This indoor kids play gym opened inside Erin Mills Town Center in May and I've been taking my toddlers there every few weeks. The space is clean, bright, not crowded and has free WiFi (perfect for posting pictures of your kids online while they play). The open concept makes it easy for you to keep an eye your kid. There are plenty of individual bathrooms and are always kept clean and tidy. There are signs saying no outside food is allowed, but I always pack snacks and drinks in the diaper bag for my little ones for them to refuel. Admission does allow for in/out privileges, so you can go for a quick Starbucks run in the mall or refuel at the food court. There is one main 2-storey structure that is accessed by a padded staircase. At the top is a large balloon room (adults are allowed in) and a clear bouncy room that leads to the top of the big slides. My kids love the merry go round and the smaller slide with a tunnel underneath. There is another balloon room on the main floor space with huge balloons and large fans that continually blow them around. There are party rooms that accommodate for birthday parties. While my 1- and 2-year-old love this play gym, I can see how the juvenile structures will only entertain the younger 5 and under crowd. If your kids are older, I would recommend you going to a different play gym with larger climbing structures. Wednesdays are the best time to go as admission is half price! $7 for toddlers 2 and up.

There were food trucks, vendors, bands, pictures with Santa and a train ride as well. We arrived early enough that we didn't have to wait for our maple syrup treat but the line was huge by 7:30pm. Some things were still being set up so I'm sure Saturday will have more offerings. The shops on Queen St (crafted decor and shop for all occasions) were bustling and had amazingly gorgeous offerings for purchase. We tried to get into Goodfellas but the wait was an hour and a half. Tip: make your dinner reservations for the Christmas market weekend well in advance. There are plenty of other places to eat within walking distance and we ended up at El Mariachi (see my review for that). We also walked down to Vic Johnston arena where there was a market of vendors selling adorable baby focused crafts and other things ($2 entry as a donation for food banks). I love having the Christmas market close by, meeting neighbours and enjoying the local businesses

The driving range is a bit of a walk from the office where you need to purchase your balls, but the views are great! It'll remind you of the Microsoft desktop picture. There were not very many houses around the course either. Since that time I played the Academy 9-hole course a number of times. I liked the Academy because it was very challenging for a short course. If you miss the fairway, there was a very high chance that you would lose your ball in the rough and/or fescue. The fescue is baaaaad. Don't even bother trying to hit out of it. I finally decided to try out the 18-hole course after years of procrastinating. I played on a Sunday afternoon at 3:01 pm (twilight starts at 3 pm, and super twilight at 5:30 pm). For $65 you get a cart for your 18 holes. I highly recommend getting a cart. There are a lot of hills and you won't enjoy your round if you had to carry your bag. Both the 9- and 18-hole courses are very well maintained. There are some tough spots (we played after it rained) and the bunkers can be brutal. We took free drops instead of playing out of the bunkers, especially after rain. Also a couple of the holes had very strange layouts. There were two greens that were absolutely hidden and nearly impossible to aim for unless you had played it before. Thankfully all the carts are fitted with GPS devices so you know how far you are from the green. The staff and marshalls were all very polite and kind. We had a slow group but the marshall tried her best to keep everyone moving. Their service really stood out to me. I would definitely play Braeben again. For $65 and the convenience of the course's location, I think it's a great value. You might have a tough time if you're a beginner because of the fescue and tight fairways, but there are some easy par 3s and straight 4s to keep you going.

This place can host multiple events at the same time - I believe around 2-3. I like how they have coat hanging service right by the door. The washroom are big, spacious, well lit and clean. Evidently with the pandemic, COVID vaccination requirements are checked right at the door and masks are mandatory everywhere you go, except when you are sitting down and eating at the table. I like the open bar layout in the room I was in - it had a variety of drinks available and I love how it opens up to the grand lobby that's right beside it. This is perfect for weddings - doing some sort of mini photo booth; or birthday parties, where you can just hang around, mingle and see different table set ups. Inside the hall can probably host up to 15 tables or so. Great sound system, dance floor and high ceilings. I also like how they have spaced out the tablets are appropriate as possible to ensure social distancing. All the staff were also very accommodating and making sure each guests are served. It's tough nowadays with the pandemic to host large venues, but I'm glad Mississauga Grand was able to make everything easy to follow!

You know you're in for something good when your bus driver hears the name of the restaurant being mentioned in another conversation and says, "You'd better try the roast beef." Despite being situated near the edge of the city, in a part of Brampton that's within spitting distance of Oakville (basically, farmland almost everywhere you turn), there was no shortage of people here. I attended a book launch for Mayor-elect Patrick Brown's new book, and wasn't surprised to find out that the place was booked overcapacity. Walking in an hour before the event, I wasn't entirely surprised to find that the space was already set-up, with cards featuring fancy writing adorning each seat, free pens (FREE PENS!) and massive floral arrangements at each table. It may not be the biggest event hall/wedding space out there, but if my view of the grounds were any indication, this was already an extremely-beautiful and compelling site for a small-scale wedding or social event. Of course, there was food served at the event. While a handful of the back-line cooks looked like they'd rather be somewhere else on the few occasions they came out of the kitchen, that certainly didn't impact the quality of the food. Mini-samosas and the fabled roast beef were on-deck, with a chef cutting off giant strips for hungry guests and offering to make mini-sandwiches with horseradish and other toppings. I admit that I didn't get as full of an experience as some of the other guests, as I had to eat quickly considering the schedule of the event (people were being served just as the presentation on the book began), but I don't hold that against them. They also had what appeared to be an open bar with multiple featured cocktails that night, but I simply settled on some coffee, which was about as ho-hum as it gets. Maybe they could spring for some dark roast next time. I contemplated giving this a 4.5 out of 5 and rounding down, but I felt that the experience was enjoyable enough across the board and the site is so compelling that it deserved the top grade. If you want quality and an intimate space, this is the place for you.

You were very accommodating with all of our little activities and decorations, and we are so thankful that you made sure the night went flawlessly.   A special thank you to: Melissa and Veronica for helping to prepare everything leading up to our special day. Bino, for setting up the outdoor ceremony for us, even though it was a little bit chilly. Jerome, Carol, and Norman for their great work in making the night so memorable.     We would recommend Carl's Catering to anyone who is looking for a special location that is different from the typical hall style wedding. The charm and love that comes from Carl's is truly one of a kind. It is also very helpful that they have packages which include the invitations, cake, decorations, DJ, etc. It takes a lot of stress out of the planning process.   We are so happy that we chose to have our special day at Carl's Catering and we will forever remember the wonderful day we experienced.   Thank you!
