What a great breakfast place!!!! Dining is outdoors. Order. Pay. Then be seated. As for the food, it was DELICIOUS! The pancakes with banana and macadamia were pretzel y sweet and fluffy. Definitely eat it with the coconut syrup. The Loco Moco with kalua pork Orion was sooooo good. Go with kalua! And the fried rice was the best fried rice I've eaten. Wish I could have some more of their foods but gotta go deal with reality back at the mainland. Highly recommend this place.
This place is always buzzing with locals and tourists and that's because they have great food, quick services and multiple locations on the island of Maui. On a recent trip we dined several times. A few things to know, they are busy but have a super system for getting you in & out. 1. Order your drinks & food at the counter 2. Pick up drinks at the next counter 3. Find your table with the help of the busser/greeter standing near by (we never had an issue getting a table) 4. They deliver the food 5. Enjoy the food! Loved their pastries and drinks, this is an easy eat spot for island flavors.
We visited a few times on our vacation last week. It was a block from our Airbnb and had quality coffee to boot! Cant't beat that. We had such good customer service each morning we even went for breakfast the last day of our trip. Coffee = good. Ambience/customer service = good. Food = GOOOOOD! My son loved his pancake and my wife and I shared the banana macadamia nut French toast. Best French toast I've ever had. Restaurant was very clean as well.
Had to come here for the first breakfast in Maui and it was a 10/10¡ Husband loves Eggs Benedict and picked the Kalua Eggs Benedict. Portion size of the pork was actually really large which was quite good. I'm not usually a pork person, so I'm not the best judge, but he loved it! Buttermilk pancakes with banana and macadamia nuts - 10/10! Such super fluffy pancakes and They actually went so well with the bananas and macadamia nuts! I'm not usually a banana or macadamia person, but honestly this combination was delicious! Got some Grilled chicken breast on the side for protein - Nice that they had this option of getting just plain protein on the side. Also got their daily special coconut something coffee! It was a season of item so I don't even remember what it was but it was yum for sure! We came at 9am to beat the crowds and got seated immediately. Service was also very quick! Also got a table outside with a view which was lovely.
Our eyes and stomachs ordered before our brains did, so even though we went family-style for every meal during this trip, for some reason we made our last one hefty and all ordered our own portion. A big happy mistake, I'd call it. We all really liked what we ordered and even got an extra portion of banana macadamia pancakes to share, so needless to say we had some leftovers. The line was out the door but moved pretty quickly and we were able to snatch up a big enough table right away but there are employees that will help seat you when they can. They also had some tres leches cake samples on the side at the register for you to try, but maybe for that specific one they can try out a new method because it was just pieces on toothpicks. And if you know anything about a good tres leches, you'd know it was drenched and so it was inpossible to pick up with a toothpick I imagine it tasted amazing though
Solid breakfast and lunch joint for locals and tourists alike. They have all the classics and some brunch specials on Sat and Sun. Hurry on the weekend before they sell out on the specials. They only provide 1 refill on coffee and sodas (no refills on lemonade), but you'll need to go to the counter if you want a refill. The outdoor dining area is spacious and very scenic. Overall, 4 out of 5 due to some dishes not worth the squeeze.

You order and they announce your name and bring it to your table Cons: 1. Food was ok, nothing to rave about. Had the mochi pancakes and they were drenched in oil. I couldn't eat anything for the rest of the day as it was hard to digest. Looked nice but not at all pleasant to eat. 2. Drinks weren't called and when I went to check on them, they had been sitting on the outer with ice melting. 3. Eggs with bacon were ok, again nothing to rave about. I think they are used to being a popular touristy place and quality doesn't hold up. I wouldn't be coming back.

Listen for your name and the staff will deliver your food to your table. Great food and fast service all around. Both locations are right off of S Kīhei Rd. You'll find one in the Kīhei Kalama Village with outdoor seating and the other at the Maui Coast Hotel both indoor and outdoor seating. Different vibes but try them both! Seafood Omelette Special - Cheesy shrimp, crab and green onion omelette smothered sauce with pork sausage. Loco Moco - Traditional Hawaiian Breakfast. Two eggs any style and choice of 1/2 Ib Black Angus beef burger patty with steamed white rice covered in brown gravy.
Thank you Yelpers for the reviews here. Motivated to get out for breakfast, we got here around noon and enjoyed a filling meal of Kahlua pork Benedict and corned beef hash. Nice to have a warm biscuit with butter and the delicious coconut syrup on the table. Very flakey and so yummy. The corned beef has bits of crispiness on the edges and a good ratio of potatoes. Just right. My over easy eggs were cooked perfectly, their version of potato chips is fun and again, the biscuit if very good. Hubby really enjoyed his Benedict with its generous portion of meat and perfectly cooked poached eggs. Parking is easy across the street and this is definitely a place to come back to! You order first and then sit down is all you need to know.

