A few years ago we were referred to this company by our local Service Master as our basement had…read moreflooded after days of heavy rain. The man who did the estimate was very knowledgeable, he talked fast, to the point and my impression was that he had been a salesman before. The clean up crew was very nice, personable and efficient. We did mention to the initial estimator that we wanted them to replace the carpet in the rec room and would pay the difference. The clean up crew came on two separate days and kept trying to clean the carpet saying per our insurance company they were to try and save the carpet. The overwhelming smell of mold from the carpet became unbearable and I demanded they remove the carpet. Getting charged for a couple of days of cleaning when we asked for it to be removed irritated me. The repairs went well till near the end. Apparently after having to remove the closet doors to replace the carpet we would have to pay a separate fee to have them put back on! Huh?! The toilet needed a new ring so they didn't reinstall it. After finding this out we went and bought the ring but now there would be a separate charge to fix it. When they did that it was sitting on shims a half inch off the floor. Again...Huh?! After discussing this it worked out that they did what they considered "extras" for no additional fee. DO NOT pick your carpet from the samples they offer!! Go to Lowes, pick a carpet and have them install it. The carpet constantly had small pieces coming up all over, and not just a little....a lot!! After complaining a couple times over a year's time they replaced it. It's now the second worst carpet I've ever had. Better to save yourself a lot of aggravation and skip this company all together.

We were asleep but…read moreour Security Cameras recorded his "loitering and prowling" around our house, near our bedroom, den, etc., and we were shocked to see his activity the next day in the videos! (he was caught and charged by Police for the above crimes). Time for deadbolts on all exterior doors! We called Spory's who had changed our locks after we moved into our house 7 years ago, and Brian again arrived and did a GREAT JOB! He arrived exactly on time and worked diligently and very professionally in installing all new deadbolts. We feel very safe now with the new locks, our security cameras, and our security system. The guy who came to our house was polite and professional. We signed and returned the estimate and were told that we would be contacted when they were ready to schedule the work. By the end of May, we hadn't heard anything back and reached out to them to confirm they had received the signed estimate. They confirmed they had over a month ago and would still reach out when they were ready to schedule the work. It's now been just shy of a year since we received our estimate and no word from Elias Painting. This is the first time we've contracted any painting out, but I have to assume this kind of wait period is unheard of.
