They have had many property managers leave / quit / demoted over the years…read more The buildings are dirty, overflowing waste containers outside several of their buildings and the cleaners spend all day chatting / gossiping instead of actually cleaning their buildings. Tenants who make noise / break rules do not ever get any punishment - they are allowed to do what they want; especially the ones who are on Welfare. Some tenants smoke weed INSIDE their apartments, without any penalty even after being reported to Thorwen many times. (specific apartments have been reported at 2 different properties - NOTHING was done to the tenants). It is an immediate "termination of lease" BUT.. if you are on welfare or get your rent paid by a subsidy - you can do whatever you want. The management will turn a blind eye. The people who work hard all day and try to rest are constantly disturbed by loud obnoxius tenants above them - nothing is done to resolve this issue - ever - laundry gets stolen out of the shared laundry rooms and nothing is ever done. It gets reported - and then nothing is done to follow up. Tenants can run wild, be noisy at all hours of the day and night (as they don't work - why do they care about others in their building?) smoke weed inside their apartment - knowing they can get away with it. Especially if they are on welfare. Guaranteed rent money from our government. So why let them leave? Let them ruin the peace of hard working people who actually have jobs and work all day every day. STAY AWAY FROM THIS HORRIBLE PLACE - things get worse NEVEER better - this has been reported for several of their properties - Downtown and in the South area have been the worse reported for lack of cleanliness and tenants not following rules.

I lived at one of Thorwin Properties' buildings for a little over a year. Honestly? It was fine…read more Not a "shout it from the rooftops" kind of experiance, but definitely better than some of the horror stories I've had with other property manegers. One thing I will give them credit for is being pet-friendly--which, let's be real, is a rare find in Winnipeg. That said, don't get too excited if your fur baby is on the fluffier side--they're a bit strict when it comes to weight limits. Apparently, a few extra pounds is a dealbreaker.

By far the worst company I have ever dealt with. Moved out of my condo in early December. In…read moreJanuary they tried to pull my condo fees from my account. I only would transfer money to the account each month to cover fees and mortgage. As they made the mistake to pull from my account (even though I wasn't living there anymore), I got a NSF charge in my account. Funny enough my bank did the same thing with my mortgage (I guess it was the holidays and everyone was slow to update things). My bank was very apologetic and reversed the charges ASAP. Rancho proceeds to blame the buyers lawyer and get in a back and forth deflecting blame. As the PAYING CUSTOMER, I know the only one not to blame is myself, however this lack of accountability is quite frankly embarrassing. They made a mistake and won't rectify it. It's not a large sum of money but its the principal. Its very disappointing and I would HIGHLY recommend never using this company or avoiding properties they manage. To cap off the story, they are now emailing me looking for me to pay them a NSF fee ....for their mistake in charging the wrong person! Its almost make belief, I feel like I'm being punked on a reality show. PS. My realtor had to call, email and physically drive to their office multiple times just to get simple documents for the sale of our place. Their customer service is awful.

we have been trying to view avaliable units at the twin lake location…read more We took four appointments to view avaliable units. We were stood up in three of them, no one showed, no one is on site, no one is even returning our calls, and after 30mins have gone through the appointment they reply back. 1st time was like .... sorry we got an application for the unit but i didn't have your phone number to call and cancel the appointment, although i called many times and emailed back and forth we. You could have emailed me!! The second time Pat called back after 30 mins saying that amanda got sick so she couldn't come over. I know that emergencies happen and i really hope she is better now, and i arranged an appointment the following day with Pat to see an available unit, we ended the phone call by me saying see you tomorrow at 9, she said yes. Today again after taking time off work to get there she wasn't there and not replying my calls until 20 mins of me waiting there, she said I told you i will call you back and I am not going to do some one else's Job plus I didn't get a covid clearance from the tenant and i just knew late yesterday from amanda that she has a submitted application for the unit so the unit is not avaliable now. What really upsets me is not the unavailability but the fact is that being treated like a nothing without any one even caring to cancel the appointments, even though they know that me and my wife need to take time off work to make the appointments. A small message would have appreciated to cancel the appointment. Are we not good enough to apply here or to be considered as customers? Why is it too hard? You are too busy at work to do that? Isn't meeting new customers work? Or maybe I am not good enough to be considered work?
