You will not find a single leaf on the ground. Here's the most important benefit, to me: you cannot hear your neighbors. I'd say that once a month, I'd hear my neighbors drop something, but that's about it. It's VERY quiet. No footsteps, snoring, conversation eavesdropping, or music can be heard (unless your neighbor is having a party of course, but this doesn't happen at the Jasper.) The building is hurricane proof and from what I'm guessing, would be the last thing standing in the event of a nuclear blast - it's top notch. Tenants are comprised of the mid to older age range, with some graduate students sprinkled in. No ragers, no pre games, no screaming. Everyone is nice, and every pet is nice. There are shops/restaurants underneath that are 10/10 and convenient. There are monthly resident events that are well worth the time to attend (sunset paddle boarding, sunset ferry rides, weekly Wednesday happy hours, wreath making, candle making, food trucks, all FREE). The internet is lightning fast. The location can't be beat - with Colonial lake across the street, and the historic district a 1 minute walk away... makes me want to move back! Rent for my 1 bedroom was $3600 monthly. It's steep, but if you spend 95% of your time somewhere, it's worth the money. There is no better apartment in all of Charleston, and I've seen them all! 5/5 10/10 - no complaints.

I own a condo here and I love it. I didn't realize how awesome the location was until after I moved…read morein; I'm 5 minutes away from Target, Town Center, and Belle Hall Shopping Center, and 10 minutes away from the beach and Downtown. The condominium won a lawsuit and recently upgraded the whole exterior (including windows and doors) in 2014. It looks like a new complex. The interior features high ceilings, BIG walk-in master closets, and an efficient use of space overall. I might have quiet neighbors, but I rarely hear them beside and above me. The amenities are what you'd expect; a gym, pool, tennis area, a car wash area (yay!) and a gated entrance. It's also very dog friendly - there are numerous poo-bag stations and a small dog park. Dogs definitely outnumber children! Speaking of the lack of children... this makes for a very relaxing poolside experience. :)

Their care is genuine, down to earth, and friendly -- they make it feel like home, not just a collection of buildings and walls. Robin's arrival as the new manager a year ago was the best thing that could have happened to this community. She and Rich both take genuine pride in creating a welcoming, responsive, and well-cared-for environment. While the property may not be considered "luxury living," it feels like home -- and that's largely because of the staff's commitment to treating residents with respect and warmth. Additionally, I strongly encourage corporate to allocate funding for long-overdue repairs, especially the tennis court and the fitness center. Robin and her team do an incredible job with what they're given, but they deserve the resources to keep the community functional, and enjoyable for everyone. My thoughts along with other residents are to give the tennis court a face lift (fix cracked unleveled ground, replace broken net, repair fence), add pickle ball features or just create a fenced in playground. The kids LOVE playing there and are very creative with that space considering there is no playground on site...this would definitely attract the many families that move here for the schools and for the ever growing number of young families moving to the area. Lastly, for anyone considering moving here: if you're sensitive or allergic to smoke, be mindful that smoke from neighboring units will drift into your apartment as there are no balconies, not a smoke community and some people like my neighbors habitually smoke with the windows closed. For this reason, it would be imperative for corporate to consider making this a smoke free community. Overall, this community has heart -- and that's thanks to Robin and Rich. With reallocations of the budget, and an improvement of corporate support for improvements, this place could continue being not just a place to live, but a place to belong for all people.

When I first started looking for an apt, I went online, checked out reviews and prices and rented my apt sight unseen.... it was great!! These apartments are a good size for the price. They have crown molding, washer dryer connections in most, new carpet.... There is a tennis court, pool, playground, hammock park and laundry facility. The staff onsite are amazing!! Always pleasant and courteous and if you have any maintenance issues they are on it quickly! Just yesterday I asked for my AC unit to be checked before the "hot" season starts and that afternoon they were there checking it and installing a brand new thermostat.... I have a teenage son and there are several kids in the neighborhood his age. I tried leaving Parish Place for a year to live in a house with a yard etc... it didn't take long for me to come back "home". I would rate this as one of the best apartment complexes in Mt Pleasant!!

The animal urine smell in the halls on some floors is unbearable-- unsanitary…read more There should be a dog size limit for a building that has no grass or dog park. It seems people are just letting their dogs relive in the halls and not even taking them out. Spraying air fresheners all day doesn't fix it. Carpets need to be removed immediately! Cameras placed in the halls with stiff fines. Some floors are so bad you can't even invite a guest over. Maintenance staff are nice as well as the concierge team. Definitely not the pride and joy of Greystar to make people pay to live in a dog kennel.

If you like being up at all hours of the night and your weekend starts on Wednesday then this is the place for you. If you make a complaint the security just tells you to call the police(Because they cant actually do anything). The funny thing is the Manager told me during the move in that they take noise complaints very seriously and I can tell you first hand she won't do a thing!! The manager is more interested in playing dress up than doing any actual real work, not to mention she shows up only 2x a week. The people at the front desk are there for show(Playing Dress Up) and are totally incompetent. They also have a higher turnover rate than the food industry. Every month you get introduced to a new 20 something college grad who doesn't know what she's doing and will end up leaving in a month or two and then you have to do it all over again. If your a young professional or an adult I wouldn't recommend this place. The guild also leaks every time it rains. My apartment has had leaks from the ceiling, the stairwells, and garage are soaked every time it rains. They will raise the price a minimum of $400 every year your there and there is NO NEGOTIATING. Last but not least, theres an amazing Asian restaurant in the building, however the whole building smells(VERY STRONG!!) like it after 5PM. Charleston is an amazing place and luckily now we have many more apartment options available to us that weren't when I moved in here.

The train literally shook our apartment sometimes, and it came by 6 times between 7 PM - Midnight. Now, if you can get an apartment not close to the train, and near nice neighbors who are quieter, you will probably be okay. The property managers don't really tell you how often the train comes by, and the model apartments aren't close to the train. The amenities we were promised and what was delivered was a bit different. Most of the exercise equipment in the workout room was broken the entire year we lived there. On several occasions, the water hose at the car wash area was broken. There was only one dumpster for the complex and it filled up on the weekends, so people just left trash around it, looking very slack. In addition, the parking lot did not have many spaces. There were barely enough spaces for all the residents, so if anyone had visitors, they had to park extremely far away. When we found out we were moving to Charleston, we didn't have long to find a place. In hindsight, I wish we'd looked around more for a better deal for our money. I will say, I never felt unsafe running or walking around the complex.

Several months ago, we submitted a work order for the toilet in our master bathroom because it was not functioning properly. Unfortunately, despite the passage of several months, the issue still has not been resolved. We have been patient and understanding, especially with the ongoing renovations and other projects taking place throughout the community, but it has become frustrating to have an essential fixture remain unrepaired for such a long period of time. We understand that maintenance teams can be busy, and we appreciate the work they do. However, timely communication and follow-through on submitted work orders are important, particularly when the issue affects the daily use of our home. We hope GrayCo and Belle Hall Apartments will address outstanding maintenance requests more promptly and improve communication with residents regarding repair timelines. As we did hire an independent plumber to fix a 5 minute job.

They have gotten better about maintenance requests but they never EVER leave a note or message telling you it has been finished so you just have to assume it was OR log onto your portal to see what the status is. Of course, if you try and call the office, god forbid you leave a voicemail no one EVER calls you back about anything ever. I have now found 4 cockroaches in my apartment over the span of a month. My next door neighbors are barely here. My apartment is very clean so what the heck is happening here. My last apartment at a different location never had ANY. Of course, I called, left a voicemail and nothing.... its disgusting.
