    The wait time even after making a reservation was over 25 minutes, which was not what you expect. There were many folks in the small waiting area near the bar. Service was prompt once we were seated. Drinks and bread were served along with appetizers. The drinks were just ok for the price. My steak was well done when I had asked for medium rare. The steak was replaced but the temperature was still not right. Definitely disappointing. Pricing : High and I dint find value for the money spent. Expectations were really high from Kenny's but they dint live up to their usual hype.

    Mary was our server and she was very happy and helpful. Went in today to get a quick bite. We both ordered the same wood grilled salmon with asparagus, regular Mac & cheese & Brussel sprouts. To be honest all of the sides were very mid, and bland It was also all warm except for the salmon the temperature was acceptable and had a nice taste.

    Kenny's Wood Fired Grill is a North Dallas staple known for great service and good eats. It's been 9 years since my last review to it's time for an update. My Overall Rating - 3 1/2 Stars (Atmosphere, Service, Food, Return) Atmosphere - Kenny's has an epic bar and is always packed with people with good vibes. The dining area isn't too big, but they make the most of the space. It's also dark inside, this is this ia really good spot for date night. 1 Star. Service - All Kenny's are known for great service, and Kenny's Wood Fire Grill is no different. Even though we had a large party, our server was able to handle all requests with a smile and good energy. I've never had bad service at any Kenny's. 1 Star. Food - While it's been 9 years since my last review, the menu hasn't changed. Why when it works so well? For this visit, I went with the Ribeye with butter and demi glace (normally on the NY Strip). It was cooked perfectly, and the butter kept the steak moist. Next time I'll go without the demi glace, as it added some saltiness that isn't needed. For the side, I went with the Adult Mac & Cheese. I remembered this from my last visit, and it was just as good. The cheese sauce was so creamy and the smoked gouda and ham gave it nice depth. If they offered this as a full meal I would order it. All in all, the meal was quality, and the value is good in today's economy. 1 Star. Will I Return? - Probably in another 9 years. While Kenny's is good, it's not great and nothing about it screams new. It plays it safe, which is fine because it's been doing an awesome job for the last decade. I would never choose Kenny as a place to eat, but I will happily join others knowing my experience will be great. 1/2 Star.

    Have always loved Kenny's Wood Fire Grill. Our server Kevin was awesome!! The crab cake was delicious as always. We ordered a variety of dishes. The burger was good and steaks were flavorful. The Seabass was amazing!! We loved our salads, as well. One of the steaks came out cold with cold butter on top. The grilled oysters were tasty but very overcooked. I couldn't eat half of them because they were burned into the cheese. Honestly not our best experience at Kenny's.

    Kenny's is always a reliable experience! This was no exception. I recommend reservations regardless of the time. We had reservations at 4:30 for a large group and weren't seated until 5. My husband and I started out with a glass of Pinot Noir for me and Cab for him. Our companions had various cocktails. Partway through they brought them new chilled glasses. Very thoughtful! Next came our rolls. These rolls are so good and a signature item. Very soft on the inside. You have to be careful not to fill up on bread! I decided to try something different instead of the regular steak. I had the chicken and it was so good. It was cooked perfectly, and almost tasted like a steak! All the flavors blended together to create a great profile. For a side dish, I chose the potato cakes and they were tasty. My husband had the steak sandwich and fries. I stole a bite and it was great as well. This is a perfect date night experience!

    Ending 2025 with my 2025th Review. How cool are numbers, right? Some of the best places are found in a strip mall and are completely hidden unless you know... and apparently, a lot of people know as it was pretty crowded on a weekday. They have a ton of appetizers to choose from from and if you can't decide, you can actually split appetizers which is awesome. The tenderloin crostini was one I'd order again and again. The woodgrilled oysters were delicious too. I opted for the half-pound crab cake appetizer as my meal and oh my god it was so good. Thanks to Amelia for the recommendation on this thing. She knows what's up at this place. And the old fashioned was a good one as well. Nice pairing if you ask me. Let's not forget about the bread!!! They bring out this ramekin that looks like one of those gun-powder snakes went nuts in the oven and grew into a crusty, steamy start to the meal. It was so fresh and delicious and even though it didn't need butter, it needed butter!!! America!!! This was within walking distance of my hotel and it did not disappoint at all! Thanks so much to fellow elite Vivien H. for the recommendation on this dark, dungeonous, delicious restaurant (My Triple D). I'd return for sure if I was back in the area. I wonder if they'd bring me one of each appetizer...

    A quick getaway trip and this was our first stop. The hostess has a warm greeting and seated us immediately since we arrived at opening. Our server was helpful with the menu options. The crab cake as an appetizer was indeed the highlight of the meal. The different sauces were amazing. The crab cake will fill in crab meat about fillers. My day got the short rib sandwich and it was nice and tender. The ribs weee okay. Too much sauce and the flavor was average. The restaurant was dark with heavy tinted windows but a nice vibe inside. I would return.

