Most daycare are run to maximize profits like any business so unquantifiables like care take a dive Village drive kindercare in particular houses lot of kids in a small area and they happen to pass germs and diseases all the time. Imagine 20 adults in a 8 feet x 8 feet area- how uncomfortable would that be if you were one of those adults. Kids are more active and move around a lot more so that kind of area is too small. The space comment doesn't just apply to this daycare but to any daycare in this price range, when run at its full government approved capacity. We need to be talking to our representatives. Additionally, in every daycare, the regular teachers are relieved by part-time workers. They may not be all that motivated and not very caring. They are the ones you meet, when you pick up your kid. So any questions about your kids day are only answered by a vague yes or a well rehearsed great. If you probe a little, you discover the shallowness of their answers. Sometimes they say that they will relay your concern to the main teacher and you never hear back. Parents are too busy and tired after work to follow up. This is generally how most daycares function. The director here is always pleasant to talk to and so are most of the teachers. The have large playgrounds that seem safe. Their food quality seems to be ok.

To a certain extent, this review has haunted me. By that, I mean I've written it in my head…read moremultiple times in the middle of the night, I've started it over several times because it was not possible to include the names of each and every wonderful person and the service each of them provided and how they profoundly impacted the life of my family. There just aren't enough characters available in a review to tell you how important this service is or how each of us was changed by it. So for months it's been sitting in my drafts, but I finally decided to rewrite this review and try to make it as informational as possible. It started back in the hospital when the hospital arranged for us to talk to representatives from several hospices. Hospice Brazos Valley sent out a woman from the Bryan office who was lovely and respectful to my father and answered all my family's questions. She provided us with their book that ended up being a very useful guide that I read through several times, got our contact information and arrangements were made very quickly to have my father transferred back home by ambulance the next day. I was contacted by Wilbea Medical Equipment (through hospice), who came out and set up everything we needed before my father was discharged and trained me on how to use all the medical equipment. They were also patient as I took notes and repeated things so I could also train my other family members in how to operate the equipment as well. Honestly, they thought of everything. Several hours after my father was home, an intake nurse came and explained the process to us, made sure we had contact information, signs to post outside for having certain equipment and oxygen on site, another copy of their guide and literally went through every service and every question we could possibly have. My mother and I were also trained in how to administer medications we hadn't seen outside of the hospital before. We were given a schedule for nurses and home health aides to come out and care for my father and train us how to care for him between visits. As he rapidly declined, they quickly adapted to a more frequent schedule without us having to ask or advocate for his needs. They brought everything we needed as we needed it, including ways to administer medications when my father could no longer swallow. They were gentle with both my father and my family, and I do believe a community based organization like Hospice Brazos Valley has to be the definition of angels walking among us. This entire process didn't cost my family anything, which was hard to wrap my head around as everything had cost so much the prior 9 months. So it was fascinating to suddenly have supplies being provided if we ran low and not having to argue with offices over bills or coverage or make another run to Walgreens. The guide had so much information, I was glad to have my own copy to read in the middle of the night by my father's hospital bed. It included contact information for all their locations, a thorough breakdown of all the stages of hospice, how your loved one transitions and what each one means. It also contained a list of tasks to help get your loved one's affairs in orders, a page of local contacts for funeral homes, contact and explanations of home health aides and what they do, contacts for volunteers who could sit with your loved one if you had an appointment to attend, bereavement counselling and so much more. It was the most useful, tangible thing I held during the entirety of 2022 and I can't even explain to you how many resources I researched during that year once my father was diagnosed in early January. Their contact phone number handled everything, they even had stickers to put around the house so nobody would panic and not know who to call. When we had to first administer morphine, when we needed a message sent to a nurse, when we had a question about a service, it was the same number for all of it and the staff on the phone was equally as amazing as the staff that I dealt with in person. This included a middle of the night emergency we had, if we had needed a doctor or ambulance dispatched, and the first call when my father passed away. They did an excellent job preparing my family and I for each step as my father rapidly declined, and handled each of us very differently. I will never forget how kind they were to my mother or how many of my questions they answered privately because they could see the different needs each of us had. They really serviced my entire family, not just my father, in ways you cannot attach a cost to. The simple fact is, this was the most traumatic 9 days of my life. However, I can't think of a single thing Hospice Brazos Valley could have done differently to make it better, but I can definitely think of many, many ways they could have made it worse if they weren't so prepared and so compassionate. They earn every bit of these 5 stars and more.

