We found this hidden riverside oasis in Bridgewater adjacent to the business district in Beaver. The back "Kelly's Island" area was very peaceful and laid back. I enjoyed a simple margarita on the rocks, which was your typical mix concentrate with well tequila. There was some live steel drum music playing when we first arrived. Waited over an hr for my song to be up because he kept letting everyone else go before me. Does it seem odd to have a tropical paradise in the middle of Beaver County... Not if you are a Hawaiian born Parrothead like me. Kelly's has a spacious tropical paradise overlooking the river, where it feels like you're sitting in your buddies backyard ready for a few Coronas. There is tiki torches, backyard games and sand under your feet if you sit out back (I think its a more traditional Saloon setting inside). We had a group of four and ordered our drinks as soon as we sat down. It was a while before our waitress showed back up as we were ready for drink refills and to put in our lunch orders. I went with the bbq bacon cheeseburger and my wife went with a salad and my brother had the fish tacos. My burger was good but needed a bit more bbq sauce. My brother was happy with his fish tacos but my wife was just a bit disappointed in her salad. Overall the setting was fantastic with lots of things to keep you occupied because you'll need to keep busy, our waitress was painfully slow with everything she did and it wasn't even a busy afternoon. I think if you come here in great weather for the beach sand bar to probably drink & pretend you're in Florida, but you're actually sitting by the Beaver River you'll be happy. I had lunch here on a fairly busy Monday about 11:45. My server, Cynthia, was doing a great job covering multiple tables which all were seated within probably a 20 minute period. I had 2 Coronas with lime that were ice cold. She brought me a water & a refill without asking. I had 6 bone in dry Cajun ranch wings. They were ok, but I couldn't taste any ranch & the Cajun stuff was just sprinkled on. I had 3 mahi mahi tacos. The fish pieces were a decent size, but there was hardly anything else in them except a bit of lettuce & drizzled of pineapple salsa sauce. So I'd venture to guess food is not the stand out feature here. It's definitely a unique place with actual sand & palm trees & hibiscus. That's the draw coupled with drinking by the water. A fun hang with friends if you're thirsty rather than hungry. The inside is a divey dark Irish pub. I most likely would never go in winter or bad weather. read more

Although the service wasn't bad the restaurant leaves alot to be desired. We only went based on the menu we found online. Once we arrived we were told 90% of the items on the online menu are unavailable as that menu is 2 years old. Misleading to say the least. We ordered beaver county's best nachos and a complete disappointment, you're better off to have your 8 year old make you a walking taco. Condiments on the table were spoiled from sitting in the sun on the outside patio. 4 out of 6 of our parties food arrived, were basically done eating and waiting for to go boxes before our other 2 guest could recieve a simple order of chicken wings. Place might not be bad just for a drink, otherwise order food somewhere else. Only thing good about the place is all the sand on the outside patio. It gives the neighborhood feral cats somewhere to deficate after eating all the horrific food from the dumpsters that customers didn't want. Clearly the best party spot in the area, full of characters! Went for Halloween and was not disappointed. The happy bartender was dressed in a suggestive giant hotdog costume and the DJ completely flattered my smoking hot cold blooded viking girlfriend. Monday - snow crab leg night. Fantastic!! The outside environment with sand and real palms, transports you to a beach vacation but you are beside the Beaver River. Drinks were reasonably priced and the crab legs were great. Don't be in a hurry and you will be happy. read more

A true destination location. About an hour from the Lake Milton youngstown Salem ohio areas, the pictures do the place justice. The outdoor area is snog-tastic! There is another place next door. Kelly's and the other place are hard by the river, beautiful views of the floating marina and choo choo trains across the river. The food is pert durned good as well. Ordered fried provolone sticks...20 min later, the waitress says that another server took them. That's fine - she got another order in. 25 minutes later, she apologizes. This is a charming hang out for people in Beaver and Rochester counties. It serves your typical pub food with a bit of a twist, but nothing too fancy. Standard beers on tap with a couple of craft handles, and a decent bottle selection. Today, two friends and I arrived during the Brunch session. It was PACKED! I mean, line out the door packed. We weren't even there for the brunch! Luckily, they have plenty of indoor and outdoor seating, so getting a table was no problem. There's no hostess seating, though, so we waited a bit before realizing we should have just sat down. Our waitress was kind, but service was slow and sporadic. I ordered the field green salad with steak. It was very tasty and fresh. My one friend ordered the brunch, but it was close to the end of brunch time, so her plate didn't look appetizing. My other friend ordered the coconut shrimp and the fried green beans, but ended up eating the beans out of their breading because the breading was too thick. First time terrible experience. We are fairly new to the area and like to try new places whenever we have a night out. We like beach themed bars so we thought we would give it a try. As soon as we arrived, we asked for a table for two. We were taken to a back corner and seated at a very small table next to the port a johns. Not sure why any establishment would think its a good idea to seat a dinner party next to port a johns. The table and chairs were on a slope and we were literally leaning in our chairs as we sat. We asked to move due to the location and were told to sit where we would like and our waitress would find us. Drinks were ordered and mine arrived with a fly in it. My wifes drink (from the drink special menu) was without a doubt the worst tasting drink possible. It had a very chemical stale taste to it and Im pretty confident that there was little to no alcohol in it. We then ordered an appetizer to snack on before our dinners. 20 minutes went by and no appetizer. Our waitress was nice and told us she would check on the status but would take our dinner order if we were ready. We place our order and minutes later we were served our dinners but still no appetizer. As we began to eat, our appetizer arrived. We notified our server that we no longer wanted the appetizer due to having our dinners. Once again, she was very nice and had the manager come to our table to speak with us. The manager was very understanding and advised us that she would remove the appetizer from our bill. Customer service was good but everything else was well below what is expected. read more

