A little loud for my liking (mainly due to a small scale bowling alley) so conversations were not the easiest. We started with a small order of wings, 1/2 lemon pepper and 1/2 dark mesquite. The wings were delivered and the looked and smelled absolutely wonderful. Unfortunately they were extremely bland. Both flavors. As someone looking for a great place for wings (since our long time established closed) I had high hopes for this place but came up short. For an entree I went with the BLT and fries. Even had a slave of pepper jack cheese and jalapeño's added. The sandwich was a home run. Bacon was thick and crunchy, the bread was nicely toasted with just the right amount of mayo added. The fries were crunchy on the outside and hot in the middle. This was one of the best BLT's I've had on a very long while. And they have 20oz stouts! That's a definite win!! However, the loudness and the wings were the two biggest issues for me. But with that being said, I will return and try the wings again. Maybe the kitchen was having an off night, but I'll give them another shot. I did feel like I was having to raise my voice a little bit when ordering. Modeled after an italian castle and St. Peter's Square in Italy, this mixed-use development features Italian stone. Visitors can enjoy shops, restaurants, breweries, and public spaces, and the community also includes apartments and offices. I mainly strolled through the holiday market and got lit at the mobile bookstore, Families and kids were enjoying the outdoor spaces, carousel and Christmas inflatables. A one and done for me, and it appears that guests enjoy having this Town Center in their neighborhood.

We were trying to plan a beautiful wedding for a military couple stationed in Japan. His family is from Greenville area. There were to be between 100-120 guest. The venue manager said the venue would hold 150 easily with no issues, as stated on the website. This is completely incorrect. The venue only has 10 sixty inch round tables for guests to be seated at and those tables only hold 8 comfortably. It seemed once they had a deposit then things started to change. The venue only had 50 chairs and we would have to rent an additional 60 as an extra charge. The entire function was cramped. We had 111 people confirmed and 6 no showed. So with 111 confirmed we had to have an 11th table that they did not have. They charged us to rent that extra table and chairs too. The venue was too small and should change their website. Another mis-truth on the website is that you have several choices of vendors. This is not true either, we were told that the caterer Southern way has exclusivity. They were more expensive than others we got menus from, so that was disappointing. The manager, Steve was rude and condescending at most times. Communication was difficult. On the day of set up, he used our muscle to help put together an Arbor that we had to pay $150 to rent for 30 mins. That's unbelievable to me that he has no employees to help him and that it wasn't included in the venue since it was in their photos online. It seemed there was an extra charge for many things, such as tablecloths. We were also charged for a security guard that was never there. At the end of the function, we had to tear it down and take the trash to the dumpster a block away. Really? Why would you rent a place that is this disorganized and includes nothing. It was a HUGE disappointment! Spend your money elsewhere. Ask lots of questions before you sign a contract. I believe this military couple was taken advantage of at contract signing because of the lies they were told. The Upper Room Greenville should be ashamed of themselves.

The venue was perfect in terms of its layout and space. An ideal place that ensures coziness of everyone. The layout consists of a main hall with a deck and another space for the reception. The deck was a perfect idea for the bride to walk down the stairs and into the aisle. The main hall was small, but it was enough to fit about 150 people with room for other stuff. The side room was turned into the reception with arranged tables. I loved the high ceilings and the bricked and stained decors. It was a warehouse feel indeed, but a newly renovated one. The bathroom locations were convenient and so was accessibility in the entire venue. It is beautiful and perfect not just for weddings, but any special occasion.

With the Edison bulbs strung overhead, a wedding here would be very nice but be sure to ask about how long and how loud you can play music. There are clear garage doors that separate the indoor space from the covered patio area. They can't be opened without a city permit, so if you want to use them you'll need to look into this. The bathrooms are large. There is no refrigerator, but there is what I think was a warming cart, a sink, shelves, and a rolling cart in the kitchen area. Parking is tight. When we arrived, the tables inside and out as well as the chairs were covered with pollen. They don't provide any cleaning supplies so we had to get our own and do the cleaning ourselves. When we viewed the property the day before, I thought for sure everything would have been cleaned as part of the price. Wrong! As we were cleaning the chairs they also had grease buildup so they hadn't been cleaned/sanitized in a while. We actually needed more tables but didn't find out until later that there were plenty of them in the upstairs area. The worst part of the evening was the person on duty. He was visibly unhappy to be there and unfriendly. He would only look at us but not speak. When my husband asked about trash bags (you might want to bring those, too) he threw a couple of them his way. As we were cleaning up, I apologized for the delay and he didn't even look at me. And then as we were leaving and I asked if we had gotten everything, he nodded and slammed the gate in our face. We were dumbfounded. I hope the owners realize this doesn't make for good business. I don't like leaving mediocre reviews unless they are deserved, and this one was.

The contact at Swanson's was easy to work with. The event was affordable and casual yet intimate. We picked the caterer. We hosted this event on December 30th so the colorful string lights felt perfectly festive! With the price, we also got dance lessons which were a BIG help for our 1st dance! Starlina was so helpful and professional before and during the wedding! She made the whole wedding planning process so much easier. Choosing this venue for my big day was the best decision I made. Essentia was absolutely perfect and I would recommend Essentia to ANYONE for ANY occasion. The staff is amazing, the atmosphere is wonderful, and the decor is breath-taking.

I did not even want to give 1 star and this is why!:…read more The only things that this vendor provided were the two dance lessons included with the wedding contract and the initial consultation! When trying to pay for this venue, we hit some snags financially since I was in between jobs. I would call at least a week in advance to let her know if a payment would be delayed. (This only occurred twice) Even with the notice Starlina was very rude and not flexible at all. We tried to let that go, and we did. We did notice that she only seemed concerned after we paid. She was not friendly at all until she was paid in full. Then we wanted more dance lessons to show off. We forked out for those lessons too! When we realized our budget was getting out of hand we tried to reason with her. Now full disclosure here, yes in the venue contract it says no refunds. But here is our problem with that. We just let her know yesterday about our change in plans because of budget. Our wedding was not even going to be until October 2016 and we booked her in August of 2015. Well over a year in advance and we cancelled well in advance as well. She did not even want to do a refund even on the dance lessons, which no contract was ever signed saying we could not get our money back. (We only did 3 out of 10 lessons) What seemed so outrageous is that anytime we tried to schedule lessons, she was ALWAYS BOOKED!!! I would get off work at 5pm but we had our dances at 7:30pm. Then every time we talked to her or other customers it seemed she always had some kind of event going on almost all week! So we knew she had plenty of time to fill the day with another event and fill our unused lesson days with other people. The thing about all of this is that we were not even asking for all of it back, at the very least we only wanted half back. Plus, the 2 times I met her mother she would be rude to her in front of me. Be family and do what you do, but be professional in front of customers, no speaking down to your mother! Now she is mad about the review on Wedding wire and disputed it. Good luck because I will just do this every where else! Oh and before she tries to say she offered to help us with the dance lesson money back, she only did so after I told her I would post a review and let people know our experience! (I have the email to prove it!)
