Had to stop here after seeing this bull!!!

I'm here to celebrate my birthday! I love this local family owned restaurant! I prefer family owned over chain restaurants any day! We were seated and the atmosphere was warm and welcoming! It's cold here today so everything is just cozy and warm. Melanie was our server. She is the epitome of service excellence. Her knowledge, demeanor, and professionalism was outstanding! She looks like Drew Barrymore's twin and seriously made our dining experience fantastic! I ordered the ribeye, medium well, with Kelsey butter (a phenomenal Irish garlic butter). The French Onion soup, salad and veggies were awesome. I topped it off with two glass of Simi Cabernet Sauvignon Sonoma wine. Yum!!!! For dessert, I had a slice of eggnog cheesecake to go. The plate read Happy Birthday and had a candle. Very cool! I love everything about this restaurant! It's a must go. When you come, ask for Melanie. She will hook you up!

I went for the filet mignon and it did not disappoint. The meat was so tender I barely needed a knife. It had this buttery flavor and was topped with a little herb butter that melted right in. I liked that the portion size was filling but not overwhelming. The server gave great wine pairing advice and everything came out in good time. The atmosphere was warm and kind of romantic without being over the top. Definitely a solid steak spot worth revisiting.

The sirloin surprised me with how tender and juicy it was. I usually go for fattier cuts but this one was super flavorful on its own. It came with a house salad and baked potato, and both were done right. Service was fast and friendly, and our server had good energy. The place has kind of a rustic charm which I enjoyed. Everything tasted fresh and well-prepared. A great value for the quality.

Nice steak place! Very good steak and service. Our filets were cooked to perfection and saw the manager come by and ask if everything tasted ok. The house salad is pretty plain and I asked for cracked pepper and they didn't have any which I thought was odd. Wishing the ambiance was a bit nicer here but it's more casual dining. The French onion soup is really good and they give you little scissors to cut the cheese. Overall a good place to have a nice steak dinner!

Highly don't recommend to anyone who has a shellfish allergy. I went here and then had an allergic reaction for 3 days straight.

Prime rib will always be my favorite here. Kelsey's style with the shrimp skewer for the win every time. Good vibes and even better service.

It looked like reservations are highly recommended if you're planning to dine in. The ambience was elegant, calm, and intimate, and the service was hard-working, cheerful, and accommodating. Our large group ordered a variety of drinks, and not a single person was disappointed. I can personally vouch for the espresso martini and the Fashioned in Apple; both perfectly suited my tastes. For dessert, a friend ordered the chocolate mousse while I chose the Yule Log. The presentation was gorgeous and delicate, and of course, they were delicious. Now I just need to come back to try the food. The prices might sting a bit, but I have a feeling my taste buds will convince me it's worth it.

A quick tip: definitely call ahead for a reservation. The dining area is small but cozy, offering a really intimate vibe. The cocktails were fantastic, and the staff couldn't have been friendlier. The food? Outstanding. You can tell the owner knows a thing or two about authentic flavors--probably from time spent traveling and living abroad. I really appreciated how true the dishes stayed to their roots. The semi-open kitchen was also a great touch--it shows they're confident in their craft and proud of what they're serving. I'm not usually big on desserts, but wow. Honestly, they might be more known for their desserts than the entrees, but both were amazing. What really pulls it all together is the service--attentive, thoughtful, and full of personality. That's what makes this place special.

We had to occasionally wait to ask for items such as plates for the appetizers. DRINKS- Old, sour, flat beer. Maybe the keg lines need to get cleaned out? Maybe the beer is just old? I don't know what it is but it just didn't taste right on tap or even in the can. Had a pungent with no carbonation taste to it. At least my mom liked her red wine. FOOD- Overall just alright and average. Seems to be a hit or miss. Calamari- Rubbery and hard to chew. I think it was over cooked Oysters Rockefeller- Tasted like a puke ball. There was only 5 of them. I couldn't even taste the Oysters as it was overwhelmed by other flavors. Tasted like buttery breadcrumbs. Chicken Noodle soup- Was told it is the "best" in Porter County. I got a cup. It was good but only half way filled. I think it needed more chicken. Chicken Parmesan- Sauce could have been better. Pasta was good Sausage and Mushroom Pizza- Thick raw crust on the bottom! Doughy and frozen pizza quality. The pizza looked good on the top but the crust on the bottom tasted raw and mushy. My brother said it was worse the a veggie lasagna from Gordon Food Service which we never even finished eating all of it. PRICE- Over priced for a "fancy" higher class restaurant. The bill was $95 for 2 appetizers, 2 entries and 4 beers and 2 glass of wine. How can this be a scratch kitchen with such a wide and diversified menu?

The ambiance is ok with a bar over 21 with high tops and a family dining area with tables and booths. Food was good and it was pleasantly quiet, but was a Monday evening. Super pretentious restaurant where no substitutions, deletions, additions, subtractions, or…read moreamendments of any kind are allowed. Any chance I could get that without... Nope! But I don't really like... Order something else! But let's keep going... Reservation at 745 at a full restaurant and I notice that no one, NO ONE, has any food on their table...hmmm... Quickly get some drinks and order. Appetizers arrive at 915...915... That's 1.5 hours later... to get appetizers... of oysters and salmon tartare. Keep in mind this wasn't to go diving in the sea and catch the oysters and salmon, but rather to shuck oysters, and also serve salmon tartare = doesn't require any cooking! But let's keep going... A full 2 hours after ordering, dinner finally arrives. During this time I've read War and Peace, crocheted a sweater, and grown a full beard. Meanwhile, during this two hour wait, not even a mention from the waitress or anyone else about, hey sorry for the delay... Sorry we're backed up... We're really backed up... We're short staffed...The chef lost an arm while preparing dinner... Anything? Nothing. Communication would have been helpful because maybe could have decided to pull the plug and call it a night. No, instead it's like carry on as of nothing's wrong. A few more things to add: -This is the second time I've been here. The first time wasn't great but, you know, second chances right? There's no third chance -During dinner I walked by the kitchen a few times and there was NOTHING happening. There were plenty of people, just doing nothing. It's not like there were 78 steaks on the grill and a beehive of activity. -Since deletions, substitutions, additions or amendments of any kind aren't allowed and since I don't eat the sides that came with my meal, I ordered a separate side of spinach. About 1.45 hours into the ordeal, the waitress tells me they're out of spinach. I don't care, I tell her, I don't want anything else just please bring our dinners. -The restaurant is LOUD. If you've ever eaten on the deck of an aircraft carrier, well that's quieter than this restaurant. -Finally, their Internet was down so no credit cards, so I paid cash and ran out of there like my hair was on fire -Food was meh, but definitely not worth the price So in conclusion, unless you want to spend most of your adult life waiting for an OK dinner, while losing your hearing, I would skip Main and Lincoln.
