I wish there was a zero star option because after mine and my daughter's horrible experience today this place does not deserve the one star I am forced to give it!!!
I guess saying I am outraged is an understatement at how disrespectful and rude the lady working there is!!! Unbelievable how she can treat people the way she does and still stay in buisness!!!
Today was supposed to be a happy day and one that my daughter was looking so forward to because I had told her that beings we would already be in Louisville for her doctor's appt. at Norton's hospital that after she was finished with her treatment we would go wig shopping and find her a pretty wig to wear for prom.
My 17 year old daughter has been battling cancer this year and the end of last year which happens to be her senior year of high school and after extensive time off of school she has finally been able to return back to school and start enjoying what little bit of it that is left. Which one of them being senior prom this Saturday.
After months in the hospital, surgeries, chemotherapy and losing all her beautiful long hair she is finally starting to get her health and life back with some normalcy in it.
It was our first time ever going to Kentucky Wigs and trust me it will definitely be our last!!!!
When we first walked in the lady started following us around and wouldn't let us browse around ourselves. I told her about prom this Saturday and how we were looking for a long blonde wig similar to my daughter's hair before cancer. She kept pointing at ones that were not what we were looking for and sometimes not even blonde hair. I guess at first I thought she was trying to be helpful but she became overbearing and pushy.
After a few selections that my daughter decided to try on, the lady insisted that she would place them on my daughter's head herself, which was fine, until she tried to style them all weird looking on her head which looked awful. But we never said a word and just let her carry on and do her thing.
After trying on a couple and not finding the one she had invisioned herself in for prom or even coming close for that matters. We were going to go see if there was anything else in the store that might work that she could try on and that's when this crazy ass woman looked at my daughter and said.."can't nobody please you," "your not happy with nothing," "your too picking" "and you are at your 3 limit to try on".."thats all you get is 3"... I was like whaaatt???
I was completely floored at what she had just said and how she acted toward my poor daughter who was mortified and humiliated. I told her that she is not being picky that she hasn't felt pretty in a long time and just wants to look good for prom. Omg..what a bitch she was!!! I also told her that I had no idea that there was a 3 wig limit. I have never heard of that!!
So I told my daughter lets go this place is ridiculous. I was so angry at that lady for treating my baby like that..and ruining her special day over nothing?? Especially after all she has been through and endured, she sure as hell dont need to be disrespected and treated in that manner by some hateful, mean spirited woman that runs a wig shop.
I could not get out of there fast enough and she had the gall to stop me and say "you owe me a dollar for the cap I put on her head to try on these wigs"...
Really lady??? Are you frigging kidding me??? I paid her the dollar and walked out consoling my daughter and apologizing for what just happened and that she should have never talk to her that way. I knew what that day meant to my daughter and just like that..the lady ruin it.
After we left the store she didn't even want to go anywhere else and look for anymore wigs. But I convinced her to try the one across the street JJ wigs and what a completely refreshing atmosphere. They are kind and polite and eager to help with your needs and even let you try on as many wigs as you like. Imagine that!! So we bought two wigs that she really liked and left there feeling a lot better than we did when we left across the street. Thanks JJ Wigs read more