During his last months of life, Hospice Brazos Valley tended to him at our home (Thank you, Kelly and Kalyn!). The care he received was excellent. The nurses were always respectful, efficient, kind, and prepared. They communicated well with each other, so nothing ever fell through the cracks. Hospitals could learn a lot from them. The day of my father's death, Kelly guided us through all that was necessary. I can't imagine what we would've done without her. I will forever be grateful for the care they gave my father and our family.

DO NOT send your child to this daycare unless you want your child put in timeout all day long because of a physical contact with another child. Things happen where children don't always get along with their classmates. But you threatened to put him on suspension if this happened again. In who's right mind would ever think that's fair. You should be contacting the parents when things like this arise. And then when my cousin expressed how she felt about it and asked for an explanation of the situation you removed him completely from the school. The teachers should be the ones suspended and not allowed to work with children. I hope your school is reported for this.

The materials they sell come from recycling from some Habitat for Humanity projects, vendor return/overstock/damage, contractor surplus and salvage, and ordinary people moving or replacing fixtures/cabinets/appliances, etc.... If you shop or donate here you could conceivably: Find precisely what you need. Find something to replace a worn item you hadn't budgeted to fix. Save a wheelbarrel of money. Buy a wheelbarrel. (I saw one there.) Support Habitat for Humanity. Recycle the above & many other items, reducing the environmental impact of production. Contribute to keeping these items out of landfills. Donate sell-able/salvageable items you replaced above, or even bought retail. Keep those replaced items out of landfills. Pretty cool, huh?

Kiddie Castle has been owned by the same family, the Hyder's, for over 20 years. They are good…read morepeople who genuinely care about children. They are continuously improving the center. The center has a very pleasant atmosphere with playgrounds on the facility that have lots of trees. The three and four year old wing is being completely renovated. The director has a very pleasant and professional disposition and the teachers are always friendly and interacting with the children. My daughter absolutely loves to go there. It seems like she fit-right-in! They provide breakfast and lunch and are on the food program. They have a curriculum schedule for each age group so as to provide age appropriate activities. They are bilingual as well. I would highly recommend Kiddie Castle to anyone that needs a good daycare.

I noticed this business was not yet on Yelp. Well I am so completely happy with the product and…read moreservice, that I wanted others to know. After my mother passed away last year, we were faced with finding a memorial when we really knew nothing of the local businesses that provided these services. In addition, we didn't want anything that would fade into a sea of other memorials, we really wanted a permanent memorial as special as the lady that it was meant to memorialize. Well, we walked into one business, and waited and waited. Finally the young guy spoke with us and showed us some of their memorials. Unfortunately, was not very motivated and just seemed like a job to him. We really wanted more than that for my mom. We then visited Choate Monument Company. It was immediately apparent that this was a mom and pop that had been in business a very long time (44 years to be exact!) Kim sat us down and went right to work. It was apparent that had the answers to anything that we had to ask. It wasn't long before we had the memorial that we were looking for, now the color. In the cemetery, we noticed a maroon colored stone that we thought was beautiful. We showed the stone to Kim and were told that it was called India Red. Awesome, that's what we want! Unfortunately we were informed that the stone must first be mined in India, shipped and then engraved. That would take close to a year, and it did. Last, we were given the total costs for the memorial. I really did expect more and thought the price was very reasonable for such a beautiful monument. Well we were very well communicated with during the whole process. After the stone was engraved, we dropped by to view the stone. It could not have been any more beautiful! The stone was set in the cemetery less than a week later. It was worth the wait. I will forever admire this beautiful tribute to my mom. Chris & Kim were caring and empathetic through the whole process. I wish I could find the words to express my sincere appreciation. Thank you both!
