We went to Keoki's Paradise while staying at the Sheraton Kauai Resort and it was super convenient. only about a 9 minute walk. The vibe was really fun. They had live music and just an overall lively atmosphere that made it feel like a true vacation dinner spot. Our server Colin was very attentive and friendly, especially on a busy weekend. My husband loved his meal, but I'm pregnant and honestly struggled a bit with the menu. There weren't a ton of options that felt right for me. I ended up getting a burger which was good, just not anything amazing. Overall we had a good experience and I'd still recommend it for the ambiance alone. Just wish there were a few more simple options.

It's a Dukes restaurant just named different, with similar and familiar decorations, which I'm not complaining about. Loving it. It's one of the reasons you choose a Dukes style restaurant. Huge portions, good food, and that tropics ambiance. It comes with a price tag though. They must employ many servers here, it's a large place and our server was nice. Did stop by to check in on us a few times (water refills was lacking though) and their mai tais was strong and tasty. Good kids menu too. Overall good solid, albeit expensive place but sure hit the spot and you can walk off those calories with the shopping complex it's next too.

Service was very good. The fish was well prepared but the portion size is ridiculous for the cost of $39. You are paying for the experience I guess. I keep saying I won't come back and I have been coming here for over 20 years. No more bread with dinner and now a merchandise store that charges crazy prices for items. Example $30 for 4 drink coasters. It's a very tropical environment, and very beautiful inside. However I can't recommend this due to poor portion size and cost.

Knew it would be a touristy type of restaurant, but what surprised us was the quality of food. Delicious! Prime rib with ausjus and creamy horseradish was the star. My brothers Ono Keokis style was sooo ONO! However, the Okinawan sweet potato mash that came with it was not complimentary and too sweet to pair with the delicious fish. Regular mashed potatoes or rice would've been better we think. What put the whole experience over the top, though, was our super attentive and friendly waitress Charlene. She was so sweet to our baby and made such a pleasant and comfortable experience for us all. The live music was a nice touch. Don't forget to order the Hula Pie for dessert. Seeeeriously yummy. We looked around and almost every table gets it, and now we know why.

Forgot the name of this fish but it was delicious

Had a dinner reservation for 4 a few days ago for dinner. It kinda gives Rain Forrest vibes with real plants. The food and drink selections were great. It seems like a busy place but when you walk in there's nothing to complain about.

I've been to Kauai three times, and each time I've had dinner at Keoki's Paradise! I love the vibes and tropical atmosphere. Service is great, drinks are excellent, and the food is consistently good. The live music is a nice touch. Drinks: Tropical Slushie (5/5) Coconut Mojito (5/5) Amazing. Food: Pineapple carrot muffins and sweet taro rolls (4/5) Kale salad (4/5) Fresh Fish Keoki's Style (4/5) love the sweet potato mash.

This place has great service and great ambiance. The whole restaurant has such a nice vibe to it. We marked on our reservation that it was our anniversary and they wrote us a cute card and gave us a free dessert which was amazing (hula pie). We got the seafood risotto and the guava bbq chicken both of which were good. Chicken was a huge portion, basically an entire half of the chicken and the bbq sauce and kimchi veggies were great. We saw people get the pork ribs and those looked great too so if we came back we'd definitely want to try those.

What a great experience for our anniversary celebration! Well started off with cocktails and coconut shrimp. Try the Lychee martini or the Mule. For dinner we had the Duo Fish dish and the Mac crushed and crusted fish with rice. For an anniversary dessert we had the Hula pie. Do not leave here without trying this absolute excellent dessert. We were seated in area opposite the bar and still able to hear the live music while enjoying the indoor/outdoor dining. The entire experience was fantastic because of our server Kaelyn. She was so kind, a lot of fun and great to be around!

Keoki's is a lovely restaurant. Theater is very inviting. The only problem is that we needed to walk up a few stairs and down more stairs to get to the table. Luckily, we had an inside table when it started raining. The server was very helpful while making g our choice for dinner. We split a Caesar salad.m to start. At most places in which we ate, the Caesar salad was big enough to share. This was a bit small. I had the seafood risotto. It was very good but it was more risotto than protein. My husband had the Chef's Fresh Fish Duo. The fish that night was Ono and Marlin. He did enjoy that. As a special treat for my birthday, the waitress brought me a large slice of Hula pie. It was very good. We enjoyed the restaurant and would return the next time we are in Poipu.

We have been to Keoki's several times now. Each time with a large group. Staff were very attentive to our group and served us well. Our food was delicious and well sized (not too big). This restaurant is huge and they manage their clients well! It's an open air restaurant, which is really nice. We have been there when it was raining - no worries. Still very comfortable! If you haven't been, check them out! You won't be disappointed!

Beautiful scenery within the restaurant! Seated shortly after arrival but stuck with a waitress who also has a large party. It went downhill from there. Our cocktails were average, not very memorable. My Seafood risotto was probably the highlight with Lobster, shrimp, fish, and shiitake mushrooms but my daughter's teriyaki grilled chicken was dry. Wish I could have said something better about the experience.

