Yes yes and all the yes to this spot! If you are in Orange and craving Hawaiian food this is the place to go. In reading the reviews I had high expectations and they did not disappoint, this was some of the best I've had in a long time. I love that they had pork belly as an option so I opted for a combo plate with pork belly and teriyaki chicken and added a musubi on the side. First of all, the presentation of the plate was beautiful and to me shows a level of care that makes the food special! The taste? Out of this world, the pork belly was so tender and made for a perfect bite, the teriyaki chicken has a good cook on it and that teriyaki sauce is a 10/10! Next time I am definitely asking for extras of that as it was also perfect for the pork and dipping the musubi. Their Mac salad is different from places like Ono and Aloha, it had less sweetness to it and seemed heavier on the pepper which I personally loved! The plate also came with a salad/slaw which served as a great fresh palate cleanse between bites. They also have a garlic furikake fried chicken that is so intriguing and next on my list! Put this spot on your list and you won't regret it!

TLDR: still one of my favorite Hawaiian places in town with good pricing and great food! It's been a couple of years since my last review, so I'm due for an update. Fortunately, the food is still great and I have no complaints. Seating is still a bit limited inside but they've added a couple of outdoor tables which really helped. I came in just before the lunch rush and had my pick. One thing my +1 and I really appreciate is their furikake chicken. It's just a little sweet with lots of savory and the plate is pretty filling. I've found just a little sriracha sauce compliments the flavor and adds a kick. I also like their pork belly, but the cut of meat itself is a bit fatty to eat by itself so I like to order half pork and half chicken. I also ordered a couple of spam musubi, which come individually wrapped and make for a great snack later, and two malasadas for dessert. We opted for a mango filled and an ube filled. Both were decadent and delicious, and they were also lightly dusted with powdered sugar. This spot is reasonably priced and quite filling, so we try to support it whenever we can. Mahalo!

First time here and I really enjoyed their food. I ordered their short rib and chicken plate with a side spam musubi. I didnt have a large order but I will say it did take nearly 30 mins for my order to be ready. I fell their portions are fair for the price you pay and they certainly are not lacking in flavor. I'll certainly be back soon!

I was craving kalbi and found Keoni not too far away. It's a small restaurant with limited seating. We came around late afternoon and it wasn't busy. the food was served pretty quickly and the food did not disappoint. They had a lot of different food options- plates, bowls, etc. When we're in the area, we will definitely be back(:

Delicious food, great service, nice ambiance choice of indoors or outdoors. Would recommend to anyone look for a good Hawaiian lunch plate.

Cute local place serving yummy Hawaiian style food -- ordered the chicken katsu plate and the chicken teriyaki plate with a side of spam musubi ... sooo good! The house slaw was amazing! Really great customer service and will definitely back when in the area.

I had high expectations coming in, especially since I'm a huge fan of Hawaiian food and have tried a lot of different spots. Unfortunately, this one really missed the mark for me. The food itself was honestly very mid. Nothing stood out, nothing memorable, just overall underwhelming in flavor. But the biggest disappointment by far was the portion size. For Hawaiian food, that's a huge deal. Every other Hawaiian spot I've been to is known for generous, filling portions. That's part of the experience. What really threw me off is how different it looks online versus in person. The photos on their page make the plates look full and satisfying, which is what drew me in. But when I actually got my combo, it was surprisingly small. It didn't match the expectation at all. I came in excited and left pretty disappointed. For the price and the type of cuisine, I was definitely expecting more in both quality and portion.

Neighborhood Hawaiian restaurant that offers excellent food and service. Parking can be packed during weekends, but drivers come in and out quickly. Food/Drink- 5 stars Everything was excellent. The Mac salad and coleslaw were prepared well. And all their proteins (the pork belly, beef, chickens) were tender and excellent. It's the definition of a cheat meal though, so expect a food coma. I would opt away from the malasadas though (it was a bit plain) Service- 5 stars Food came out quickly and they were decently attentive for being a fast-casual spot Bottom Line Great neighborhood spot that will cure your Hawaiian food craving

Ate from this establishment 1 year ago when I ordered catered food. Decided to come back and order to go for me and my husband on a Friday evening. There were no customers except for us. He ordered the combo chicken katsu and beef plate while I ordered the kids chicken katsu with fries. We also got 4 spam masubis. I remember this place being better. What we ate was decent. The spam in the spam masubi was sooo thin. I don't remember it being that way. I feel like food has gone down. I was disappointed.

