Total dump. Owner has the personality of a mop. When I mentioned the food was burnt she came over and gave me a lame excuse about following the directions on the box. They make you pay for your food before you get it. I now know why. I felt bad for the waitress. She came to take our dishes and she saw that I didn't eat the pizza rolls. I just told her to toss them. I've been to this place before many moons ago and it was not like this. Must be different owners. The best part of the entire experience was the "service" dogs. Two bull dogs. So cute. They had pink collars on that said they are service dogs but I doubt it. read more

Aug 20/19: Not sure how "inbrampton" ranked this pub as Top 5 in Brampton but this wasn't good. The creditability of the "inbrampton" site took a hit for this recommendation in my mind. The place is old, run down & in bad need of a remodel. The washroom was disgusting & in bad need of a through cleaning. The service was decent but the stand up bar rail was sticky & dirty. As for the food itself, it was moderate but it's difficult to mess up fish & chips. the coleslaw was clearly old, brown & I didn't eat it. The portion size was decent which is the best thing I can say about this spot. I can't see myself going back again any time soon. read more

-after seeing fb reviews on the racism, maybe that's why it took me 50 mins for service!- Where do I even begin, disclaimer this is a LONG review. My friend and I went out for a GNO, she's a singer and wanted to do karaoke so we came to Keltic rock... when we get there it's not too bad on the outside (in the front), security wasn't rude or anything, and they had a table on the inside of the door for hand sanitizer and a guest book to sign. We go to the back to check it out, the back has two dumpsters near by so you do smell garbage tbh, the picnic tables were sketchy to sit on, felt like they were going to break so we went inside. Walking inside the male bartender offers us a vodka soda sampler, which was actually good! We sit at a HUGE table (again just us two) and proceeded to wait for FIFTY (50) minutes before we got served. I'm not joking, we got there 10:30, didn't get serviced until 11:20. The bartenders were running around handing drinks, food, joking around with customers... and yet there we sat near the bar and nobody came up to us... ACTUALLY the same male bartender dropped off coasters when we sat down and that's it. We were told when I got my sampler that they would come to us, so the entire hour of us sitting there we kept saying "are we supposed to go up... no, he said he'll come to us!". Finally The lovely bartender Jen/Jenna came to Us and asked if we were okay - that's when I told her we've been here for an hour, nobody's come up to us - Apparently that same male bartender told her he came to us, asked if we needed anything and we APPARENTLY said we were okay.... that NEVER happened. Jen brought us shots to make up for it, but there's nothing that could've fixed my frustration, anger on the inside with this place and the hospitality. As two single females who are definitely some of the best dressed people at the bar, would you NOT want to check up on them? If women come in - it'll make/attract more men to spend money, that's just common sense. On top of that we'd been there about an hour and 15/30 mins before we got our food, so I spent the rest of the night throwing up when we got home because if we had been served when we got in, we would've had enough food in our system to drink. The karaoke wasn't the best, but the people that went up had a great time. They took about 1-2 mins to "clean the mic", when my friend went on she literally could not have been heard. The mic wasn't working conveniently for her, but it did for everybody else and instead of restarting, they just told her to keep going. I got the large fries, they aren't seasoned one bit, she got the Sheppards pie and again, meat wasn't seasoned. Bathroom wasn't too sketchy, I mean someone did get walked in one when I was there, and they could definitely use paper towels instead of blow dryers that just spread germs around. Finally we decided to leave, my friend who is a small girl, got too intoxicated because again - not enough food in the system. We went outside to wait for the rain to stop and a girl heard me talking about how I would never come back, she told me to come inside and bought me a shot - that was the ONLY time the male bartender apologized, only when I went up and then gave us a double shot to make up. Overall, I think they might be over serving, especially if they see people haven't ate, but would I come back? FUCK NO. I'm cross posting this review, because more people definitely need to hear our experience as two single women in their early 20's. read more

First the good: the place seems to attract regulars, so it has a bit of a 'Cheers' vibe where people have a place to belong. They also advertise nightly events, so they're at least providing things to do for anyone interested. That said, the beer and the selection is just okay. The food is barely above terrible. I won't even go into much detail other than there's virtually no seasoning, everything is plain and even given the low price, you still have regret paying for it when you're done. Kudos to them for giving options for things to do in a town that doesn't have much in that regard, but there's really not much else you can say good about it. read more

