I don't know much about his professional career, but I know he was a champion muay that fighter, and he is a good teacher. One tip from me if you start to go here regularly is invest in your own equipment! In the beginning I did not have my own gloves, so I had to use their public gloves.... they were all sweat drenched, and trust me, it takes ages before you can wash the stench of sweat off your hands! Same goes for the shin guard... they were so wet with sweat that they soaked through my nike jogging bottoms! Also, be careful if ur a newbie. It seems that Bill makes it a point to "demonstrate" on newbies, showing them how powerful Muay Thai is by using his "weak" left leg to kick you "lightly" on your arm... hurts pretty bad! lol. But dnt worry, we have all been there... its like a right of passage.

This is a very good Muay Thai club, with a strong pedigree of past and present fighters. With a good number of females and beginners, there is no reason not to give this a try if you are looking to get fit regardless of age, sex or current fitness level. The old saying of 'I'm not fit enough to go to a class yet,' will not wash and is quite frankly an awful excuse. There is a full sized ring, numerous punch, kick and elbow bags and plenty of long pads for partner work. The instruction is thorough and as all Thai boxing schools should be, very tough. There are several full time Muay Thai gyms in London, and I would certainly class Minotaurs as well as KO and Scorpions among the best for churning out good fighters.

After having some travel issues I arrived at 7:17 for the 7:15 class, I got there as the class was…read moregetting underway so I waited on the side to not disturb it as I was at fault. After about 10mins the instructor came over and asked me to take a seat and wait while he got class underway and thought about what to do. I then proceeded to wait the length of the class with no interaction. While I was waiting a regular student arrived and joined in. The class ended and I thought this would be my chance to explain and chat to the instructor. Unfortunately not after walking around for a couple of minutes the instructor proceeded to call over a purple belt to roll. So after waiting over an hour I took this as my cue to leave. The gym looked good and the class looked intense with students being yelled at to get into better positions or do burpees/push ups if they lost positions in the specific sparring. But the encounter left me feeling very underwhelmed and I won't be back.
