You got every side, plus fried catfish, fried chicken, fried porkchop, smoked sausage, ribs - all the meats! I think, for a lot of types of food in Portland, there's a really healthy debate about "what's the best" - Italian, Mexican, Thai, sushi, pizza spot, etc. I don't think there's a debate for soul/comfort food. My order included Fried fish, Fried chicken wings, Corn on the Cobb, fresh Green beans, 1/2 of Smoked chicken, rices, dinner rolls, two small Sweet Potato cups, and to Peach Lemonade drinks! And trust me when I tell you that it was delicious! the only reason I give it 4 stars is because I feel like they can do better with packaging. Every weekend, I have to talk myself out of going to Kee's Loaded Kitchen. We all might be addicted to her fried chicken with gold dust. What's good: Errrythang! But the Mac and Kee's and fried chicken is highly addicting. The chicken tastes real clean like it's been scrubbed down with lemon water before perfectly seasoned, fried, and seasoned again. The ribs -- good lawrd I have to tell the truth and shame the devil: you're not getting better ribs anywhere in PNW. Kee's a true pit master. We finally went here after seeing numerous posts. First off, ten stars for Kee! She is just the sweetest person and almost everyone asked for a photo with her including me! Her food is pure soul and tons of it! The sausage was quite spicy and we failed to be warned before my husband took a huge bite. The chicken, both fried and bbq, were delicious. Came here on the recommendation of someone else. You could tell there were people waiting for orders but there was no line. I saw the list of food and asked which sides had meat to which the woman said she doesn't know. I do believe this is information the person taking orders should know as some people have dietary restrictions. There was a wait for the food but it wasn't too bad. The food looks like a lot. I forgot what the menu said but online there were mostly 5 sides, we ended up with 4: Mac n cheese, green beans, red beans and rice, and corn. There were 4 full fillets of catfish. The seasoning on the fish is on point and the big fillets make it feel very shareable, but the sides were definitely for one person only. The sides tasted okay, but the star was the seasoned crispy catfish. I will also note that an appropriate amount of tartar was provided. The price: $45 is a little pricey for a 1 1/2 person meal with sides that you may or not not like, but if you are a big eater and want a little to have the next day than this might be your jam. read more

I kept seeing people rave about Kee's on TikTok, so I knew it would be worth it to make the 40 minute trek to NE. As soon as I was handed my order, the smell was so amazing it was overwhelming. When I tell you that fish was seasoned like no catfish I've ever tried before, believe it. As soon as I got home i was so excited to dig into the sides, ribs, and wings. Visiting from Seattle, we decided to try this spot after noticing the recent uptick in reviews. Unfortunately, our experience was mixed. We waited a total of 1.5 hours, about 45 minutes in line and another 45 minutes after ordering before we got our food. We ordered the ribs and pork chops. The pork chops were a highlight--full of flavor and cooked perfectly. The ribs, however, were a disappointment: almost entirely fat with hardly any meat, making them inedible. Luckily, we got a spot right across the street. We both tried the fried fish and chicken combo. Usually comes 2 pieces of fish, but Kee herself gave us each an extra piece of fish because she felt they were small- shout out to her on that. I honestly don't know how many pieces of chicken were in that box. More than 10, probably closer to 20! The sides included: Mac and cheese, green beans, corn on the cob, rice and red beans, potato salad, a roll, and dessert. The food was mostly well seasoned (a little salty at times), but I was not a fan of the corn. It had some Old Bay seasoning on top, but the corn itself was tasteless. The fish was a little fishy, but if it was whiting, I've experienced that before. The rice and red beans were decent, but not mouthwatering, and the potato salad was a little bland. Green beans were the surprise of the plate- I didn't know green beans could taste so good. All the proteins were fried to magical perfection. Oh man this might be the best BBQ I've had. My group of friends and I got the everything plate which comes with every single item, side, a slice of cake, and two drinks (passion fruit lemonade). My favorites of the loaded kitchen were the burnt ends, wings, and dessert (chocolate cake). The burnt ends aren't super fatty and delicious. The wings are fried so light but are crunchy and juicy. The chocolate cake may look like something from a supermarket but it's nothing like it - its not overwhelmingly sweet and is moist for a cake. Overall, the BBQ is amazing. This is well worth the trip. We did the everything plate and it was more than enough to feed a small family. The lasagna was one of the best things I've eaten. It was saucy with the perfect amount of acidity and savory spices. The catfish was fried perfectly. Food took about 15 mins to get. It came out hot and wonderful. We were a little bummed we didn't get the strawberry cake, but the cookies were good. The truck had a steady flow of people around dinner time. They have tables outside and a small area to sit under an covered area if it was raining. There is plenty of parking. Service was quick.