Owners are rude, horrible to their staff, the place is run down, food is atrocious (bland, soggy, sometimes inedible) and, as if that weren't enough to keep you away, the establishment posted the below comment (see photo). Good to know they think that endangering people's lives inside their restaurant is more important that the people out there fighting for equal rights. They are still operating on UberEats as well as selling other food products through their Facebook account so they are doing the same as every other local business if not better since they are taking cash and E-transfers for the products they are selling (tax free earnings if they do not claim it). Again, wish there were zeros or even negative ratings. read more

Behold, the only bar in the Heart Lake region that doesn't suck! Ok, maybe that's an unfair statement, as I haven't been to every bar, but Keltic Rock is certainly the best one I've been to. Located at Heart Lake Town Center, you might remember ol' Keltic Rock from the media not too long ago, as a motorist accidentally drove through the wall/window of the place. I guess the confused motorist thought it was a DRIVE THROUGH WINDOW (*rimshot*) One thing I really like about this place is that it's consistently clean. They really seem to take pride in the pub's appearance, and it shows. Another great thing is that it's very spacious. There are different sections for whatever you're into that night: The jukebox/golf arcade area, the dart-boards, the bar, a separate row of stools and a long table, booths, pool-table area, and a wide open area with many small tables. They always have a game on when I'm there, and there are a few big screens located in different parts of the place. I have yet to order anything from their food menu, but it's more than just your regular pub food. They feature an all-day breakfast (done Irish, American, and Canadian style), some Irish-centric delights (shepherd's pie, steak & kidney pie, Keltic chicken curry, etc), among many other things. They also feature weekly events: Darts night (Mon it's free and they have 2 import pints for $10. Tues is for the league play), Wednesday is Texas Hold Em, and Thursday is 2 for 1 wings. The weekend is a whole different beast. Friday nights are devoted to the live bands, and Saturday is their karaoke night. I'd also like to add that the gentleman who runs the karaoke, Joe, is an awesome dude with a very impressive collection of kickass karaoke tunes in his book. He used to do the karaoke at the now-extinct The Place, and it rocked. I love karaoke, but I just don't like how packed it gets here on the Saturday night. It's not chaotic-packed, but I like a more relaxed atmosphere, and with karaoke, I like not having to wait an hour for my turn to sing. HOWEVER, KR seemed to have rectified that issue, and now offers karaoke on Sunday nights as well, which I have yet to attend. As for the service, I've never had an issue with any of the servers or bartenders in this place. In fact, they've all been very personable and efficient. I really have nothing bad to say about this place. In terms of bars around here, it's a rare shiny needle in the B-town haystack of fail. read more

I've gone here often for years but after last night's St.Patrick's Day celebrations, I've realized they deserve a review! This is a no frills pub with a pretty good beer selection and friendly staff who seem to stick around for a while (a rarity in this industry, for sure). It is not uncommon for bars like this that are a bit "dive-y" to have staff with a cold, hard, exterior due to dealing with drunks all the time but they somehow manage to stay cool, which I admire. Hell, yesterday I saw one girl kind of slap the bouncer and he remained perfectly cool. After denying two stumbling drunk guys entry who got angry at him and left, he made sure to call out to them as they left since they had dropped a $20 bill on the floor. Like, you can't make that up. Karaoke night on Fridays is awesome, they have Live Bands on Saturday (which I personally dislike, but the bar always seems pretty full), and a cool laid back atmosphere during Leaf games. This bar is popular and successful enough that they don't really need my review but hey, they get it anyways. read more

