The Countryside Kitchens website says, "The entire process is carefully monitored to ensure a high quality job that meets with your approval." When I engaged their services to fit a new kitchen for November 2012 my experience of Jerry Ponder and his company was very far from this claim. I encountered the following difficulties: 1. Two cupboard doors were damaged during fitting. 2. A further door was clearly imperfect with pitted paintwork down one side. 3. Another door was the wrong size. I then had to endure a lengthy six-month wrangle to obtain four replacement doors. In spite of initially stating his intention to put right all of these matters, he then did nothing, leaving his project manager Lesley to take my many phone calls. It was only after I dealt directly with Callerton Kitchens, the manufacturer, that the issues were resolved. I found Jerry Ponder to be dismissive of my situation and his level of customer service falls well below that which is claimed on his website. I would never recommend Countryside Kitchens to anyone requiring modifications to their property.

From the very first meeting, my husband and I had no doubt at all, we would be utilising the expertise of Mr Young and his team...and a date was agreed. The tradesman arrived promptly, explained exactly what he was going to do, and to say his work was outstanding wouldn't be doing him justice...his work is SUPERB!! He was so precise, both with the job itself, and the clean up afterwards. We have an awful lot of work left to do in our home, but, we won't be looking for any other company, we will be consulting Mr Young for all other projects we plan on undertaking. The shop is very small and sandwiched inbetween Moods card shop and a beauty salon. There is one central bay style window which is packed with housing advertisments. Due to the small window size this can often appear very messy and disorganised. The adverts show houses that are either available to buy or rent in the local area. They also show houses that have been sold. Indoors there is a small, dimly lighted area with a couple of desks where the staff sit and will talk to you. I find the staff very competent and helpful as well as polite. They will do their very best to help you find what you are looking for. I have had experience in searching for a house with these guys and have to say they were totally professional, aligning details with properties and keeping in regular contact.

It was lovely and warm and very comfortable. It was spacious and well kitted out with a kettle and a small fridge. The fire pit is an excellent idea. It is lovely on a night to have the warmth from the fire whilst sitting outside under the stars. Facilities Absolutely spotlessly clean. The kitchen is really well kitted out, nice little sofa and a flat screen TV and loads of equipment. One of the ovens has a broken dial and the temperature is guess work but we managed. This is a lovely place and I would definitely go back.

This shop is located at the top west end of Bedlington Front Street. It is actually located in the…read moreupper floor of a house-like building and is sandwiched between a butchers and a chemist. There is a small hard-to-see slightly shabby signpost above the door. The sign is marked with contact information too. The door, which is usally kept pushed open, has a big step up and then there is a steep staircase which leads upstairs to the shop. It is a little daunting to climb the stairs and may be difficult if you have any walking problems. Disabled access is also therefore difficult, likewise for parents with prams. Parking is available in a free carpark behind the front street or on street level in limited spaces. The shop is quite large. The windows are painted with the name of the shop and the phone number. Stock and materials line the edges of the shop and it can look quite bulky and thrown together. There is a lot of choice of stock. The staff are friendly and will attend to you immediately. It is a quiet store and easy to get served quickly.
