Their "Sales Reps" (and I use that term LOOSELY) are not really REAL ESTATE agents, but are, rather, Sales Reps for a "marketing scheme". They're not interested in selling your home, because that would mean having to do some work - i.e., market research, comparison of features, upgrades, location, assessed values, etc. They're more interested in selling their "high-priced" marketing "system" - 6% commission + HST, and drumming up business for their "partners" - stagers, mortgage consultant who works for a BANK - oh yeah, they'll really work hard to get you the best rate LOL!!, window cleaning company, driveway sealer, painters - they say that "they pay" for the staging, however any work that needs to be done is at the homeowners expense! What a joke! She told us that with 6% your house will be seen by hundreds of thousands of people online... When we asked how that works, she told us that our house would be on Twitter, Instagram, Kijiji and YouTube - all of which are FREE - anyone can post there! Why would we pay Dan Plowman 6% to post on those sites? The so-called "agent" we had did no research on the market, selling prices of houses in our town, no research on the town itself and what it had to offer. She showed us numbers that were completely irrelevant to our situation, but that supported her position, comparing apples to oranges - outright lying and presenting information all designed to mislead us and convince us to list far below what we should be asking for our home. She was also very insulting and critical in her comments about our home and the town it's located in - everything she says and does is designed to make us believe that our home is not worth what we think (know) it is. This is to get the house sold quickly without her having to do any work. They must operate on volume - i.e., low-ball the prices of homes so they can say they sold more than anyone else. Dare I say that a MONKEY could sell a home if it's priced low enough! When we asked pointed questions about % achieved over asking price, she showed us their numbers from 2017!! (During the boom). It is now the end of April 2018, so surely their first quarter numbers must be available by now.... I guess those numbers didn't support the "story" she was telling us. Here is another example of how she tried to mislead us: We are located in Uxbridge and our home is a bungalow in a prime location and neighbourhood. Instead of researching what detached homes have recently sold for IN UXBRIDGE, she would only tell us what the average home is selling for in all of Durham. How ridiculous! Here are the numbers so you can see very clearly what she was trying to do: Average Sale Price of a detached home in Durham in February 2018: $656,970, Average Sale price of a detached home in Uxbridge during same timeframe: $789,420 !!!! (Highest average in all of DURHAM - she conveniently avoided telling us that, by saying she didn't bring the Uxbridge averages with her.... yeah, and we know WHY she didn't!) To sum up, we are OVERQUALIFIED to be her clients - i.e., not dumb or stupid enough and have done our homework. We know what game she is playing and quickly pulled the pin! This was probably the worst experience we've ever had with a real estate agent, and between the two of us, we have done a total of 29 real estate deals buying and selling houses, condos and cottages. I will say, though, that if I were a buyer, I'd definitely check out the Dan Plowman listings.... they will be at low-ball, bargain basement prices and you'll be paying tens of thousands of dollars less for a comparable house. They ARE NOT working to get the seller top dollar - they are working to sell as many houses as quickly as they can... who cares if the seller is getting cheated out of tens of thousands of dollars - they certainly couldn't care less about that!

The staff are polite and have always been able to answer my questions. They are there when you need them, but not bothering you with unnecessary things. Rent is reasonable for the area, and the properties are kept in good condition through the on staff maintenance team. I am happy to recommend them.

I found my new apartment suite absolutely immaculate, clean, freshly painted and bright and sunny. I have already met a few neighbours and notice that everyone I pass by in this building greets with a friendly demeanor and a hello...you feel like part of a real community here! It is starting to get really rough in terms of being able to use the property. At one point my dogs…read moreand child and I could walk freely. Now there is so much dog poo all over the place outside we feel trapped. It would be nice to move someplace with refreshing outdoors. Due to the uptick in fecal matter everywhere I allowed my dog to use dirt to pee in. I was notified not to do that even with snow on the ground and flower plucked. We then used the grass. Because of the filthy property per say, every animal and person in my home is sick starting with the animals. If you plan to move someplace youre children can run outside look elsewhere unfortunately. The entire backfield has dog poo issues with random needles about. Then your own property also can get you sick riddled in fecal matter. I wish I hadn't moved here knowing we no longer can be safety outside unless we drive elsewhere. Really wish the grass wasn't so filthy, my whole family got sick now stepping in other dogs stuff at 119 nonquon. really wish i knew it would be like this before settling... so trapped now with economy... if you have kids or animals, safest bet is to find a cleaner area to live. our quality of life has dropped so much over the months. i mentioned how much dog poop was everywhere nothing was done, unless it was to notify about dog pee in garden dirt with snow over it, so obliging we now suffer the consequences. our quality of life has dropped for a while here, something changed over the years, and now we are stuck with a sickness not easily going away. think twice if you have kids or animals, they deserve clean grass. this isnt right.

The agent from this agency handling the lease, called me and to ask about my interest in the apartment, but it was more like an interrogation. He became more and more rude during the call until he was yelling, telling me the apparentment was not for me. He didn't inquire about my income, only about how many people would be looking to live there. It is my understanding that being polite would be a basic requirement of being a real estate agent. Obviously this is a low quality real estate agency if it hires rude agents.
