During my ultrasound in October, the computer was left on and open when the technician left the room where I could see the other patients' information, so that's a HIPAA violation right there. 2. The consent process on January 21st was not thorough and was rushed. I work in clinical research so I know exactly how it should be done. The consent form was very briefly explained to me and then I was asked for my signatures without even seeing the actual document. I had to ask to read the full consent form for myself. The staff member who consented me acted and confused and like I was taking up her time. Once I fully read through the consent and signed, I asked for a copy of the completed document to be sent to me, which was never done, until I had to ask for it again. 3. I was supposed to receive my second treatment on February 24, but I was suddenly told by MCV that my insurance required a redo of the ultrasound before we could proceed. I trusted their word and expertise and came in to do the second ultrasound. I really started seeing red flags when I got a call on March 20th, again only a couple days before my rescheduled procedure, saying that they were still waiting on approval for my insurance and would have to reschedule it a second time. I talked with several people through my insurance, who read thoroughly through the policy. I also spoke with a nurse representative through my insurance to confirm that they never requested a second ultrasound. Still on March 20th, I get a second call from a different person in Metro Vein Center saying to disregard their first call without any explanation. I'm finally able to get ahold of a patient care representative who has no idea what is going on and keeps saying that they thought my insurance changed when it's literally been the same for the past four years. I call again and talk to a different person who is unable to get in touch with the Macomb location because it actually closed at 2 PM when the first lady said it closed at 3 PM and the website says it closed at 6 PM. 4. Why do I get the feeling that I am being lied to, and they are avoiding my questions and concerns? Do they have an issue with my insurance and are taking it out on me? Regardless of what is going on, something definitely feels fishy, and I deserve an explanation from a single person rather than talking to somebody different each time I call. I'm exhausted, in pain, and tired of getting the runaround, and no I am not going to email patientexperience@metroveincenters.com. I expect a call. You guys have access to my contact information which hopefully did not get leaked or anything like that, but at this point, my trust and patience are running very thin. Now it seems like they can't get their story straight. After my first treatment, I went back to get an ultrasound to make sure the veins were closed properly. Then the manager at the Macomb location said this was actually done due to "patient concern"?? (this is not true) Then she reverted her previous statement and said what I originally thought which was confirming the procedure closed the vein. I have been asking the same questions several times and have yet to get a direct answer. The team at the Macomb office says I will hear from the authorization department, but I haven't heard anything from anyone despite trying to follow up with her multiple times. I get the feeling that they are more concerned with money and scheduling appointments than the actual patients' concerns, and well-being...

During my research, I found his rates are in line and actually a bit lower than other physicians in the area, but this is not the deciding factor in choosing Accents. I viewed numerous before and after photos of procedures done by Doctor Berkowitz and knew he was the doctor for me. All of my procedures were done by Doctor Berkowitz personally. During visits, staff are in attendance but Doctor Berkowitz does all the work. I can't count all of the compliments I continue to receive. The morning after the surgery, I noticed that all of the symptoms I had on my left side of my body were gone. Dr. Sidhu performed the surgery at HF Macomb on 19 mile. The staff that was there was wonderful. Had an attendant named Dre take care of me while I was there (the ice had to be constantly changed in the back cooler). Anyone afraid of having the surgery, know that Dr. Sidhu and staff did an amazing job. I can walk 5 miles without any issues. I am noticing that with my back fixed, my gate has changed. My biggest suggestion pre-op. Focus on developing your core muscles, go for walks (if you can) and do multiple sets of squats a day. Your core and leg strength is huge in recovery.

My appointment was at 8:45 am and I arrived at 8:30 and was assisted at the reception desk immediately. Within about 5 minutes I was taken back for questions and then an X/ray. I was then moved to a room for the doctor and he came in pretty quickly. All of the staff were nice and friendly and I was walking out of the office by 8:57!! So my experience was nothing like the negative reviews of other people so maybe things have changed at this office. I would definitely recommend Dr Sidhu as a compassionate and qualified professional.

She sought out a new practice and that's how we landed here. I was impressed with the large waiting room and the selection of diabetic shoes on display. There's plenty of seating with a TV mounted on the wall and enough magazines for everyone. Although in today's world, it seems like most people are always being entertained on their cell phones. The check in process on the tablet took quite a bit of time to complete and I'm used to filling in the information for her at other physician's offices. I guess that's a good thing though, because they're very thorough with the health questions. Her appointment was with Dr. Rogers. I had the opportunity to meet him in the exam room while I assisted my mom with explaining her ongoing problems and helping her decide on the best treatment option. He was very patient and kind and explained each option so she fully understood. He performed the procedure and she was good to go. She's now recovering and isn't in pain anymore. She's very happy she made the switch and wishes she had made the decision to seek out a new practice months ago. There are 6 podiatrists that practice here so that's a plus that she liked. They also have locations in Shelby Township, Rochester, Chesterfield, Clinton Township, East China Township and Fort Gratiot. That's another plus for their patients.
