo flooring and coffee every day, as opposed to some of the more depressing prisons i've been to on the mainland! great atmosphere :) Mahalo! xo read more
