Gina dilated my eyes and check my eye pressure.Abel Abel assisted with bringing up my eye photo results on the computer for Dr. Ash. A couple of minutes later Dr. Ash came in provided excellent customer service excellent bedside manner very kind professional I appreciate a great Doctor Who really cares I highly recommend Dr. Ash. I highly recommend early morning appointments. Dr. Ash is able to assist you on Thursdays only but calm and check his schedule. It may have changed. I highly recommend you book way months in advance and book a first thing in the a.m. appointment at the Whittier California location to see Dr. Ash 8 AM preferably anything further out you'll be sitting there for two hours or more

I can't find the words to truly express how happy I am with Dr. Murthy and his staff. I am an…read moreAirline Pilot with over 37 years of airline experience and require an eye test due to occasional elevated eye pressure, termed "Pre-Glaucoma". The FAA requires pilots have a physical exam at prescribed intervals based on the type of pilot certification held. Because I am a Captain for a major airline, it has to be every six months. Once a year I have to provide test results based on the prescribed elements of my medical certification. Every year, Dr. Murthy puts me at ease with his wonderful bedside manner and his own personal knowledge of the system since he is an advanced pilot himself with actual jet experience. Thanks to his very thorough care and excellent staff, I have satisfied the FAA with flying colors on my tests. I take one eye drop at night based on his orders and it is doing the trick! My pressures are well within the FAA's guidelines along with my field of vision tests. I was so impressed with his care that I sent my wife to him and he put her at ease regarding her concerns about her vision after a thorough exam. Salute to Dr. Murthy and a Bravo Zulu as well@!

Dr. Murthy discovered something that two other retina specialists had not mentioned to me. I understand why one of them might not have, as he performed my vitrectomy pars plana surgery. I was unaware that a layer had been left behind during the surgery. Recently, I noticed a very unusual brownish floater. Fortunately, whatever was obstructing my vision disappeared the following day. Given that my surgeon did not remove that particular layer, there is a possibility of a detachment. I am now contemplating whether this was intentionally overlooked, potentially necessitating another surgical procedure. I am very grateful that Dr. Murthy came highly recommended by my husband's best friend.

If you are considering him I would not hesitate to go see him . Here is my story in regards to what happened to me and what exceptional service and treatment I received from Dr Nguyen and his staff. I tore my retina on Dec 26, 2025. At that time I didn't know that to be the case. I went to the emergency room that night and they did a sonogram and said nothing torn but I had a hemorrhage and to follow up with a Opthamologist. Well the 26th was a Friday so I had to wait until Monday to go. I did have on opthamologist from my cataract surgery but when I went to see him he was not working because of the week between Christmas and New Years. I then went to an Optometrist I know and he sent me to Dr Nguyen's office in Pomona. I walked in that Monday the 29th about 10 AM or so. I told the girl at the front desk my story and she said she could squeeze me in on Tuesday the 30th for an evaluation. I went to see Dr Nguyen on Tuesday and they ran several tests. Dr. said I had a torn retina and would require surgery to repair. I was thinking to myself ok a week or two to schedule and he said he had a spot on Wednesday the 31st. He wanted to do it sooner than later. I was shocked as I did not anticipate the sudden surgery but decided it was the best thing to do. Now comes Monica, the office scheduler for surgeries. In order to do this surgery I had to have blood work done as well as an EKG prior to surgery. Monica had me set up at Pomona Valley Hospital to do everything within about 2 hours that same day. She was amazing with the organization. December 31st, surgery day. Everything went smooth. At discharge they said I should see Dr in the Pasadena office on Jan 2. Later in the day on Dec 31 I received a call and they said Dr would see me at his office in Pomona on Jan 1. I said that is a holiday and she said not a problem Dr would meet me their and open the door and check me out to make sure everything was good. Sure enough he was their on the 1st and said all looked well. Again, I highly recommend Dr Nguyen without hesitation.

I had been here once before for an eye treatment that was successful. The doctor was very…read moreprofessional, straight forward and experienced. I came back for a second treatment for a retinal detachment. Its very important to take care of that issue before i become fully blind with that eye. I have to trust the person who is doing the lasering, and the Doctor here was great. It took about 15 minutes of lasering, and it stung a little everytime they lasered. The scariest part was taking two needle shots right into the eye. I actually cried a little and a few minutes later i was getting two needles right into the eye to numb the eye before lasering. Overall they were very professional, i just came back last week from a check up and everything checked out right. I trusted this place with my only good eye and they did a great job. I will continue to come here for any eye exams, trusted and recommended retina place.
