While he was examining the reason why I was there, I could see he was sick from his eyes. He coughed while he was very close to my face and was not wearing a mask. I became very nervous because I have a weak immune system and prayed that I did not catch what I thought simply was "his cold". By Sunday morning, I felt like I was hit with a Mack truck. My fever was 102. I had flu like symptoms, head cold symptoms and had a hard time breathing due to my asthma. No matter what I did, I could not get warm. I missed 5 days of work last week. Finally on Thursday September 17, 2026, I went to my GP. She swabbed me for COVID, SARS and RSV. This morning Sunday September 20, my GP called me at 12:26 and told me that I tested a hard positive for COVID!!!! I still have a fever and symptoms but am getting better. I am not allowed back to work this week per my GP. How many patients became sick from seeing Dr Phillips on 9/10/26? PLEASE get tested for COVID if you are not feeling better. When this is all said and done, I will have lost 10 days of pay at the very least. I am not mad because it is human nature to be sick. I am scared financially because I live paycheck to paycheck. Maybe Dr Phillips will pay me for the 10 days of lost wages?!?! Maybe Dr Phillips should have stayed in bed or at the very least, worn a mask to protect his patients. As a senior, this was not very nice and he should know better.

Observations are the clue, watching the assistants work with clients and the PTs help those in need. I have received superior assistance thus far. I've gone to several physical therapy centers over the years for various conditions which never needed extended care even though they try to get you to treat forever. As one of my doctors once told me "go for a week, get your exercises printed out and then do them at home" No need to pay 3 co-pays a week for months. Anyway, I was currently treating for a hip replacement, so I did need extended care. On my last visit here, (and I made it my last visit), I got my appointment time mixed up by a half hour, realized it while coming in the building and they called before going up, telling me my appointment was canceled. I went up anyway fully expecting to receive my remaining 35 minutes of therapy. The irritated receptionist claimed she had to check with the therapist as I waited . She came back to the desk and in a real nasty tone and told me he couldn't see me. I couldn't believe what I was hearing. I WAS IN THE BUILDING! My therapist wasn't treating someone else as they don't take walk ins for my time slot. Yes, my first time being late for my one hour time slot was my fault. And I was fully willing to pay my co-pay(still am) but this isn't a medical office where a late arrival screws everything up. So a relative recommended Advantage Physical Therapy Center in Brick and I couldn't be happier. Dr. Dawkins Is Great. The results were immediate and I already recommended him to my primary doctor and orthopedist. It's a little further away but worth it to be treated with understanding and kindness.
