A little over priced if you don't go on the Tuesday discount days but popcorn is Amazing! Best flavours are say cheese cheese, ranch, and jalapeño jack!

Pricey? Yes. Worth it? Yes!…read more I don't shop here often but when I do, their products are top notch - fresh and worth every penny! It's definitely expensive shopping here but you really do get what you pay for. I come here mainly for their bakery items like their famous jelly roll cake - a must get for the holidays! Their cookies here are baked in house and delicious as well. I often come here during the holidays for herbs as well, since herbs seem to sell out quickly at larger grocery stores. They really have everything that you need here. Butcher section also has great quality meat. As for their ice cream pints at the back of the store - you MUST get some! They are so delicious with unique flavours, some even with an Asian twist. Overall, a great grocery store to shop from if you have the means for it ;) OR stop in here once in a while to check out their specialty items like the jelly roll!

I stopped by to pick up one of their infamous jelly rolls. Never had one but heard that it's amazing. The standard one is the mixed berry however they had a lemon & blueberry one so I opted to go with that since hubby loves that flavor combination. We took it to a friend's house that night and it was exquisite! My friends who said that they normally don't like cake now have a new addiction. The cake had the perfect texture to it to hold up all that amazing fresh cream, lemon curd and blueberries and it was also a perfect balance of sweetness. I've been there on multiple occasions while living in Markham usually interacting with the staff in bakery and the cashiers and everyone I have encountered has been lovely. The parking lot isn't massive but it is enough to host all of their shoppers as I've never had an issue with finding parking there.

Though is smallish compares to others, most vendors here are from the area and really friendly! If you go around 3:30 pm, a lot of the vendors even offers end of day sale! And of course, after shopping there is the business area on Main St and Toogood Pond where you can enjoy the rest of the afternoon!

Thankfully during an…read moreearly morning stroll along Unionville Main Street for a frappucino and some Pokemon Go adventures, hubby and I stumbled upon the market. There are vendors for fresh gluten-reduced peach and blueberry pies, COBS bread, organic honey, gorgeous floral arrangements, organic skincare products, assorted deli sausages and cheeses, hot dogs and hamburgers for nibbling on while you peruse the stalls, and of course fresh fruit and vegetable stalls. We picked up a basketful of rainbow-coloured carrots, tomatoes, beans, eggplant, zucchini, and peppers for $5.99. This is a great time of year to pick up peaches and blueberries at the peak of freshness. Everything is fresh and the vendors are friendly and happy to talk about their products. The market is open Sundays from May to October, 10am to 4pm.

The carpaccio was fine, pleasant but fairly straightforward, but everything else we ordered was excellent The octopus was tender, and hearty, paired nicely with potatoes, hummus, some greens, and capers. It was well-balanced and satisfying without feeling heavy. The steak came out a perfect medium-rare and juicy. The nut topping on the fish added a really nice crunch, contrasting beautifully with the soft, tender flesh of the fish. And then there was the duck: the clear standout of the night. It was beautifully cooked and seasoned. The fat kept it incredibly juicy without feeling greasy. The charred cabbage on the side added a subtle smokiness that tied everything together perfectly. Every bite honestly made me happier and happier. Getting to the restaurant was a little confusing at first, but once you're there, it's absolutely worth it. A really enjoyable meal overall, and especially memorable for that duck dish. Definitely a place I'd return to.

Visited this restaurant on mother's day for a lovely lunch :)…read more What we ordered: Zucchini chips: ($27) 8.5/10 I've never had zucchini chips before, they were perfectly fried, light, and went well with the tzatziki. I feel like there could've been more zucchini for the price point Peppercorn steak: ($78) 8.5/10 Very tender and well-cooked steak. I couldn't really taste much of a peppercorn flavor in the sauce though. I prefer my steak on the saltier side so I asked for some salt and they gave me a small bowl of flakey sea salt (my favourite!). Lobster roll ($48): 9/10 I've never had avocado in a lobster roll before, and the flavours & textures actually worked really well together! The lobster tasted fresh and sweet. The fries were crispy and plentiful. This spot is on the pricier side, but the quality of the food, service, and ambiance is reflected in the price.

Enter either you own info if paying separately or the same info if one person pays all of it. Lots of new dishes as well as old favourites: Chochin: Tried it. Not a fan. Tastes exactly the way I thought it would. Which is internal organ like but in an unpleasant creamy way. Duck liver raspberry toast: Nice but could be bigger. The raspberry brought an expected nice sweetness to the nice liver taste. A little more raspberry would be nice. Tuskune and egg yolk dip: It's ok but not that big a deal. Cheese momo: Fantastic. The swiss cheese is an excellent pairing to the chicken. Skin-Kawa - Delciious. Crispy. Must have, Hiza (knee cartidlidge): nice and crunchy Beef short rubs boneless: Was enticed due to the tendon part. It was nice but not incredible. Beef tenderloin + Chimichurri: Wife's favourite. We always order several of these. P-toro: Another must repeat. Great pork belly taste. Cherry tomato bacon maki: New and delightful. Bacon wrapped cherry tomatoes provide a delightful burst of tomatoey sweetness wrapped with the unctuousness of bacon. Lamb rib chop: Excellent and tasty. Once again everything was cooked perfectly and the amazing binchotan smoke made everything delicious. Fun fact, they put charcoal in the free water carafes as well.

Sumoki Yakitori offers tasty Japanese-style skewers and small plates. The grilled items are cooked just right--smoky, juicy, and full of flavour. Every skewer was fresh and tasty. My favourite was Beef Tenderloin with Chimichurri. We paired our meal with beautiful drinks that hit the spot: "Yamayuzu Matcha" and "Fairy Yuzu". To finish on a sweet note, we ordered "Grilled Mochi (Sweet)" and "Dango", which we enjoyed.

Did you know? - Chef Pho was a baking/pastry professor, and he has taught most of the local, well-known pastry chefs in Toronto... you name them, he's taught them lol. And believe it or not, he also created the recipe for the TUXEDO CAKE you see at Costco!! The classic French pastries and desserts here are SO DELICIOUS! Everything is made fresh daily in-house, and they are not too sweet at all ^^ Here are some of my favourites: Plain croissant - light, flaky and crispy! Honestly, the BEST croissant I've ever had. Croissant-making is such a timely and unbelievably meticulous process! Chocolate éclair #mustorder so fresh, and the chocolate and raspberry filling inside was perfect! Tiramisu - made with 5 different liquors, so it is quite strong but it was literally love at first bite! Opera Cake - never had opera cake so fine before! The layers are so distinctive, it was really delicious! I'm so glad to finally meet the team behind DS Confection! I can't wait to be back again to try more creations!