I thought the flavor of the food was good. The chicken was a but oily and the sweet flavor was a but strong. I would have preferred something more subtle, but because the flavor was different from what I feel most Hawaiian restaurants have, I would come here again if I was ever craving it. The texture of the max salad is good--not too mushy. Inside was small but had seating. I went during typical dinner time, and most people seemed to be getting takeout, so the tables were never filled.

Nice little location. Staff was very friendly. I couldn't make up my mind so I got the katsu sandwich with rice and a side of pork belly. They also have a variety of Hawaiian beverages. They also offered and brought me a bowl of water for our puppy. It was so wonderful.

My GPS got us in the parking lot but I couldn't find the place. I had to call and ask them what are they next to? Totally drove past it and didn't see their sign. It is in a very crowded strip mall. There's about 3 strip malls next to each other. We got lucky and got parking right in front of Keoni. The place is very small. Only has seating for maybe a dozen people. The bench against the wall was extremely narrow. Not comfortable for fluffy behinds. I got my staple loco moco and spam musubi. The gravy was delicious. It could definitely stand on its own. Hamburger patty was good, seemed homemade and not a frozen patty. Eggs over easy were perfectly cooked. Spam musubi was bland. I don't season my rice but the rice in the spam musubi was super bland. I ended up putting the spam in my loco moco. Decor is very nice and pleasing. Even the bathroom was nicely decorated. Service was good. Cashier was very sweet and helpful. They do have a water jug to serve yourself. All utensils are plastic and self serve.

Stopped to check this place out before a concert at Honda Center. Located in a strip mall. Cashier greeted us and was very friendly. I'm a fan of Hawaiian food so I'm my friend and I thought we would check this place out. Indoor seating is limited. We arrived at a good time and seating wasn't an issue. The decor was island style. I ordered the teriyaki chicken plate which came with macaroni salad and a coleslaw I've never had coleslaw on a plate lunch before and I have to say that the coleslaw was tasty. The mac however, was a bit different than I am accustomed to so I can't say whether it was good or bad, just different. The teriyaki chicken was delicious and the teriyaki sauce was light and flavorful. I ordered an island Sun Tea canned drink. The passionfruit orange is my favorite. The Musubi be was OK. Price: $

The chicken katsu was solid, not as crispy as I would like but I did take it to go so that factors into that. The teriyaki chicken was outstanding, perfect flavor, a slight sweet char taste where it was flame kissed, I would order this again and again! Their Mac salad is different from what you get from an Aloha or Ono, not as sweet and didn't have the tang but even with that I enjoyed it and would eat it again. The only thing I would skip next time is the musubi. While it was okay in flavor the ratio of rice to spam was so far skewed it didn't seem worth it. Her tone was dripping with contempt, her attitude unapologetically hostile, and her behavior screamed ignorance wrapped in unearned entitlement. The Iloko Moco was easily one of the highlights. It comes with country fried steak, two sunny eggs, garlic rice, adobo gravy, green onions, and fried garlic. The flavor was great and everything blended together really well. I liked that the steak still had a good crunch even with the gravy, and the garlic rice was pronounced without being too overpowering. It's definitely more Filipino inspired than a traditional Hawaiian loco moco, but that's not a bad thing at all. The Ube Tres Leches French Toast was also really good. It was drenched in ube tres leches sauce and topped with fresh fruit, toasted coconut, and shaved almonds. The ube flavor was actually on point and noticeable, but the dish somehow still didn't feel too heavy. The French toast itself was soft and easy to eat. For drinks, the Thai Tea Cold Brew was solid. It had a little more Thai tea flavor than the ube drink and felt more full-bodied overall. The Ube Sweet Cream Cold Brew was fine, but it leaned much more cold brew than ube. The ube flavor was pretty light and kind of got swallowed up by the coffee once mixed together. Both drinks were okay, but I think the food stood out a lot more. The cafe itself is cute, but a little rough around the edges. It has that Anaheim feel where it's charming, but not as polished as something you might see in Irvine. The tables could have been wiped down a bit more, and there were some dents and dings on the walls. Service was fine at first and they checked on us early, but after the food came out, it was hard to get anyone's attention. We needed extra utensils and had a tough time waving someone down. Overall, I'd still come back for the Iloko Moco and Ube Tres Leches French Toast because those were both really good. #goodeats