Above all, this is a tourist spot with halfway decent food at prices that would scare you off if you weren't on vacation; paired with amazing service and some of the nicest servers. Inside screams "I'm on vacation on a tropical island" with the decor, the server uniforms, and the overall vibe. Nothing wrong with that. But definitely something to consider if you're looking for some food in the area. Food is decent. The Prime rib is cooked proper. The sides were just OK. The Maui onion soup was good, nothing spectacular. The pie was the best part of the meal for me. Overall, its going to be a hefty bill, and I wouldn't deter you from trying. But I wouldn't want to come back here the next time I'm in the area.

Great experience for a first meal in Hawaii! Was excited to try the Maui onion soup and it did not disappoint. The Caesar was classic. But the mushroom and cheese ravioli were fabulous! Not too heavy and I loved the macadamia nut topping. Beautiful view for a classic restaurant.

Keoki's Paradise Reviews in Other Languages

Ask the Community - Keoki's Paradise

    Is there a keiki menu?

    Yes :-)

    Are RSVP required?

Yes, RSVP is required. Otherwise you’ll probably end up waiting for a table for a long time.

Do you have a happy hour? If so what days and hours?

Yes, specialty booze drinks and small plates offered mid-afternoon.

I'm in Seattle but my son is heading there in a week. Is there a way I can get him a gift certificate?

Yes! eGift cards are available at: https://tsrestaurants.securetree.com/Keoki-s-Paradise/Keoki-s-Paradise-eGift-Card/

Do you have to have a reservation?

No but you may be waiting a hour or two, so reservations are highly recomended, if you make them days in advance.

Can you hear the live music from the dining room or only from the Bamboo bar?

You can hear music throughout the restaurant

Is there still live music if it rains?

There may still be music because there are covered areas to accommodate the musicians even with rain.

Is happy hour only in the bar area?

When we were there in May we sat in the outdoor dining area and were able to have happy hour prices

I have a reservation for the dining room on a Monday at 6:30pm but I'd rather sit in the Bamboo Bar, I think. Does anyone know the average wait for the Bamboo Bar?

I think bar area is basically first come, first serve. I went there twice during happy hour (between 4-6ish) and was immediately seated in bamboo bar area.

Anyone try the twin lobster tail entre?

No but the ravioli was very good and the nachos (with pig) was very hefty. I'm sure the lobster is good.

She is, without question, the best bartender on Kauai. Her cocktails are exceptional and, more importantly, remarkably consistent. That level of consistency is rare and speaks to the pride she takes in her work. Beyond making amazing drinks, Mandy has a genuine warmth and aloha spirit that makes every guest feel welcome. Tidepools is absolutely a must-visit! Whether it is for the experience of dining on the water, upscale foods, or kind service, you have to splurge for at least one night on vacation! We had been to Tidepools together a few years ago, pre-kiddo, but this recent time was memorable thanks to the kind wait-staff. They had crayons for our little one, allowed us to walk around and view the fish nearby, and supplied us with delicious and fresh ube rolls, which our toddler loved (so much so that we had to take her actual kid's meal to-go). I ordered the Tai Chi, which is their version of the Mai Tai, and it was solid - great balance, and I almost ordered another one, but our little one was tired. To eat we got an appetizer of scallops, which was amazing - slightly sweet crust and juicy inside. My main dish was the ribeye, which was tender, cooked to my liking, and larger than I expected. Overall our best meal thus far during our Kauai trip, and if I had the income, would definitely eat here more than once per trip!

Request a table near the windows for a sunset view. We arrived and were greeted and seated immediately. Shortly afterwards we were served complementary spicy edamame. We ordered three appetizers to share. Brussel Sprouts & Cauliflower, Black Garlic & Yuzu Ahi Tartar and Vietnamese Style Sashimi. The Brussel Sprouts & Cauliflower was excellent, golden raisins and pine nuts add sweetness and texture, balsamic vinegar counters with wonderful acid contrast. The Black Garlic & Yuzu Ahi Tartar is simply fabulous, one of the best bites I have ever had. I first had this dish two years ago when it was introduced as a new dish in a prefix meal. On that trip we returned to enjoy the dish once again. Had it again last year as I travel to Kauai each year. I'm happy to see it is still on the menu! Our third dish was the Vietnamese Style Sashimi and it was okay, although a bit underwhelming for Eating House standards. After we placed our order for the steamed mussels the server informed us that it would be a mixture of mussels and clams. When the dish came out, it was all clams, no mussels at all. They were very good and the curry sauce they were steamed in was yummy, but it just wasn't what we initially ordered. I ordered the fresh catch fish, which was very disappointing. The fish itself was very fresh tasting, but it was overcooked to the point of being dry. It was also bland and seemed to be unseasoned. It sat on a bed of purple sweet potato with a fresh succotash mixture on the side. The vegetables must have been plated long before the fish was ready because the potatoes and vegetables were no longer even warm, which was an unpleasant combo with the overcooked, bland fish. There was a sauce on the side, but not nearly enough considering the dry slab of tasteless fish sitting on top of cold potatoes. Others at the table ordered the lamb chops and steaks. The lamb chops were delicious and those at our table with steaks seemed very happy with them. Our server forgot to bring the drinks to 2 of the 6 people in our party.