They always say that breakfast is the most important meal of the day, so we took it to heart with a visit to Kihei Caffe. You order at the register first, and then the staff helps you find an available spot on their patio. There was a bit of a wait on a weekday morning, but we slowly got through the line and were seated. We decided to try their: - Cheese Omelette with added Spinach, Onion and Portuguese Sausage - Macadamia Nut & Banana Mochi Pancakes - The mochi element added a fun texture to the pancakes, making them extra chewy. I do want to note that each topping is extra as a heads-up! - Ube Cold Brew Overall, I'm glad we went with a sweet and savory option and was surprised that we finished the hefty portions. It definitely left us full for the rest of the morning! read more
This is an order, pay & sit down joint, they move super quickly after they receive your order & call out your name about 10-15 minutes later. There is lots of street parking / a parking lot in the back that's pretty easy to access. The bathroom is located in the building in the market next door! The food itself is good, but I wouldn't necessarily say you have to go out of your way to try this place. They also have lots of drink options like coffee / smoothies, but we decided to skip out b/c we got coffee earlier in the day. Bring your own water bottle bc they only sell boxed water -- no cup water provided. We ordered two Loco Mocos (one with chicken fried steak -- def worth the extra upcharge -- and a beef patty for the other, which is just okay). The pork fried rice is pretty tasty, but very oily due to having both bacon and pork bits inside. The banana and macadamia pancake is also just that -- two thick pancakes with banana slices and macadamia nuts atop with a scoop of soft butter. It would be nice if there was some sort of glaze that accompanied the pancake, but maple syrup worked just fine! Still a solid place to eat at if you're craving breakfast foods as they have Hawaiian / classic American breakfasts! Definitely wish I could have tried the banana French toast, but unfortunately they were sold out for the day! read more

I couldn't get enough of the catfish and breakfast potatoes. Went here three days because it was so yummy. We were lucky enough not to have to wait in the super long line that forms at this place. You HAVE to try this spot read more

Kihei Caffe is a clear popular spot. That said, despite long lines, it moves quickly! The food is made quickly and seating (which is predominantly outdoor) faces the beach. Kihei Caffe was an amazing brunch spot. Parking was easy as it is in a shared lot with other vendors. The line was pretty long when we arrived around 8:30 AM but it is definitely worth the wait. The lines gets cut off into two segments and the waiter will motion you through to the first part of the line once it's your turn. You then make your way into the restaurant to place your order. There are specific instructions posted as to how to place your order and the server will also guide you through the process. We ordered the creamy ube coffee, macadamia nut coffee, ube mochi pancakes, loco moco with black angus beef, over easy eggs, and fried rice, and a side of fresh corned beef hash. After ordering, you pick up your drinks and the servers outside will guide you to your table. Both coffees tasted great. It was nice to try these flavors here that we otherwise don't commonly see outside of Hawaii. My wife really enjoyed the ube mochi pancakes. I enjoyed the loco moco. The gravy was flavorful and substituting for fried rice was well worth it. The side of fresh corned beef hash was also very tasty. We would recommend getting these dishes! Overall, we had a great time at Kihei Caffe. The wait was worth it and the food and drinks were fantastic! read more
Omelette and potato side: it was good but the egg could use some seasoning. Otherwise, you can't go wrong with an omelette! The potato chips it came with was very delicious and seasoned well. Coconut coffee: I don't like coconut but this coffee was delicious and thirst quenching. Highly recommend Mochi Pancake strawberry n bananas: was very delicious 10/10 would order again Loco moco over pork fried rice: better than just the regular pork fried rice. The pork fried rice is delicious but the gravy just adds another layer of flavor that is addicting. 10/10 recommend read more
Order inside and they'll find a seat for you. We had a large party and were able to get seated in 2 tables next to each other outside. I ordered the pork fried rice with 2 sunny side up eggs. It was super tasty and not too salty. I also tried their mochi pancakes which was a perfect amount of fluffiness and sweetness. They don't provide free water, only carton water for purchase but they have plenty of juices and coffee options. read more

The main Kīhei Caffe is under construction we had brunch n the pool side. The place is cozy full of tropical trees and plants. Pedro our server is so attentive and friendly. Explains the menus. For the price of the meal is very much worth. So convenient since we stayed in Maui coast hotel read more

We were looking for a breakfast spot and this place popped up, so we decided to give it a try. You order at the counter then the bussers will seat you and someone will bring you your food if you've never been here. You'll have to grab your drinks yourself at the counter. Thank goodness I asked about it, otherwise, I'd still be waiting for my drink! Haha We were seated outside, which I liked. My son ordered biscuits and gravy, hubby ordered the donkey burrito, and I ordered the fried rice. Overall, food was ok. read more

