Ordered a Nashville chicken tenders combo, Nashville hot chicken sandwich and Carolina gold chicken sandwich for $17. Seasoning tasted like they had been rolled in a second coating and recooked. Sandwiches had meat also dry and hard. Worst part was the dry and hard bread like it had been microwaved too long. I wanted to get KFC for dinner Sunday night. Upon arriving at the drive thru on Memory Lane in York, PA at approximately 4:50 p.m., there were at least a dozen cars ahead of me. Hadn't had KFC in a while so I decided to wait. 20 minutes later I am ready to order. The guy comes on the speaker and says "There's a 35 minute wait for chicken. Is that OK?" This is not just the worst KFC that I have been to, but the worst restaurant (fast food or otherwise) in Davis. Period. We have visited this KFC a few times in the last year and not only have their servers been reliably rude to us, we have had to wait 10+ minutes (and ignored after several attempts to speak to an employee) at the drive thru until we eventually decided to leave. NO ONE was ahead of us when we drove up. Also, on two separate occasions our tenders have been basically fried chicken skin with barely any meat. The "I ate the bones" commercials, and more importantly the two for one coupon, brought us in to try the new boneless skinless original recipe. We ate there but what a tired dining room. Everything looks run down. There were no chairs at the tables, just built-in benches on one side of the tables, so lots of tables for one. There was a fund raiser car wash going on in the parking lot so maybe the kids took all the chairs outside. The chicken was OK. The coleslaw was OK. We liked that the coleslaw came in a reusable plastic container. The containers look like they will be perfect for picnics and brown bag lunches as they seem water tight. I can't comment on the biscuit that came with the combo meal as I took it home for the birdies in the backyard. The customer service was very good. We were greeted promptly and our questions answered thoroughly. We're not really fast food people but every once in a while we get a craving for KFC. Just sent me on my way. -- Got back to my office... and opened up my box (see picture) to 6 of the smallest, bite size pieces of strips. --GROSS the strips taste like they were made in OLD, like really old grease! It taste powdery and just gross! I hope it doesn't make me sick! -- I did not get a receipt... not left in my bag either.... so I can't even call and give them a survey of bad news! --$14.06 for this horrible horrible experience! Asked for a 12 piece bucket with chicken only. When we rolled up to the window, I paid with my card and wasn't offered a receipt. I was then handed a bag with biscuits on top. "Oh, I ordered chicken only, I told the guy." "It comes with biscuits," he replied. "How many pieces of chicken are in here?" I asked. "That's the four piece chicken," he said. "But I ordered the 12 piece chicken-only bucket..." "Okay, I'll get that for you." He then closed the window and started filling a bucket with some chicken. When he came back, he said, "Did you order crispy?" "Yeah," I replied, handing him the original bag he handed me. He then closed the window, went back to the station, removed all the chicken pieces he had grabbed, and filled it with some crispy ones. After filling up a bit, I noticed him realize something, some pieces from the bucket, and then dump the four pieces from the bag into the bucket. When he got back to the window and handed me the bucket, I asked, "How much was I charged for this?" "$8," he said impatiently, trying to get me to leave so the next customer could roll up. "I just gave it to you." As we drove away, we discovered that he had given us 8 pieces in the bucket. We expected to pay around $23 for a 12-piece bucket. We ended up paying $8 for an 8-piece bucket, which was a welcome improvement in price. But we weren't able to bring 12 pieces to the get-together we were heading to. I have called the KFC line for 3 months (once a week or so) and still no communication. When I was in the restaurant there were employees off the close behind the counter in there street clothes stealing food. Pretending to be owners of the franchise and the manager let the staffer take food instead of selling it to customers requesting it. I had to wait 25 minutes for new food to be made because the employee took the last of the item I wanted. There staff there is careless and unprofessional, no wonder the management is always new, probably because the owners don't care so they dont... This KFC is the worst I've ever been to. With nobody in line in front of us, we waited over 5 minutes for our order to be taken. Then, upon entering the dining room, we could not find a table that was clean. Not because the place was full of people. We were the only ones there. There was food and flies on the chairs and benches. Our food (popcorn chicken buckets and mashed potatoes) took over 30 minutes to finally be served. Then the order was wrong. We were given boxes of popcorn chicken (not the buckets) and they claimed they were the same. We were not given our mashed potatoes. We had to go back and ask for them, although we had to wait for someone to come to the counter for a while. It took another 5 minutes of waiting for mashed potatoes even though they said they knew they left them out. Then we had to go back again because there was no flatware to eat the mashed potatoes and Mac and cheese with. Also, no napkins or sauce. While the employee were nice, the whole experience was unpleasant and we will never go back. Almost all the tables were messy, the whole time I was there not one single person came to wipe any. When I asked for napkins they my told me they ran out.
