I've had a rough life in the past couple years, and the insurance premium kept going up for all the traffic tickets and accident I had. Christopher has been the agent who handles my insurance policy, and I have to say he's really patient. Had to admit that I was really rude to him. Especially I cursed a lot because the insurance premium went through the roof, and I really had a hard time to afford it. In the past three years, every time I called to argue about the premium, he always tried to offer me different plans with different coverage levels. He even explained in detail what's the difference between each plans, like how much I might need to pay out of the pocket with low coverage, how much I am wasting on insurance premium with low deductible, or what situation I might get into with higher deductible. Seriously, I've never met an insurance agent that would do that for customers. Most of them just want your money. I still remember the accident I had back in 2014 after I removed the full coverage. The insurance company told me that they not gonna pay to fix my car, and I was extremely pissed. Every time this agent office called me, I just hung up. Christopher called me almost every other day and tried to help with it although the accident was my one fault, and there was not much he could do. She told me to run upstairs to get quotes from them also and then decide from there whether I wanted to buy from them or upstairs. I went upstairs, got quotes but still went back to State Farm. I like that she didn't pressure me into buying from her right away and told me to get quotes from another agent and go with whatever I felt was right for my family and I. Today, my wife and I had our worst customer service day at the Alhambra AAA Office. We were there…read moreto pay our DMV fees. It was about 11:15 am. First, the greeter clerk asked us, "what are you here for." The inquiry was snarled at us with a scowl. Not a "good morning." Not a "how can I help you." After that indignation, we were directed form a line to pay our fees. Secondly, there were no personnel staffing this function. There was a gentleman, and a young lady ahead of us in line. We waited 5 minutes until a girl showed up, but to only clean her station and check the cash box. She wore blue latex gloves. She took 5 minutes to complete a very thorough cleaning. But there was no interaction from her with waiting customers, as the line got longer. No mention of "sorry for the delay." No saying: "we'll get to as soon as we can." Nothing. As if we were office fixtures. She left after she finished. Thirdly, there were AAA personnel walking about, and they should have seen the customers not being attended. Same interaction from them as from the girl. No customer services were offered to us until 15 minutes we arrived there. A woman finally stepped-up to help the growing customer line. Even then, she should have offered my wife a chair. There was one available in her cubicle. I took it upon myself to offer it to her. As I was leaving, I observed the girl attending to a customer. I hope she enjoyed her scrupulously clean workstation. Let me remind AAA of the following factors: * This is a big world. * DMV now offers on-line car registration renewals, unless you need a smog check, without enduring the indignity of bad customer service. * One can now make their own travel reservations online. Why hassle with you guys? * There are other travel agencies. Competitors. Ever heard of them? * There are other insurance companies that probably offer better pricing and terms for their products. * There are other towing companies. Perhaps better. AAA is not the center of the universe. You work for us, not the other way around. Whether one is a 38 year or 3-day member, we are all entitled to a modicum of dignity, respect, and some semblance of customer service. You guys need to do better. Thank you for your attention to this matter.
