The Kapitolyo branch is small; the Quezon City branch is smaller. Much smaller. Although it holds two floors, the top floor is enough to hold maybe only four tables, good for four people. If you wish, you can opt to eat outside, but good luck with the Manila noontime heat. There have been several unfortunate times when we've had to wait 45 minutes for a table. But more than anything, this is a testament to how good the food is.
I've always enjoyed Rub's ribs. Being primarily a carnivore, I have a special appreciation for meat. But Rub does their ribs beautifully - the meat falls off the bone, and you get a nice rack for approximately P300. And you can choose from a variety of sides, but I find that the ribs go perfectly with sides of Roasted Garlic Mashed Potato, and Garlic Spinach and Mushroom.
Although Rub is small, it packs big flavor... and big servings! It's a great place to bring your family for your older brother's birthday, or your Happy Eaters Club.
