Outstanding experience! I broke down on Hwy 33 near Wind Gap and called AAA. They suggested towing to a dealer, but while waiting, I did a web search and found Ken's. I called and the young lady I spoke with said they could look at it and try to help right away. I had the car towed to Ken's, and it was lunch time. The young lady suggested a little sandwich shop a short walk down the road, and it was excellent. When I got back to Ken's, the guys were back from lunch and had my car in the bay. I sat down in their very comfy lounge, and the diagnosis and information needed to make a decision were clearly communicated to me within a few minutes. I gave them a go-ahead, and they started to work while waiting for a replacement part. They had me on my way by 3:30, and I was quite happy with the price for the considerable work they did. Integrity and fair dealing is a rare gift among businesses, and when you experience it, it deserves an over-the-top review. The situation: I made an appointment for my fiancee's truck to be serviced. She only has one vehicle and many commitments, so it needed to be a one day job. I had admittedly unreasonable expectations regarding how much time it would take, and Ken's had trouble getting a part on time, so it didn't get done on my timeline. I talked to Ken and let him know my dissatisfaction. I miscommunicated; we talked past each other and I left thinking that I would not be back. Ken went back and investigated the details of the situation. He called me later that night and went far above and beyond to make the situation right. It goes without saying that his crew's work on the truck was professional and his prices are fair, but the point of this review is that Ken brings something to his business that goes beyond that. My friend a female had a accident on rt 512 N. just out side WindGap. Her vehicle could have limped home , but out of respect to others on the road trying to get home during the PM rush she had the regional police call for a tow. Little did she know she would be dealing with a rude and inconsiderate person like Ken and his employee, her vehicle must have to taken the scenic way home (apparently) to Roseto a trip of four miles at a cost of $72.50 per mile !!! you do the math. Her bill was (($290.00)) dollars. We are in the process of contacting Penn Dot. on the matter due to Kens refusal to release the vehicle in a timely manner after the bill was paid in full by cash. According to Kens the vehicle could only be dropped of at another repair shop due to it not being able to be driven until repairs where made. Sence when does Kens make the rules for Pen Dot vehicle inspections enforcement?? Who gives him the right to overcharge like he does, no thanks to the regional police.
