They come off as being very friendly and helpful, but they prey on your vulnerability. Long story short I went to Waldorf Ford and picked out a car. I had been in a car accident and received money from the Insurance company and obtained a car loan from the credit union. Waldorf Ford told me that I couldn't have what I wanted because the price I was offering was too low. So I went to Laplata Ford, they were welcoming and agreed to my offered price. I noticed there were scratches on the car and it also needed tires. The manager agreed to take care of this, in the coming days. The only thing replaced were the tires. Approximately 20 days after I had the car, I got a call from the LaPlata accounting office of the dealership stating that I owe $14,000. I told her no, I had paid everything in full. Then she proceeded to call me the next week stating that I need to pay the money that I owed them or return the car. The young man who processed my paperwork had subtracted $14,000, twice on my paperwork. I told her that I would be returning the car on Friday afternoon. I returned the car, thinking that I would get my money back and the accounting department would pay off my loan in an expeditious manner. After all, we paid them the same day.   Today, Oct 16, 2024, I have not received any money or credit for my car loan. This is unacceptable and unprofessional customer service. I would advise anyone looking to buy a car to do your research and stay away from these incompetent and inefficient group of crooks.

He was extremely knowledgeable and listened to my wants and needs. He didn't pressure me into anything and even offered me to look at cheaper cars that would be closer to the monthly payments I was looking for. But no surprise that I ended up falling in love with the Mercedes GLE 53 AMG coupe! I really like that they don't let people test drive most of their vehicles. They take business seriously and don't stress over losing sales bc the service and cars speak for themselves! The paperwork and overall process didn't take long either as most dealerships do. The process was easy and they walked me through it with no rush making sure I understood everything. Even helped me transfer my insurance policy! The dealership is so beautiful too. They have a wide range of rare and typical luxury vehicles. Everyone is so friendly there and it's nice to see that they all get along and crack jokes. It seems like a wonderful environment for the employees and patrons. Thank you Naser and both Mikes for helping me find such a beautiful car with amazing performance!!

My car was there from Aug 05th until November 19th only because of the health monitoring of staff. My car was completed with monomial engine issues, and there were no check engine annoying lights which discovered. I don't always write effective reviews, but Pedro and Brad were kind to address my questions and if you own. Chevy i would recommend the quality ethics of WINEGARDNER Chevrolet services department!! Well done, outstanding.

I brought my 2017 GMC Sierra (92K miles) to this dealership in early April to diagnose a…read morenon‑working passenger power seat, get a new key fob, and have a multi‑point inspection done. Their diagnosis: the entire seat track supposedly needed replacement for $1,600, the transmission cooler lines were "starting to leak" for $940, and the key fob would be $270. I approved the cooler lines and key fob since those were priorities, and paid the $205 diagnostic fee, even though the seat track diagnosis didn't sit right with me. When I picked up my truck--on a rainy day--I paid the $1,400+ bill and went home. The next day, once the truck was dry, I noticed a dent in the chrome section of my rear bumper that absolutely was not there before service. I contacted my advisor, Josh, who reviewed the security footage. To his credit, he confirmed the damage happened at the dealership and said they would take care of it. Around this same time, I also began experiencing a jerking sensation in the transmission that was not present before they replaced the cooler lines. I brought the truck back for the bumper repair. When I picked it up, the chrome piece had huge gaps and clearly didn't fit correctly--they replaced only the chrome section instead of the full bumper assembly, and it looked nothing like the original. So back it went for a third visit. I also asked them to diagnose the new transmission issue. After keeping my truck for over a week, they "adjusted" the bumper again and told me their transmission diagnosis was that it "probably needs a new transmission" due to the year and mileage--an estimated $7,000 repair. They still attempted to charge another $205 for a diagnosis that amounted to the word "probably." When I questioned how "probably" qualifies as a diagnosis, I was told that a real teardown would cost much more, as if they were doing me a favor by not performing one. Josh did end up waiving the fee, which was appropriate since no actual diagnostic work was done and should have been under warranty since they just did work on the transmission. As for the passenger seat? I did my own research, bought a $20 switch on Amazon, installed it myself, and the seat works perfectly. A $20 fix for what they claimed required a $1,600 seat track replacement. At this point, I'm convinced that because this is the only Chevy dealership in Fort Washington, they assume customers have no choice but to accept inflated or inaccurate diagnoses. Fortunately, Alexandria and other nearby areas have reputable dealerships--and after this experience, that's exactly where I'll be taking my truck moving forward.

The first employee I met was friendly, professional, and helpful. My service advisor, Marvin, was also pleasant during check-in, and I initially planned to leave a positive review. Unfortunately, the experience went downhill because of the lack of communication. I provided my correct phone number and expected to receive updates about my car throughout the day. Instead, I spent the entire day waiting without receiving a single call or text. I repeatedly called the dealership trying to get a status update and was continually routed to voicemail. At one point, I finally reached someone who assured me they would not put me on hold and that they would get an update for me. Instead, I was left on hold for over 30 minutes and then transferred to someone else's voicemail. By this point, I had spent hours trying to get a simple update. When I called again, I was finally told that Marvin had already left for the day without ever contacting me. I was shocked and frustrated. I had dropped off my car in the morning and spent the entire day waiting for information, only to find out near the end of the business day that my advisor had already gone home. After expressing my frustration, I was told that I could come pick up my car, which I did around 6:15 PM. What makes this especially disappointing is that the entire situation could have been avoided with a simple phone call or text message. Had someone taken a few seconds to update me using the phone number I provided, I would not have spent nearly three hours making calls, sitting on hold, being transferred, and trying to track down basic information about my car. I understand that service departments are busy, and I respect the hard work that goes into servicing customers. However, communication is a critical part of customer service, and on this visit it was completely lacking. The staff I met in person were great, but the follow-up and communication were among the most frustrating customer service experiences I have had.
