Well, it did exactly that! We were quite satisfied with every single aspect of the meal. The friendly family owned vibes, the attentiveness of the wait staff, the recommendations on how to order and accommodations on what we did order, the timeliness that the food was delivered and the quality (and value) of the food and the wine are just a few of the things we took note of. I've been to some pretty incredible Italian restaurants in my day and had some out of this world homemade Italian cuisine and this place held it's own and delivered in the way it's supposed to. And the bolognese awesome. But it was the homemade pasta that made us think so highly of La Cantina. Needless to say we did not have enough room for dessert. I'm sure this is not their usual routine and we may have caught them on a bad night. We waited quite a while for mains and then dessert and did not bother waiting for the bill (went up to the counter to retrieve it ourselves). We noticed many around us also waited quite a while for their meals. The food was so good though that this really didn't impact my opinion of the restaurant too much and I would definitely return!
