Old ATT Samsung phone died last night. Got in our truck this am to take it to the repair shop to see why it was running rough and it pretty much died in their parking lot. While waiting for the mechanic to get to my car, I walked the phone over to see Victor a couple of buildings away. (ATT had referred me to him, since they only sell new phones in the Tavernier store.) Not only did he diagnose it on the spot (bad battery), he ordered the new battery and was able to get it into an overnight shipment. Then, on top of that, he drove me home after hearing me on a call to my husband saying that I was going to try to catch the bus home. Talk about service!! While on vacation i dropped and shattered the screen on my iPhone. I took it to Victor at Keys Smartphone repair, located inside the Marathon Gas station. Yup I was little concened about that .... at the gas station and all. BUT as i waited my turn to speak with Victor I overheard him advise the customer ahead of me. He was professional and precise, and clearly had the customers best interest in mind. When it was my turn, I also mentioned that the ear volume was not good, to my surprise he told me that it was part of the screen and replacing it would fix the issue. Im sure it would have been a seperate charge had I gone to the apple store, and he was half the price. If you have an issue with your phone while in the upper Keys, He is your guy. I contacted Victor to see if he would be willing to assist my father with his phone after suffering a stroke, my dad was staying in a nursing facility in Tavernier and I live in California. Victor was very quick to return my calls and set up an appointment for the next day to visit my dad. Victor visited my father in the nursing home and was able to return the phone to how my dad had it originally set up (before we set up speed dial and auto answer) so he could connect with family and friends which is vital to rehabilitation. Victor did not charge me any fee and was just happy to help my dad and I out. Very kind and generous of Victor. Amazing service and shop. My iPhone would not charge due to a water issue while on vacation in the Keys. I called the repair shop before store hours and the owner/ operator told me ways he may be able to fix it - he successfully, professionally, promptly, and politely fixed my phone.
