My six years old daughter has had piano lessons with Kemsing Tuition. On the plus side their lesson booking system seems to work very well. Also Richard is a very good piano player. However unfortunately I wouldn't recommend them for piano lessons for young children. Every week Richard marked the tunes to practice for the week (all from the same series of books - Music for Little Mozarts), we practiced at home all week, in each lesson he then listened and marked the tunes for the following week. There wasn't much hands on teaching of theory, exercises for sight reading, rhythm etc., or determining my daughter's gaps and working towards improving them. In the meantime we've found a different teacher with a very different approach and my daughter's progress is amazing compared to the time spent at Kemsing Tuition.
To add to that they've made me pay nearly 100 pounds for two 20 minute lessons as I've cancelled mid way through the package (this resulted in a 33.25 pounds cancellation fee even though notice was given). read more