Came here because locals recommended it. Visiting maui i wanted to try places and eat what locals recommends. This location is right across from a park with a beach. You can see people, locals, tourist, all the above come here to eat. Their food was great too! I ordered the moco loco but substituted the beef patty for pork which was basically their version of lū'au(lau lau) and it was fantastic flavor combo. Pork tender, grave thick and flavorful. Rice was cooked to perfection. I also ordered the pork fried rice and its was great too!! The fried rice was cooked perfect! Rice wasn't too hard or too soft loaded with pork peices, spam, garlic and just delicious. And for both these dishes you get to choose how you want your eggs cooked read more
This cafe was very busy when we arrived, and the host showed us to a table that accommodated my wheel chair as soon as we got there. We were only given one menu and waited 20 minutes before we realized there was a sign up saying to "order inside." So inside my partner went to order our breakfast. Service 2.5/5 One thing odd is the fact that they do not offer tap water. You have to buy boxed water and it tastes like drinking liquid cardboard . As a huge water drinker, I was very disappointed in this, so much so it takes one star off of my full review -1/5. Sitting outside was nice, and I appreciated that the tables were constantly being bussed. The food arrived fairly quickly after ordering and I really enjoyed my meal. The cheese scrambled eggs were about the best cooked eggs I've had while out 5/5. The bacon was thick and chewy 5/5. The pancakes were dense and sweet , and the coconut syrup was the bees knees, but one was tiny and hidden under the larger one and I didn't dig that 3.75/5. The burrito was not seasoned well and the only favor came from the chorizo itself, this gets a 3.75/5. Overall, this cafe gets a 3.1/5. read more

Perfect breakfast spot in Kīhei! We came here around 9am and it was packed, but well worth the wait. The food was great- we tried the banana mac nut pancakes w/ coconut syrup and the corn beef hash plate & both were delicious! I also got the lychee iced tea which was sweet and refreshing. I've seen videos and reviews about this place and I thought they are convincing enough that we should give it a try. We came early when they first opened. And not a long line, as soon as we stepped inside people behind us started coming. The service is quick. We ordered the following: Prime rib loco moco- it's shredded and it's not worth the price and quality. This is a total bummer. And amount of meat that's presented is ridiculous, more onions than meat. This is by far the worse food we've ever had in Hawaii to even think this is the 4th time we've visited the Island. The gravy is somewhat made from a store bought packet. Banana macademia nut french toast- this one is tolerable. It's big and shareable. You need to drizzle it with coconut syrup. Ube cold brewed coffee- I have to say this is the one I enjoyed and have no complaints. The ube flavor is bold, but smooth. I give this 5 star. This maybe the only reason for me to return here is to grab this drink. The small restaurant is in Downtown Kihei facing the kam beach. All the tables and chairs are outdoor. read more
There was a short line when we came, but it went by quick. You go inside to order at the cashier, and if you're eating there, they'll give you a number and serve the food to you. Best banana mac nut pancake I ever had. Make sure to top it with the coconut syrup to add even more flavor. I also got their ube latte and they really did well on the ube flavoring. This review is for the Kihei location. I also have a review for the Lahaina location. Check that out too. Kihei Cafe had some good food. Some of the best fried and flakey catfish, I've ever had in my life. The chorizo was very flavorful - the right amount of spice. Service was good and attentive. This restaurant, you order first and pay, then find seating and your food will be delivered to you. Ambiance was so relaxed. Exactly what i wanted to experience. Price: reasonable price for a breakfast meal for two. It was able $50 including coffee. (I created a collection of all the restaurants we visited on Maui from fine dining to food trucks and all in between.) read more

Highly recommended! Decent prices and delicious food! I loved the Loco Moco and ube coffee here. The service was awesome as well! I wish I came back before we left but I'll be sure to come back on my next visit. The restaurant is being renovated so you'll be eating outside next to the pool. There is another sit down location if you're more interested in that. read more

We got tons of recommendation to try out this place when we come to Maui. This did not disappoint, best breakfast places I've ever had!! My boyfriend got the prime rib loco moco and updated to the pork rice which was a special. The gravy really hits differently in Hawaii (we are from Vegas). I got the pork fried rice and eggs. My god, it was so good. And they gave a pretty big serving, I couldn't finish all my food. My overeasy eggs were just perfect. We also got a side of buttermilk pancakes. I wish I got a picture before devouring the whole thing. The butter was creamy and didn't turn into melted butter immediately. The syrup they give me, FIRE. We did decide to order it to go and eat at the beach since the dining area was packed. Literally a quick 2 mins drive. We got the order under 10 mins and that's with the place fully packed. This is a must try!!! read more
We come here for breakfast usually on Sundays or when in Kihei. There's lots of choices and the portions are shareable. Order inside before you sit down. Service if fast and friendly. There is only outdoor seating available. The beach and park is across the street. It has a relaxed and casual vibe. It can get hot but the umbrellas help. They only have water for purchase so bring your own water bottle or pay. If you're in the area must try! read more

I really don't know. I'm lactose intolerant and I ate their pancakes and didn't irritate my stomach at all. All bodies are not the same however Thts based off my experience

I didn't notice any, but heads up ...they use canned pineapple on their waffles! Nalu's had better food, call them, they are friendly there too!
