Loved this place. It was packed even at 2pm on a Sunday. Their a/c could use some work as it was a little warm inside but not bad. I'd call it an old me English pub vibe tho the website called in New Orleans style. The food was decent tho their cheesesteak special was awful. Lesson is don't order a cheesesteak from a place in Philly that doesn't have it on their menu every day. lol

Saw so many great reviews about this place and they were not wrong. We were able to grab a seat at the bar during brunch and were impressed with their large number of beers on tap. The eggs Benedict was good but the biscuits and gravy was absolutely delicious with a unique spicy flavor. Would highly recommend stopping in for great food and great service.

Came here two days in a row! The first day I came I had some kind of lemonade drink. It was supposed to have bourbon, but I opted to get a virgin version of it, which was absolutely delicious. Also had some jambalaya and for a jambalaya in the middle of the city at a bar? Man this shit was amazing. It had the right spice level. The shrimp, sausage and chicken were perfect. The rice had the right amount of flavor and it was a perfect portion. This is the first time I think I finished a meal in like six years. I wanted to lick the bowl! I ended up spending about $25 with my drink and the food. I came back the next day with my friend, Morris. We ordered the same drinks again this time he got the one with bourbon in it (a double shot) and we shared the jambalaya. Which again was absolute amazing delicious.l. The drinks were nice. Vibes were great, & I am literally gonna make this my new hangout spot whenever I'm here.

I have dietary restrictions so I have to be careful where I eat & what I eat. Khyber is one of my Happy Places; the funny thing is that I have never dined in. Yet my plant-based/vegan food is consistently: *packaged with care *tasty and available in a timely manner for 3rd party delivery. My usual is the: Creole vegan butter popcorn, Vegan Po Boy w/o mayo & fresh cut fries. All set for my NYE picnic with the fur baby. Happy New Year!

A festive atmosphere at this Southern-themed restaurant bar. I enjoyed my conversation with the friendly bartender and my delicious stout. Splurged on some New Orleans style food. Fried fish Po Boy was tasty. Crab hushpuppies sat too long in the fryer but that saved me from eating them all!

Came here with a group of friends on a Saturday night and had a great time. The bartenders were super nice and kept yhe good/drinks flowing. We weren't able to get a table because there was a 3 hr wait BUT there was room in the bar area so we just stayed there the entire time time. The bar was packed from the time we got there until the time we left. The food was pretty good for bar food & the drinks were decent. Overall we all had a really great time there!

Great beer selection, delicious tofu sandwich (need to come back and try all their vegan dishes!), and lovely intimate atmosphere. Got seated next to this sick lamp - you gotta ask the staff what they're made of!

Excellent food and service. Had the Gumbo and Jambalaya along with cheeseburger for the grandkid. Order of fries was crispy, fresh and pretty huge. Great atmosphere.

Recently I've been doing a gobbler series on social media and have been trying all the different gobblers in Philly. I ordered the gobbler here for delivery and was blown away. It had truly been my favorite one so far. Everything you love in a gobbler was perfectly done. Soft bread, wet (lots of moisture from the gravy and stuffing) and perfect amount of cranberry sauce and the turkey was moist and tender (perfectly cooked). It was so good!! Next time I will definitely be going in for a visit to try other menu items. It was also a quick delivery and packaged nicely for such a messy sandwich.

Nice relaxed spot whether you're at the bar or sitting in the dining room area. A bit dark and cozy inside, nice to unwind after a long day. Good drink menu with many choices of beers or cocktails. Extensive with more than just the usual. Food menu has lots of pub stuff for a snack or lunch/dinner. Good burger and fries. Nice big bun with juicy patty, and fries nice and crispy. Thanks

Got the shrimp and corned beef po boys. Surprisingly, I liked the corned beef one more. The pimento cheese dip was very yummy. The voodoo chips were good with the dip but would break relatively easily. The banana fosters custard was my favorite part of the meal. My friends and I finished it before we even remembered to take a picture. It was so rich and creamy. Overall solid pub food

Great pub with a great beer list, a laid back vibe in the afternoon and a busy jubilant atmosphere during the weekend night shifts. We went 3 times over last week since we were staying up the street and round the corner. Thank you Jake for the conversation and for taking great care of us on my birthday. The barleywine and shot of fernet surprisingly did really pair nicely together.

Gumbo, Po Boy and Tom's signature tequila drink! I call it conquistador! It's fire!

One of my absolute favorite spots in Philly! From the food and drinks to the amazing staff, this place never disappoints. The gumbo and po' boys are my go-to's, always on point. I love that they play great movies and shows on both screens (and yes, it's usually something different on each!). Whether you're on a first date or just hanging out with friends and family, the vibe here is always top-notch. The décor is stylish, the atmosphere is welcoming, and the bartenders deserve a shoutout for being so quick and attentive. Sorry it took me this long to brag about you guy, you've definitely earned it!

I learned later that this restaurant has been around since the early to mid 1900's. Plenty of parking in a large open lot. The place is very large and has one of the longest bars I've seen. The wood is very dark and you can see the chefs cooking over the hearth. They don't take reservations and won't see you until your entire party is there. One of the things I liked for our party of 10 was they had no problems with seating as they also have many large round tables. For mixed drinks, they make them pretty big and potent. For my martini, they sent back an extra glass. They also had great bleu cheese stuffed olives. We ordered onion rings (8 large to an order) and fried zucchini. The onion ring I had was pretty good. I didn't have the fried zucchini but heard it was also pretty good. Other than the light fare items, all dinners come with their salad bar which has both iceberg lettuce and Caesar Salad along with many fixings as well as cheeses and bread. I had the Baked Seafood Platter which came with scallops, shrimp, Clam Casino (without the shell), Maryland crab cake and a small lobster tail for $49.99. My wife had the baked chicken breast which she said was quite dry. The dining area is quite large and reminds me of the restaurants at a casino. Some in our group said it reminds them of Medieval Times due to the dark wood vibe. While I thought it was a bit pricey, I would still come back and try their signature steaks or prime rib.

Also, they won't stay you until the entire party is there. We waited at the bar for everyone to arrive, where one cocktail was more than enough for me. You definitely get your money's worth, and you should not drive afterward. (I did not.)

The first thing I did was head straight for my favorite, Cantillon from Belgium. This visit, I tried their Kriek LG, a fruited lambic made by adding sour cherries to a two-year-old aged lambic. All I can say is... WOW! Tart, complex, refreshing, and dangerously drinkable. If beer could win an Academy Award, this one would be giving an acceptance speech. Now, let's talk food. I ordered the Thai Curry Mussels, and they were absolutely outstanding. The broth was packed with flavor, and the mussels were cooked perfectly. They easily rank in the top five mussel dishes I've ever had, and I've done my research! Pro tip: Don't make the rookie mistake of eating all the bread first. Save some for the end so you can soak up every last drop of that incredible curry broth at the bottom of the bowl. Trust me, you'll thank me later. The service is always excellent. John usually takes care of us in the back, and he consistently makes the experience even better with great recommendations and friendly service. In side is cozy and friendly! If you live in Philly and haven't been here yet, what are you waiting for? Great beer, amazing food, and outstanding service--this place checks every box. The bartender informed us that we could not sit at the table unless we were ordering food. At this point we ended our pub crawl and left defeated scratching our heads. Unfortunately, it didn't live up to the hype for me. It could have been cooked better, and overall I wasn't particularly impressed with it. What stood out most was the service.
