    Broiled seafood
    John K.

Stopped in for a late lunch on Friday. First off, service was outstanding. My wife and I both ordered the broiled combination and it was well worth the price. I also had the mushroom soup and French fries. But my order started with oysters on the half shell and a martini. Everything was very good. In fact my only slight negative is the tarter sauce which was a bit too sweet for my liking. All in all a great experience, and will be returning soon to try some of their other offerings.

Food is always delicious! Kathy, Lori & Jeanine are amazing, their service is always on point. Not sure why the low stars but it def is a hidden gem!

My sister gives a five for her scallop platter, soup, and over all experience. I really enjoyed my food and experience, as well. The only thing I would change is using fresh cut potatoes for the fries but overall very happy with my crab cake platter and soup. Nice restaurant with a bar area, too, for your enjoyment. The wait staff were very nice and friendly and attentive. Check them out!

Passed by this place the other day and decided to give them a try. 1) Place was welcoming and clean. 2) Host was Friendly and sat us promptly. 3) Waitress was very friendly, attentive, and helpful. 4) Food was goodZ we ordered several items to try: A) Strip streak was good and cooked just right. B) Filet and Salmon was good and salmon was moist and cool correctly. C) Oysters and Clams were fresh and delicious. D) Soups was good. Had a very thick consistency. E) Beers were fresh and cold. F) Mac and Cheese and other items were also good. See pictures below. Over all I would return to this location again. Please give them a try.

The waitress at Kelly's are top notch!!!! Denise was also amazing!

Wonderful traditional seafood restaurant where the food and friendly staff are top rate! My in-laws ate at Kelly's on Bustleton Ave. for close to forty years. Last Friday we hosted a Celebration of Life in honor of my father in law after his funeral. The staff remembered him even though he had been living on SC for the past nine years. This place is the truly one of a kind!

I called in my order and the woman on the phone said it would be ready in about 20 minutes. I ordered two Hot Fuzz (one for my fiancé and his friend) and a Tuna Italiana. When I arrived, there were 4 customers inside waiting for their orders and browsing the massive selection of chips. Chubby's also sells beverages so you can make it a complete meal. Additionally, they serve breakfast sandwiches and are open 7 days a week! The Tuna Italiana sandwich really blew me away. The sharp provolone cheese, roasted red peppers and seeded roll made for a really nice flavor profile. Everything tasted fresh. They cut the sandwich in half properly so you aren't struggling to break it apart. Service was pleasant and fast, and prices are reasonable. It's slightly more expensive than Wawa but also more flavorful. Chubby's is my go-to now for deli sandwiches since it's in such close proximity to home.

Café Carmela -- Pumpkin Pizza & More!…read more On Halloween night, I stopped by Café Carmela excited to try one of their seasonal favorites, the Pumpkin Pizza! Since the restaurant was busy (understandably so), we started with the Meatball Salad, which turned out to be a fantastic choice. It came with crisp romaine, tomato, onion, red wine vinegar, EVOO, ricotta cheese, and delicious, tender meatballs. The mix of creamy and tangy flavors worked perfectly together, a great way to kick off the meal. When I asked our waitress for a recommendation, she mentioned that Café Carmela is known for their vodka sauce, my personal favorite, so I ordered the Drunken Rigatoni. It featured San Marzano tomato, cream, Stateside vodka, basil, and Grana Padano cheese. I also added a chicken cutlet on the side (because protein goals ). The dish was excellent, the flavor was spot on, though I personally would've liked the sauce just a bit creamier. Still, I'd absolutely order it again. Then came the star of the night: the Pumpkin Pizza. If you're a fan of seasonal specials, this is a must-try! It had arugula, ricotta, mozzarella, roasted garlic, sage, and roasted pumpkin, all beautifully balanced. The flavor was rich, cozy, and full of fall vibes. Next time, I'd just ask for the crust a little crispier (personal preference), but the pizza itself was amazing. This pizza is only available once a year, so definitely mark your calendar for next fall because Café Carmela's Pumpkin Pizza is worth the wait.

That left space for a table with the birthday cake, a small table for the leftover food, and a table for wine as the restaurant is byob. We started with pizza, and I especially enjoyed Mamma Leuzzi's pie with balsamic vinegar. A Caesar salad and antipasto tray were also on the food table. Served family style was Carm's parm which was good and the Drunken Rigatoni. The vodka sauce on the rigatoni was the star of the show and made this dish my personal favorite. For dessert, the tiramisu was good, but I appreciated that they also served the birthday cake. However, the coffee was lukewarm at best. The family was able to bring in balloons and decor. That, coupled with background music, added to the ambiance. Service was excellent too. Be advised that the parking here can be a challenge. We got lucky, but the restaurant lot is very small.

Why offer them if you are not going to read them? I ordered a tuna hoagie and the only way to ask for no cheese and no toppings was in the instructions - plainly printed on the receipt. The tuna hoagie was of course loaded with onion, lettuce, tomato and all the things I did not want. We could scrape them off but that really isn't the point. The cheeseburger hoagie was not good at all. The meat had a funny dry, mealy texture. It was hard to choke down even a fourth of it. I asked for American cheese, lettuce, tomato, and yellow mustard. They made it their way, not my way. No mustard at all of any kind. I also asked for deli half-sour pickles but didn't get them. Maybe they're a deli with no pickles!! Okay, so now I know. However, many of you might not know that Mister Ricks also makes great cheesesteaks. They have one of the best cheesesteaks I've eaten in Philly. The sliced ribeye is tender, juicy, and flavorful and stuffed into a giant seeded roll. A bargain for $14.99. Get it with fried onions and your choice of American, Provolone, or Cooper Sharp Cheese (hint: get Cooper Sharp!). It was so good I didn't even need to add any flavorings like ketchup or mayo to it (some cheesesteaks in South Philly are so dry they need ketchup and mayo to make them palatable). Mister Ricks cheesesteak is also physically larger than a lot of cheesesteaks I've eaten, so not only do you get a great cheesesteak, but it's also a great BIG cheesesteak that can be shared, especially if you get a couple of bags of chips. Oh, yes, they also have a vast array of chips and Coca Cola soda products to choose from. My son pointed out that this cheesesteak rivals and even beats any of the fancy, famous cheesesteak shops I've taken him to all around Philly. Totally true. I can name some of them, but then those shops might not like me anymore! Service is always quick and efficient. They serve a lot of folks on days with sporting events so if you're in a hurry, call ahead to place your order. Sure, their hours are a little unusual, but I get it--they probably don't need to stay open all day because the local crowd keeps them busy, and honestly, the hoagies are just that damn good.