The waitress was good but the food took forever and came out with half the order per person at a time. The dj/owner was busy socializing and drinking than doing his job. When I left a review he came over to our table and verbally bashed me infront of everyone. Preceded to trash talk me over the mic. That wasn't good enough he came back a second time (after he stalked me on Facebook) told me to get the f#*k out and go back to Conway where I can get better service and cheap drinks. Well, I had to tell our experience. My family and I have been drowned out of a lot of our 4th of July plans because of all the rain. Sister in from North Carolina and able to to do some things. We found this restaurant and many of us very excited about the location and super cool back patio. We looked forward to a visit but saw the reviews and heard from some locals about the service being horrible. I even called ahead to check to see how staffed they were on the day before the 4th for dinner at around 5:30pm. The answer was they were not fully staffed in the front house...not exactly sure what that means but assumed short servers. Well, with a prayer going up despite what could be a long night--we decided to go anyway. We were told to sit in a little spot in a corner that would accommodate our group of 6. Seemed to have enough servers around and there was a pretty good crowd in the back when we got there. Went ahead and began drink and appetizer orders. We had the most wonderful server Olivia. Throughout our whole time there...though tucked away and initially I wondered if we would be forgotten by being seated in the corner--not so, she was on top of everything and checked on us many times to make sure we were good. We did not have a long wait for food and we enjoyed ourselves very much. I do believe in prayer so I gotta give props to the big One upstairs...but also to our wonderful server. Everyone loved what we ordered...food was great. I had the shrimp/steak with onion rings and grilled veggies...super good and highly recommend. I say all this not to put down someone's bad experience...but I think it is important to share when you have a good one. First time there and I will never go back. We had to sit in the bar area as a party had rented the dining area. The music was blaring and it smelled like cleaning chemicals. Our server was attentive and friendly. The food was awful! I ordered their version of a famous Pittsburgh sandwich. Which the menu says theirs is better. Not even close! Just because you put 2 fries, a spoonful of soured coleslaw and a piece of sweating provolone on some mystery meat. Then serve that on grease soaked bun! Does not make a great culinary experience. The theme continued. A family member ordered a burger med. It was heavily charred on the outside the burger was dry and again the bottom bun was soaking in grease. But our server (I believe her name was elleanna) did not give us good service and it could have been because we are younger. She was genuinely RUDE to us, and just did not do her job whatsoever. She never checked on us, we had to ask 3 times for our waters. As a server myself, it's frustrating having to feel bothersome when I would never treat customers the way she did. My chips for my crab dip were completely crumbled. I asked for more, they added about 5 whole chips to the top and gave it back. My friends Pub chips were not cooked, they were actually flimsy. Kelly's is an interesting bar located in Beaver County. There aren't a lot of other bar's that are as cool as this one. Drinks can be a little expensive depending on what you're drinking. I've personally never had the food but my girlfriend and a couple friend's have and they loved it. It's very nice to sit outside on a warm night and feel sand between your toes and be on the water. They have boats outside and boats come by a lot. There are a lot of places to sit. The staff isn't very helpful, half the time they're more worried about playing on their cell phones or talking to each other and forget about their customers. Overall, decent location. read more

WE WILL NEVER GO BACK!! It was by far the WORST service we have ever had. New to boating in the area and having a boat on the river there we decided to try it. We sat down and were totally ignored, I had to go to the bar to get our drinks. Then I had to go back to the bar and ask for menus. Then the server Sam, yelled over from the barstool to see if we wanted to order... she came over to take our order holding a cigarette.. REALLY!!! We wanted another beer... I had to go to the bar again.. got ignored... went inside... got ignored there again... finally I went up to a bartender and asked for our check.. he was rude... Did I mention we waited an hour for our wings? She never brought us silverware or came back. They weren't even busy! The pork roast ham Cubano like sandwich was TO DIE FOR, similar but like nothing I've ever had when it comes to a Cubano. It had pork, ham, mustard and pickles but the pork was a thick slice, maybe 1" of roasted pork. YUMMY! This sandwich was done perfectly. I also tried the burger but mine was overdone so I wouldn't try that again but nothing beat the pork sandwich that 5 day trip. The BEST part about Kelly's (like I said before) is the outdoor patio, reminds me of Hawaii, tropical, hibiscus, palms, riverside, boats, absolutely beautiful. I give a huge hive five to Kelly's. Let's be clear, when you enter through the front door you are absolutely in a dive bar location. It is everything a hometown bar should be. A few years ago I came during the winter and sat in one of their booths and had a blast with cheap drinks and good company. This time, it was summer when I came for a quick appetizer. You exit the main structure and suddenly you walk to outside and are met by an outdoor oasis. They have brought in sand and palm trees and the whole restaurant looks over the river. With the ambiance and island music playing, immediately you feel as if you are in the Caribbean. We could only stay a short time, but I could have sat there all afternoon. We ordered the coconut shrimp and the onion rings. Both were perfectly fried. But the real highlight was our outstanding waitress. Attentive, friendly and just an awesome person. She told us all about their weekday specials (including $1 hamburger and fries, etc). Ample boat docking (it was not too busy and most were full, so maybe some of the slips are seasonally rented but I am sure they have guest slips),. If I lived close by, I would be a regular. I do think they could update their interior to reflect the island vibe they have outside, but who cares?! This is a place to go and relax and have cheap food and cheap drinks with a great staff.
