I love KFC, but this KFC has forced me to stop going. Having spent several of my teenage years working for KFC including cooking I have a pretty good idea what the chicken "Should" be like. And this KFC simply doesn't deliver. Service: Service here has always been friendly, though not always quick. I don't usually mind waiting for food if it's fresh and good, but waiting for it and then not having it be good is something I'm simply not willing to continually subject myself to. Food: The food is really the sore point of this store. I sent in an email to the organization some time ago explaining the problems in detail including what I suspected to be the cause of the problems. They appear to have promptly ignored this email as I was never contacted, and after waiting a month or so before going back they still had not made any adjustments to try and resolve the problems. The chicken is not being breaded and cooked properly. This ultimately results in the Original chicken having an almost crispy texture to it, while the Extra Crispy (and chicken strips) is too soggy. This includes anything they are actually having to prepare and cook on location. This could either be a problem with their cook or with their equipment. Either way they don't appear to care enough to address the problems, so I would suggest looking somewhere else for food. read more

I went thru the drive thru in American Fork. Ordered a 12 piece orginal chicken with the three sides - 2 mashed potatoes and one cole slaw. When we dove into the meal, the cole slaw and the 6 biscuits were missing. The chicken barely cleared half the bucket. All the pieces were small and what was there was basically skin and bones. If there was a "zero" star rating this place in American Fork would get one. Service sucked because no one was at the counter when we entered (with other customers) and it took a several minutes for the crowd in the kitchen to even approach us and the other unfortunate customers. Then, the food was terrible - chicken leg and two thighs were dried out as were the potato logs or whatever they want to call them - and the beans were al dente at best. We asked for a leg, thigh and breast for the 3-piece and never did see a white piece of chicken all night. And, besides everything either being over done or under done or not given to us as we requested - the service really, really sucked (or did I mention that). My wife and I thought that maybe the "new surroundings" may have forced the franchise to hire new management and staff but that doesn't seem to be the case as we received the same service and product as before - lousy, irritating, inept, uncaring,...... And, if I didn't state it before, the service AND the food sucked just like it did before the remodel. read more

Oh my goodness you guys. This place is the bomb! We had a set of special circumstances when we stopped in to this KFC. We called ahead and made an arrangement with the manager Erica. Not only did she provide on her end she stepped up her game and made the whole experience magic for us. The energy when we walked into the building was so inviting. The food was fresh and delicious and of course we feel like best friends to the entire staff now! Way to go you guys. You didn't need to do any above what we asked for and you just did it because you're good humans. Definitely coming back and sending everyone else here. read more

Am Fork location: Rude window staff!! I asked if they still sold a leg and thigh bucket (like they used to, but was not on the new menu board now--or at least I couldn't see it), and got a response over the intercom "yes we sell chicken". When I explained that I was wondering if they still sold the dark meat bucket, again the answer over the intercom was "I answered you". Wow! WOW!!! I don't even want to give one star... So I'm with Jon E.- If I could give 0 stars I would. We waited for 8 minutes before the car in front of us was able to order. It was 8 o'clock at night and we were the only two cars in line. I asked for no ice in my root beer, it came out with ice and when we gave it back she dumped the ice and filled the cup 1/2 full. I opened the cup in my car and ask her to top it off and she barely put anything more in it. Chicken was dry and didn't taste like KFC. Too bad they just remodeled this place, I suspect it won't last long with the terrible service and substandard food. read more

Ordered 2 items, was asked to pull forward, waited 20 minutes, ended up having to call and they finally brought out the order. The food was incorrect and cold. Called to get a refund and spoke to the manager who ended up yelling at me over the phone. Wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. read more

My husband went there and ordered three chicken tender meals. He told them nothing spicy. He asked for honey mustard sauce. He gets home and the sauce was all over the chicken and it was so spicy we couldn't eat it. The sauce was all over the chicken and the biscuit. The biscuits were soggy and we couldn't eat them. The chicken was greasy. I tried to call the place and talk to the manager. They never answered the phone. We will NEVER go there again. read more

