Four years ago, my future husband, good friend, and another friend (who unfortunately I am no longer in touch with) went to Osoyoos to visit the wineries. We had a great time, and doing another wine trip has been high on my travel list. Due to COVID-19, my travel plans for 2020 were cancelled, leaving only local travel as an option, so it was the perfect opportunity to do another wine trip. This time I went to Kelowna, another city known for its wineries.
I went over the Labour Day Long weekend with my husband, my sister, the same good friend from the Osoyoos trip, and another good friend. We rented an Airbnb with a hot tub (our motto for the trip is #hottubwine), and we went to several wineries, a gin distillery (there were donkeys!), a meadery, a cidery, and a kangaroo farm. We had an absolute blast, and it will definitely be one of my favourite trips, one that would not have happened if it weren't for COVID.
