The produce was well organized, and there were several employees restocking the shelves as we shopped. For this week, I wanted to get ingredients to make California rolls, Banh Mi, Beef Pho, Spring Rolls, and Hot Pot, and was able to find all of the ingredients I needed here except for the French baguette for the banh mi. However, since it's right across the street from an HEB, it wasn't a major inconvenience. We also picked up some pantry items like snacks, tea, and instant ramen, and they had a really good selection of items to choose from. If you need some groceries imported from Russia there are not too many options in the Houston area. It's not an area that you associate with masses of Russian immigrants. But here is a place that has all your Russian import needs and it's pretty amazing. Houston has decent sized pockets of just about everything, so no wonder they need a good chunk of Russian grocery stuff for the Russians. I'm pretty sure the people running the place support Ukraine independence too. If they didn't, I might not visit often. Some of the imports are even good value, which is unusual for imports. You'd be surprised how not overpriced some of the things are. A much bigger selection than you'll find in any of the grocery stores.
