I cannot personally recommend…read moretheir business for the following reason: I won't name names, but the agent who showed us the home we wanted to buy required that we sign a buyer's agent agreement with her before she would help us put an offer on a house. As soon as we'd signed the paperwork, she announced that she would *not* be helping us personally, as she would be gone for several weeks due to a death in the family. We would instead be dealing with her colleage, who happened to be the agent representing the seller. She had us sign a contract fully knowing she would be out of town and that having the seller's agent represent us in her stead was a major conflict of interest. During this visit, she also put in our offer amount incorrectly - $9,000 less than we'd agreed to pay - and almost lost us the house to another interested buyer.

Remax and Terri Guenthner have provided a wonderful experience in buying a property. Terri…read morecompletely surpassed my expectations for what working with an agent would entail. She made a tremendous effort to understand what we were looking for in a house, to patiently work with us to find the right property, to be available to consult with during off-hours, to be very straightforward and honest, and to advise us well in making our final decisions and buying our home. We are very grateful and recommend her wholeheartedly!

Here's my wife and I's experience (rented for 1.5 years): Maintenance entered our building without notifying us and then left our back door open and front door unlocked in the winter, jeopardizing our sense of safety. We reached out to Team Idaho because we were mortified and management would not take any responsibility for this and instead made excuses and would not acknowledge our concerns. When pressed further they offered to make it right, but then never responded to our request, which was an extension to resign our lease. Instead, they cancelled our lease renewal, kicking us out and never responded to any of our emails regarding this treatment. They took as much of our deposit as possible, massive fees for 'not keeping the utility bill under our name' when it actually was, and when I called the city to verify this and sent them proof they make new reasons for taking your money. I have NEVER been treated this horrible by any company let alone a property management company. All of this treatment was from the supervisor, Merida. I should also mention during this time that my wife was pregnant and they had absolutely no care for our well being, safety, and trust. This company only views tenets as an expendable monthly income, and not as people. I would not recommend them to anyone. They think all their renters are naive college students and they make a business out of taking advantage of them. Being a local, I highly advise anyone reading this to look at other options.

If they are going to charge me a full month's rent off my deposit and then not explain it in the documents how am I supposed to feel? There are other realtors in town that will give you exceptional service. I was shown several houses by a realtor at Kestrel named Brian Howard, and the things he told me about the homes were blatantly untrue. It was as if he were hiding something about the properties with me. I asked several questions about a code violation, and his story changed Every time he answered. I have never had business dealings with such a charlatan in all my life! Take my advice, and do real estate business with another company. I would give them Zero Stars if I could !!

As an owner of a…read morelocal real estate company in my home state and my husband's 27+ years in Real Estate, it would be an understatement to say that we have been involved in thousands of real estate transactions. In all that time, we have never had to deal with the level of intentional deception (or ineptness?) as we did in dealing with Kestrel Realty Group and Brian Howard. If you have the unfortunate experience of having to deal with them, keep you guard up and your eyes open. Be sure to read your contract backwards and forwards and watch every move until closing; if you don't, you stand to lose. For example: * The property was advertised at one acreage, then, after we signed the purchase contract, the acreage was changed and lowered. * Promises by the Brian (listing agent) for road improvements were misrepresented and never fulfilled. * After we were in contract, the sellers changed the easement which changed our driveway access and increased the cost of road improvement significantly, WITHOUT NOTIFYING US OR OUR AGENT, and just "hoping we wouldn't notice". Most professionals, realizing they've been caught, would rectify the problem. Not Kestrel; they simply didn't care. Had we not caught the changes prior to closing, we would have improved our road in the wrong place, violated the neighbor's property rights, and incurred enormous expense. Thank goodness we have some experience in these issues and were able to catch the undisclosed change. If you are willing to be sued for intentional nondisclosure of material fact, breach of contract, specific performance and incur financial losses, pick Kestrel Realty Group to represent you.