    This place is such a gem. We used to live in Dallas, and we moved away. This was one of our favorite spots. The ambiance is amazing. The lighting. The staff. Everything. It gets packed! If you don't get in early, you will be waiting. The bar is full of regulars and the staff is always top notch. Although we normally try to eat at the bar, this time we sat in the dining area. My only complaint is that they pack you in like sardines! We had the famous crab cake. It is THE BEST I have ever had. And I have had them all over the country, The popover bread is so unique and so good. They brought one for each of us. I think one for the table would have been enough. We also got the wedge, the ahi, the steak sandwich and the rockfish. The rockfish was covered in rich sauce. If that's all you're eating, the it's great. But it was too much after the apps. This place is a must go. Love it! So glad to see it doing well!

    Wow! We were impressed! Minus one point for the smell of old carpet.. Devin provided wonderful service. The tenderloin crustini was delicious! The portions were impressive! The Lemonade martini packed a punch and the Yorkshire bread was a fun touch.

    Here in a very crowded and busy restaurant with a very large party of experienced Yelpers (12+ for a UYE). Folks that know perfect service, great food, and decors that impress! A variety of taste budded tongues, a diverse group with diverse likes and dislikes. Many with a lot of world wide travel experience. I mention all of that as all were impressed at the end! We had a single server who was a magician. A couple of items didn't meet expectations and this server did his magic and all were a happy group as we left! Drinks were impressive! I had a 16 oz Ribeye that was 7 star worthy! Price was reasonable for the service and food quality.

    Eating dinner here was something out of a fever dream. When we first arrived for our reservation the place was absolutely packed and we had to wait around 20 minutes to be seated. We witnessed someone slip a $100 bill in order to be seated before anyone else, and while we did get seated before him, the fact that any of this happened was a bit absurd. The interior is nice so the wait wasn't awful, but we're talking more about the principle of it than anything. When we were finally seated it was at a high top table away from the main dining area, far from what we expected, especially for a birthday dinner. What came next was probably the most absurd service we've seen in a while. Our service was erratic. We had our waitress running around openly complaining about how frazzled she was and how busy they were. Again, not an issue had it not happened maybe 10 times. We had what must've been the manager running bread, drinks, etc to us and then have our waitress show up 5 minutes later with the exact same things and then say "what a night". Thank God the manager was on his A game constantly refilling drinks and running things out. The service just felt disjointed and bizarre. The waitress also made a rude comment when once of us wanted plain mac and cheese saying it was what they get for kids. On top of that the food itself was not good. The bread was the best part of the meal. It was fluffy and crunchy butter just melting into it, we could've eaten ten more of it. We all ordered the same steak, a medium ribeye. The steaks were inconsistent, some coming in medium well, others at medium rare to medium. These weren't any different than steaks you could get at Texas Roadhouse. The mushrooms they came with also had this very chewy, rubberlike texture. By the end of our meal we were pretty dissatisfied. The best part of our meal was the manager who was working hard to get our area covered and making sure we were well taken care of. You could tell he was trying hard and cared about the direction things were going. Ultimately, the nail in the coffin was the free birthday dessert being a stale chocolate cupcake. We're sure there's better days here and maybe your experience will be different, but they turned what was supposed to be a fun birthday dinner into an anxiety riddled dinner that left us with a sour taste.

    I finally had a chance to get to try this Kenny's. I've had their Italian and burger brands but not this one. It lived up to the hype! I thorough enjoyed everything I had. From the bread, the mains and cocktails it was a very delightful meal. To top it all off, the service was efficient and on point. Even my friend's steak that wasn't cooked to his liking was replaced right away, no question asked. Ambiance is very lively on top of the great company. This dinner UYE is one of the best we've had so far.

    Beef short rib. I don't normally order short rib because I usually think it is too strong and fatty. This was amazing! Excellent!

    Wow, that was a great meal! I got the short rib dinner. My friend got the rib eye. Both were excellent! Or waitress, Maria was did a perfect job. Our sides were great too. I'm originally from Maryland and I'm very particular when it comes to crab cakes, but Maria insisted it was legit. Well it was more than legit, it was fantastic! All lump backfin crab. This place makes my want to move to Dallas.

    I would say no by most standards. They are however very accommodating so may be willing to try. To be clear the bar is as big as the dining area.

The first five of us ordered drinks while we waited, and the remaining couples joined shortly after and did the same. Our waiter was fantastic. For entrées, there were some real highlights. The halibut special and the sea bass special were both exceptional. The Lefty's pasta is enormous and packed with flavor, another favorite amongst us. The chicken parmesan was solid for those not in the mood for seafood, though I'll admit I expected a bit more boldness in the sauce and a little more sauce overall would have helped elevate the dish. We didn't take many photos because we were focused on enjoying the company and celebrating the occasion. Everything felt celebratory and enjoyable until the very end. After we had paid our checks, a few of us were finishing the last of our wine and drinks. Within moments of closing out, the owner approached our table and abruptly told us he had a party of ten waiting and that we needed to hurry up. Had he given us five more minutes, we would have naturally wrapped up and left on our own, completely happy with the experience. He could have approached us with kindness and this result would have been so different. Instead, that interaction left us feeling rushed and unwelcome. We spent a significant amount of money and were not lingering excessively, so it was disappointing to have the evening end that way. With a little more grace at the finish, this would have been a five-star evening.