I have been in customer service for over 20 years and it is always common courtesy and the rule, that you greet customers within 3 to 5 seconds after they have come through your front doors. I walked into the American Fork KFC at 3:15 in the afternoon and it actually looks like we stood at the front counter probably a good 4/5 minutes. You actually couldn't even see an employee commented it's a ghost town KFC . After we had said hello do we have anybody that can help us still not worn employee not one manager came up to say oh my gosh I'm so sorry or whatever you know apologize for it will be right with you no courtesy at all... That is the worst customer service I've ever seen in my life.. there's probably four or five employees are and none of them have name tags on so I can't even tell you who they are but nobody acknowledged that there was people standing out front and to me that's everything because if you lose a customer standing at the door and they haven't even ordered your advertisement goes way down because word of mouth is the best advertisement.. that's really poor management.. and I just think it just plain rude.. read more

American Fork KFC is so bad that my husband stated that we will not ever go there again. They consistently mess up our easy order. This last time they gave us chicken wings instead of chicken tenders. The potato wedges were dried out and hard. The one chicken breast that I had in my fill-up was so tough, I could hardly eat it and the famous coating was almost non-existent on the breast. It took my husband (as usual) 10 mins to order 3 peoples' food as the man at the counter either had a low IQ or had a language problem. This is not the first time we had trouble communicating with the counter help. Also, we noticed the two older ladies in front of us having considerable trouble also. I don't normally write reviews but I couldn't let this slide. We went through the drive-through​ and ordered six meals. We were asked to pull forward and wait for our food to be brought out to us. After we pulled forward we noticed that they forgot to give us one of the drinks we ordered. No big deal, we informed them of that when we brought out our food and they went back in and got us our missing drink. When we got home and started passing out the meals we noticed that we were missing a 3 piece chicken tender meal, syrup for the chicken and waffles and fries for one of the meals. I called in and informed them of what was missing and rather than apologize they simply asked when I could come back in. I said I can come in now and we headed back in. Once I got there I spoke with them and they told me they would get my items. We waited 15 minutes to get our 3 piece tender meal, fries and syrup. They didn't show us the meal just stuck it in a box and said:​ "here you go". When we got home again we opened up the box meal and rather than giving us a 3 piece tender meal they gave us a chicken leg meal. I couldn't believe the incompetence​ we had just experienced​ and when I called back to ask what was going on they hung up on me. I then tried calling back several times and they refused to answer the phone. This is honestly the worst customer experience I have had. Whoever the franchise is should be ashamed. Your employees are not doing you any favors and they are destroying the KFC brand in this market. read more

this is a new building, a lot nicer than the dump it use to be. i was in no hurry to go back but the wife sent me to get her a piece of chicken. it was 630 pm. the place was packed and only three people working. it took an incredible 30 minutes to get my food. i had to ask for the drink cups, there were no lids in my cup size. i asked for bbq sauce which i did not get. the food was warm but not hot. the staff seemed very stress and not to certain what they were doing. i remember now why i stopped going in the first place. way over priced food that takes forever to get. my son was with me and feels the same way. go on down the street to fresh market, the chicken is good and it does not take forever to get. read more

Went to the brand newly remodeling store in American Fork Utah. We wait in the drive thru for 35 minutes only to be told they are closed when it was are turn to order. We waiting another 15 minutes stuck behind the car in front of us to leave the drive thru. When we got to the window she told use they did not have enough chicken as a car was waiting in front. However the guy behind got to order and there was not car waiting in the parking lot. I saw there was at least 3 or 4 ukets worth of cooked chicken seating on the racks. Tonight was my first time here and my last. They were not busy at all and still managed to get my order wrong. I ordered the family special along with a large order of potato wedges. The apparent large order of potato wedges wasn't even half way filled. The chicken itself was overly soggy with grease. The mashed potatoes were dry. I didn't get any butter or honey with my biscuits of which I only received 3 in what was supposed to be a box of 4. They made such a bad first impression that it will be the only impression they make for me. read more

