Unlike some of the paint-your-own-item shops I've been to in the past, this one is very adult friendly regarding the items available to paint. You can paint tea pots, cake stands, etc. I painted two egg cups and paid 149kr for the set. Everything is included in that price so you don't have to pay extra if you use a special paint or stencil, which is great because you can be really creative without worrying about racking up a huge bill. They sere coffee, tea and wine so if you're there painting for a while you can also get a bit tipsy if you're not careful ;) Keep in mind that when you're done panting your item they will keep it at the store to bake it in the oven so the paint will set and this will take one week. If you live in the area it's not a problem, but if you're just in town for a few days it's probably not the best activity since you won't get your item back. Overall, great experience! It's really nice to have a place to go with someone if you aren't interested in eating/drinking anything.

Instead of "just" sitting around and drinking coffee, you can actually get creative and work with your hands. Super relaxing, and at the end of the day, you feel a little sense of achievement (even though it takes a week until you can actually pick up your finished item). They have over 150 different base ceramics to choose from - starting from classic cups, plates, bowls, and vases in all shapes and sizes, to niftier items like soap dispensers, salt and pepper shakers, and little statues of horses or dinosaurs that would be fun for kids to paint. Prices start at 150kr and include glazing and burning the ceramics for you. You book seats for 2 hours, and after a brief introduction by the very friendly and helpful staff, you can get creative with brushes, sponges, stencils, and of course a variety of colors to choose from. They also serve coffee, hot chocolate, juices and water, so it feels more like a cozy, creative cafe rather than a workshop. I can't wait to pick up my awesome salad/ pasta bowl next week!

They produce and sell their own jewelry, clothes, accessories for your home, prints and so much more. I first visited it a year ago. They had these lovely earrings in the window that I just had to have. The guy in the shop was really nice, and when he couldn't answer my questions, he tried to call the girl that had designed the earrings. When she didn't answer, I got her phone number, so that I could send her a message. That's good service! I believe that the products they have here are really nice, and considering that they make it all themselves in quite small amounts, I think that the price range is good as well. The reason Designkollektivet dosen't get five starts is because there are many shops like this one in Copenhagen. Designkollektivet is good - but it dosen't stand out from all other shops. So to get the last star, I think they need to be a bit more innovative.

Anders (the guy behind Handcraftedcph) was so wonderful to work with. My husband and I ordered our…read morewedding bands from him and they came out better than we could have ever imagined. We've gotten so many compliments on our rings and their unique and well made designs. Anders was so easy to work with via Facebook messenger and it was so easy to find his shop on Sønder Boulevard. When my husband picked up our wedding bands I also had him get two pairs of small earrings and Anders gave us a small discount on everything :) I will absolutely be going back to him for more jewelry in the future. His store is perfectly situation in Vesterbro among cute coffee shops and boutique stores. A great little stop on the weekend if you want to check out some beautifully crafted Danish design and jewelry. He also collects antiques and vintage home items, which he also sells in his store. The store itself is pretty small there are some cute benches outside to sit and enjoy a coffee or put on the jewelry you just bought :) Bonus note: His instagram feed is beautiful and is a great way to see all of his jewelry online.
