Keyport Marine Basin - Keyport, New Jersey

Been coming here for years. Not fancy but really good protected location with quick bay access. Lots of floating docks slips that are easy to use and good launch ramp. Place is even better since the bridge was rebuilt with more clearance. The owners have never ever been rude to me. But like most old salts they might have limited tolerance for fools and time wasters when things are busy. In my 40 years of boating thats been the norm at any boat yard. The yard crew is truly a great bunch of guys, always friendly and helpful. If your a fisherman/boater theres a lot to like here. read more

RUDE. RUDE. RUDE! Would not recommend. I would sooner go to another state than buy or rent anything from here. Owner hung up on me after a "hello and how are you?" He says "get to the point" and then hung up. I then called back to offer a second chance and had questions about all of the things "they offer" he informed me he was busy and I offered to call back at a better time for him. He said no. Let's try again. He was still very rude and impatient and referred me elsewhere and then again hung up on me. In a day and age where we really try to go to local business and we are across on the other side of 35 it's a shame that a person cannot respond in a nice respectful manner. Clearly he needs to learn some manners. read more