Was out with a group of friends for their Saturday Karaoke night! As far as the bar goes, it's pretty standard, for a country rock feel, nothing fancy. There was ample seating, as long as you got their before they filled to capacity and the staff was extremely friendly and attentive. The atmosphere caters to all ages from your college buddies to the more "experienced" players. The bar counter was always packed but you didn't have to wait long to get served. Great beer selection, nice and cold! Mmmmm... Now onto the karaoke! It's on every Saturday from 10pm - 2am. I'm a bit of a Karaoke Queen/Nerd if you will, and know a good place and selection of songs when I see it. The selection of songs was beyond my wildest dreams and the sound quality was pretty standard. The host knew what he was doing with flow of singers and no glitches in his equipment. The stage was on the small side but it left room for a dance floor for people to tear up and bust a move to our "professional" talents. I haven't had this great a karaoke/bar experience in a while and this made me happy! I l left with my group to continue our drunken debaucheries singing and playing the acoustic guitar waiting for a taxi driver to serenade. Definitely going back again.! read more

I was in keltic on Saturday as well as previous review. They were very busy and staff did an amazing job. I have been there a few times lately and had an amazing time. I use to be a waitress/bartender so I know what' it's like to be running your feet off and trying to remember everything and everybody! They do there best! This bar is amazing and service is always great as is the food! Karen was our server and I was very happy with her service ! She is great even when bar is packed! Way to go Karen ! I highly recommend this bar in Brampton! It's a blast and everyone is so friendly! It's like a cheers bar! Hopefully everyone still remembers cheers lol read more

I have been going to Keltic Rock for years and have always enjoyed the place. John specifically has always been amazing to me and my friends! Unfortunately the new owner has made a horrible impression. On more then one occasion, I have witnessed or heard him yelling at staff. And not just yelling - swearing and belittling and being abusive. Sadly, this has happened too many times and I will be taking my business else where from now on. I send my best to the staff that have to deal with what in my opinion, was a grown man throwing temper tantrums rivaling that of a 12 year prepubescent girl. read more

So we went out to this bar for my friends birthday this weekend. It was pretty rad I liked it. There was karaoke going on which was awesome we all love karaoke, getting drunk and singing is great ahaha. The only thing that I didn't like was how many college looking students were there. But all in all a good time. I got their platter and it was delicious, I've never had a platter so good, it had a little of everything. They're chicken fingers are to die for I believe! They have a good sized patio where people can go and drink and smoke which is great. My friends are all smokers and I like how we didn't have to go and hang out at the front of the bar to smoke.. The customer service is great, I mean it's a bar sometimes you can get overlooked but for the most part I had been served quickly. The foods prepared quick though. The prices for their beers are pretty reasonable as well. The place was clean and the regulars were very friendly, I would definitely go back there hands down garanteed!!! read more

Friend and I went here to get a late night beer. Place is run down, filthy, smells like urine. Was told by customers not to trust draught and just buy bottles. Complete low life customers selling drugs, bragging about being high on cocaine and others trying to provoke fights. I'm an honest person. I will never step foot here again. read more

Visiting from Vancouver and wanted a close place to drink on a Thursday night. Found this place and decided to try it out. Waitress was super friendly and prompt with drinks. Bar was clean and so was washroom, and our waitress always kept drinks in our hands. Will be back here next time I visit Brampton. Five stars! read more

Only one star cuz I can't give zero. Absolutely horrible service. We ordered fries with our wings and they did not come. We reminded our server after we finished our wings and she said she would get them. Still no fries. The server paid no attention to us at all. Just awful. Too bad as the wings were pretty good and the beer selection is great. This place needs to get their act together. If this is the normal level of service I have no idea how they stay in business. As I write this we have had a credit card sitting on our bill for almost 15 minutes and we are still waiting for the server to pick it up. It's not busy at all. Not sure what the heck she is doing. Unless you have a whole afternoon to kill and you are not very hungry or thirsty I would avoid this place. read more

Great Irish pub with friendly atmosphere and patrons. I have visited on many occasions in the last 10 years and have always had a good time. Staff service is good and their pub food and beer are excellent. They have live bands or DJs on Fridays and karaoke on saturdays. Recommend the rugby basket and medium honey sauce wings. Went in for a celebration for our one year anniversary. We had fun, the atmosphere was good. The clientele very nice. The owner was very nice. The food was well presented and we enjoyed our favorite bar treat of french fries and blue cheese dressing. Their white on tap beer was cold and delicious. The entire evening was a success.