I actually used to work for this KFC a long time ago when I was in high school and it used to be really good. The store manager was great and everything always seemed to run smoothly. Unfortunately that is no longer the case, the staff always look like they are high school dropouts that have giant gages in their ears, never tuck in their shirts, and look pretty unprofessional. I know it is just a fast food restaurant but there is still a bar that needs to be reached as far as professionalism is concerned. The food usually comes out good, however the service is absolutely horrendous, I have never been given a receipt for my meal and literally every single time I have gone there they have managed to mess up my order. I generally have a pretty small order but no joke every time I have gone there I have had to hand the bag back to the guy taking my order because something was either missing or completely wrong. Another time we decided to come in for lunch and my coworkers waited almost 30 minutes for a burger and fries because every employee felt "it was someone else's job" so nothing ever got done. Not to mention that since they were so swamped their cook WHICH WAS WEARING THE COOKS APRON COVERED IN CHICKEN GUTS came up and started making burgers bare handed without washing or anything. I thought I could trust the quality standards of KFC - but something is wrong at this American Fork Utah store - do not eat there! I ordered $32 of food from KFC American Fork, UT last night. The take out service staff was very nice, however, the food had to be at least a day old as everything they served was rubbery and dry. We only ate a couple of bites of everything (ate the mashed potatoes with barely any gravy) and threw the rest away. The chicken breasts were like cardboard because it was so dry! The hot wings were so old I couldnt even bite into them. The chicken tenders: I had to pull a bite so hard it was like jerky! Even the bisquits were dry. Unbelievably the worse meal I have EVER had anywhere and I am quite frankly disgusted there are no standards at this restaurant. I am still so mad about this, I am digging last nights food out of the trash & taking it back to them this morning. read more

My wife and I came a few weeks ago and got an 8 piece bucket. It tasted pretty standard. A little overpriced but alright. We made the mistake of going again last night and got the chicken tenders and wedges for two. They were awful! First, they were tiny. Don't plan on being satisfied. Second, They were dry as a bone. The chicken fingers at JCW's down the street put these to shame and they are cheaper. We won't be making the mistake of getting fried chicken from KFC again. If I were you, I would get fried chicken from Macey's or Wal-Mart. The biscuits were alright though. read more

There really is some weirdness going on at this KFC. I had to stop eating my meal halfway through because I kept thinking I was going to get sick. The employees are quite, how do you say unclean looking. Kfc is a great chain, but this restaurant seems to really be cutting corners on a lot of things. We just came to this new store tonight. There were a lot of cars in the drive-thru, so we went inside thinking it would be faster. We waited 40 minutes for a family meal. Now, had we been told it would be a wait, we wouldn't have been upset about it. We have two kids under 3, and they don't sit well ANYWHERE for 40 minutes. Not once did they apologize for the wait, not once did they communicate anything to us in that forty minutes. I can understand being busy--really, I can. But there is no excuse to not forewarn people, or at least have enough decency to check in on them. The icing on the cake? They screwed up our order. Always check your order before you leave this KFC....I live in Saratoga Springs Ut. i stopped at KFC on 439 E. State street to order a bucket of crispy chicken. A bucket of chicken contains 8 pieces of chicken which is a full chicken and should consist of 2 legs, 2 thighs, 2 wings and 2 drumsticks and 2 breast which would have fed my family just fine. To my surprise i get home which is quiet a ways away from KFC American Fork only to see they gave me 4 wings, 2 legs and 2 thighs, i dont know about you all but if it was wings i wanted i would have ordered wings! The chicken was quiet old and it appeared like they just rushed me off giving me an incomplete bucket. I would have happily waited if they were out! It was wrong of them to send me off with scraps! I called the store and Jackie the lead manager for the shift apologized, she could not explain to me how that happened promised me a gift certificate, which i never received! Looks like they have a couple of clowns working there!!! Check your order before you leave this place! they get one star for the Rootbear float. read more

So I went to this place about a year ago, it was a real bad experience, decide to give another try because the next nearest one is in lehi, it was much better this time but the lehi one is way better. I got chicken strips. They were overcooked and small. You do not get any deals here. This is so unfair. These people do not care about quality of product or service. They charge premium prices for bad products. You never know how your food will look going thru the drive thru. Restaurants would never get away with this because you get to see what your food is like before you pay. The owners don't care what customers feel and they probably do not read any reviews. I went to KFC yesterday and I literally watched the two teens working the counter pick on each other as my wife ordered our food. Not playing under the radar but at the counter while multiple customers were in the store. They were smacking hats off each other. Having a conversation with each other's rather than taking orders and rough housing around. Then my kids were completely ignored by them for easily 10 minutes. Even when my daughter asked for their attention she was ignored. Another customer had to come to the desk and yell at someone to get them to acknowledge my daughter when all she needed was a plate. It was despicable. They could be heard yelling to each other saying they weren't going to make something because they didn't want to. I will never eat at this location again and I advise others to do the same. Until you have an adult in the stor that can hold your employees accountable and presentable you should shut your doors. Almost every table was disgusting, the floor had a spill on it, and instead of someone cleaning it up they put a wet floor caution sign on it.
