I don't drink coffee but have been enjoying the granola from Kick Ash since I first bought some at a Green Bay farmers market when we lived there. I now order it online but when we take a trip to Door County, I try to stop in to stock up. But this place is about more than coffee and granola - they have a nicely curated gift shop with many unique items. While there, I was able to pick up a gift bag and card for a birthday party I was going to and if time wasn't short, I could have spent more time browsing and buying other gifts! read more

My friend and I stopped in because their bakery items are Gluten Free. The cookie was yummy. The lemon poppyseed muffin was delicious. They have their own coffee. I ordered a decaf latte with oat milk. So good! Big bold flavor and no acidity or after taste. I had to buy some coffee. The store has a mix of eclectic gifts, snacks and books. I think the prices are reasonable. The store is in an old church. My friend and I sat and visited for a while. Just a really cool vibe. The staff is super friendly too. Check it out. read more

Really cool gift shop with thoughtfully curated items not found in every other DoCo store. Has a coffee bar and an outstanding gluten free bakery- we got almond joy cookies and cinnamon roll muffins and both were fabulous. The staff was warm and welcoming even though we arrived shortly before closing. Worth the drive up just to explore, especially for those with Celiac or gluten sensitivity. So glad we found this gem, will definitely be back! read more

Was asked to unplug my computer because their electrical system cannot support outlet usage. No espresso machine. This place is cute but needs an upgrade to compete with other coffee shop and better serve customers. Fine if you don't need espresso or an outlet. read more

So, I drink an obscene amount of coffee! I'm totally not from anywhere near here but stop by when I'm doing my tourist thing. This is hands-down my favorite coffee on earth! I always order something from the bar, but honestly the prepackaged beans and their granola are where it's really at! My only problem is I never pick up enough to last long enough! I have never had a flavor or roast here that was bad! The granola is really amazing as well! I even went as far as to buy some of their Merch to advertise for them and that's saying something! Lol If you're in town, or probably if you're not in town because I assume they ship, be sure to stop by and grab a bag! You will certainly thank me later! read more

A specialty roast coffee and made on site gluten free granola shop. Found this gem on the way back from Gills Rock, don't know how we missed it going up north on the peninsula. May be because Island Orchard Cider and Kick Ash share the same parking/entrance so don't get confused. It was storming as we parked but it was worth the mad dash between rain drops. Small place but big on friendly, has lots of choices, and you can sample them all. We went home with bags of the Paleo granola and some fresh muffins and roasted coffee. Well worth it seeking this place out. read more

If I could give 10 stars I would! Their gluten free bakery items are WONDERFUL!! By far the best gluten free cookie, granola, and baked goods I HAVE EVER HAD!! Now just if I had the recipes.... outside was a beautiful walking area to. Coffee was good also! But the baked goods ahhh... cant wait to go back! read more

Stopped here after a bad experience at Blue Bear across the street. Everyone was so friendly! The coffee was amazing (I chose the light roast Costs Rican) and the best cup of coffee I've had in years. Beautiful atmosphere, and gifts that are different than all the others in door County, who tend to sell the same items. They have wine and cider, baked goods, and salads, etc. It smelled amazing in there!!! Wish it was in Egg Harbor, but will make the trip back up for it read more

Located in an old church, the cafe/work space is peaceful and calming. All food they offer is gluten free and much of it is made on site. Iced chai drink was very refreshing and coffee was very good (I didn't have coffee at this stop but at a different cafe in Sister Bay - the Rwanda which was excellent). Everyone was pleasant. Well worth the stop and will definitely be stopping back. read more

Kick Ash / Door County Granola now has a new incredible location in a amazing setting!! The best small batch fresh roasted coffees, baked goods, home of the famous Door County granola (and samples), fresh salads to go, etc. The whole recreated new space is a piece of art! Can you tell I am excited! Outside patio's with great seating areas, gardens, Inside quiet spots & even work areas. This site was previously The Linden Gallery, prior to that a Church. Visit & you'll see it's absolutely beautiful. Zen, uplifting & welcoming! They also have books & gifts. The quality coffee's freshly roasted on site, as well as homemade gluten free bakery options, salads (locally sourced / made) - products made with quality & obviously love. We stumbled upon this place one evening just wandering around. The woman working was so friendly and welcoming that I didn't want to leave! The coffee was great, she gave us some great tips about the area, and just visited with us for a bit. They had some really cute things for sale as well! I would definitely come back again. read more

Was it the best smoked fish in Door County, like I'd read about? Maybe, I don't know for sure since this is the only place in the county I've gotten smoked fish, but it very well could be true!

After about 1 hour & 10 minutes, I flagged down a bus boy and asked them to find out why we still hadn't gotten the main course. They said we were behind a big table and it should be about 5 minutes. 5 minutes later I flagged down my waiter and asked what was up. I was told that it was my fault for asking for our focaccia, appetizer, and main course to be spaced out. (the only options that were given were to have all items at once or spaced out) At this point I asked for a manager. The manager (owner) came out hot, acting like the soup guy from Seinfeld. He had the waiter repeat what she told to me earlier and when I tried to interject, told me to stop and listen to her. I reiterated that at this point we'd been there for over an hour after being seated (late) (also at this point it was almost and hour and a half since being seated) and that it was unacceptable to still not have been served the main course, whatever their excuse was. There were at least 3 servers, and not over 20 tables in the entire place. Instead of offering anything at all to make up for it, acknowledging any of the issues, or least of all apologizing, the owner told the waiter to "get us out of here". The waiter wound up bringing the entree in a bag and the check (including the entree) to us. I had to demand I wasn't, at all, paying for the entree in order to get it removed from the bill. (I left it on the table) The bottom line is that, the entree could've been the tastiest dish in the world, but this place doesn't deserve your patronage.
