Get ready to sweat!…read more My friends and I stopped in for a class on a Saturday Morning as part of my bachelorette festivities. The dance studio is clean and inviting. The music was on point. So in my mind, I envisoned myself twirling around a pole gracefully ala Jesse Spano (Elizabeth Berkley- but she'll always be Jesse from Saved By the Bell to me) from Showgirls. However, I am apparently not graceful, limber or fit! Seriously- this class was a real workout, and the "pole play" is not as easy as it looks. Even the "floor work" was challenging, but sexy! My friends and I were all sore the next day. I could feel the burn in my quads, biceps, abs and rump. Although, I will admit it was one of the funnest workouts I've ever done. Amanda was our instructor and was ultra talented and full or personality. I'd love to return for their beginner's classes. *Insert body roll*

Immediately visions of…read moreStrictly Ballroom, sequins, and intense instruction dedicated to preserving the age old craft came to mind, however Rivertown Ballroom is decidedly (and thankfully) casual and ever so slightly romantic. We paid $15 for 2 for an hour group foxtrot lesson. We started out learning "the basic" slow, slow, quick quick step which progressed further into a box step and eventually we added the turning dance move the twinkle. I started out with two clumsy left feet and awkward, stiff body positioning, "frame" as they called it. But as the class went on I eventually smoothed out the steps and looked somewhat proficient with my dance partners and was fairly comfortable with the three basic steps we learned. I enjoyed myself thoroughly and would recommend this class or the studio itself to anyone interested in learning just the basics of Ballroom dance. I'd definitely come back to Foxtrot or try some of the other dances they offer like the Waltz or even Belly Dancing!

They saved the day with the summer drop in dance classes. My daughter was asking for ballet for…read moreawhile and I finally told her she could. She was super excited except the place I found was full! After googling dance dynamic, they had spaces. They were super friendly! They let my daughter borrow tap shoes and said if she was interested they could recommend a place and brand. The teachers were great and gave the kids one on one attention. The only downfall was I didn't like the small window and the blinds were down but open. It made watching the class hard.

From the moment I walked into the studio and asked about the program i got such a warm feeling. It felt like they genuinely cared about every student and knew the families. Just so happened the person I spoke to ended up being her teacher for tap! Ms Eileen is so engaging with this group of 3-4 year olds!! I later found out she taught preschool for 14 years so I feel my daughter is in great hands. She makes it fun each week. They really learn too. "Mr. David" (office manager) greets everyone with a smile as if he is welcoming us to his home every week. He has been more than accommodating with tuition dues and flexible.
