I…read morehave been waiting to go to Nicecream since January but it has honestly been too cold to go here until recently. I was so excited to come here and Nicecream did not disappoint. They have tons of different yummy options, including ice cream in a cone, acai bowls, and ice cream sandwiches. I got the ice cream sandwich, which is a cookie sandwich and it had chocolate brownie ice cream inside of it. It was amazing and the next time I am at Nicecream I will probably get an ice cream sandwich again! My friend got the acai bowl and she was obsessed with it. I tried it and it was beyond amazing. The employees here are very nice and were very helpful when we were ordering. They gave us recommendations on what to eat and their recommendations did not disappoint. I also loved the vibe here. The whole place is super light colors and it has such a cool feeling. However, it is super small inside. There is really no where to sit inside, which I did not look. Overall, this place is amazing and I suggest you come here!!

I'm from a very tiny town in Northern California that has a famous Danish hot dog sold at a store called the Red Front. The yellow bun it's served on is an old Danish recipe that's famous in part because it's delicious, but also because it's so recognizable it solved a crime. Although Red Front's hot dog link is very similar to the one this DØP kiosk serves, it's DØP's bun that brings the experience down from a four to a three. The type of bun I expected is known as a classic soft pølsebrød. It's similar to Challah in that it's a yellow egg bread and tastes nothing like the heavy sourdough bun DØP uses and the honey and I ended up mostly throwing away. The service itself was friendly and helpful and I enjoyed the pickles and the hot dog itself - it's just the bun that doesn't work. So all in all, I'd love to see them offer the option of the older recipe bun in the future.

It's the same good quality as at Frederiksberg, but now to the backside of the coin. The supply is not the same. I miss the whole range of bread and cakes from Brødflov. They do not open until 8. The service is slow, and not Danish speaking. I'm not a nationalistic person, and I welcome refugees, immigrants and foreign people to Europe and Denmark. When I do basic stuff like buying bread, I expect to be served in Danish or someone trying to. This international students working here do not even try. They serve expensive coffee and tea.

It looks chaotic from the outside because it's in Radhuspladsen but when you walk in, you'll find a clean and well-organized convenience store. Probably the nicest 7-Eleven I've ever seen. They have fresh fruits and vegetables, fresh bakery items (cookies, doughnuts, muffins, brownies, pastries), hot food items (empanadas, pizza, sandwiches, bread...the taquitos look sus though - they look like fried/ baked tube of puff pastry), and your typical convenience items. I only grabbed drinks and snacks. There's this chocolate milk called Cocio that tasted nice. The times I've been here were pretty odd times: early morning before touring the city and at night when I'm ready to go back to my hotel. So, it was never crowded and busy. But I can see locals that work in the city center that would grab a quick breakfast here before heading to work.

Their selection surprised me; they have everything from sake to cachaça and even moonshine. Most of what they offer is whiskey and it ranges from affordable to the REALLY good and old stuff that you only break out if you need to impress an important person. There are lots of tastings offered at a good price, too bad I can't make it to the mezcal tasting coming up! The guys working here were really nice and even ran down to the basement for me several times to check if a product was in stock. They also didn't look down at us for asking for a cheaper option and suggested some good bottles. Very good, unpretentious service and a great selection. You can even get a little tiny hotel-fridge-sized bottle for some spirits, which is excellent if you've never tried it before and would like to test it before splurging on a whole bottle. The prices can obviously be a little high but for the most part it is reasonable compared to buying duty free. You might be able to get a popular brand cheaper at the supermarket when it's on sale but for the more interesting stuff, definitely come by Juul's.

I dare you to find an ugly label in here. The owners - a well traveled Danish couple - are happy to sniff out the perfect bottle for you and your needs. I was delighted to find some pinots from Oregon and reds from Washington here, rare finds in Copenhagen. They have something for everyone and love chatting about their offerings. Charming letterpressed cards and sayings fill the shop making the experience charming and enjoyable. You won't find many bottles under DKK100, but you can leave with the knowledge that your purchase was carefully selected for you. Ask for help, they are happy to give - super customer service.

The super friendly staff is often replaced by an I-can't-be-bothered attitude... and it's sad, as this used to be a little pearl in world of bad service Copenhagen...

The produce section has moved to the front instead of being shoved into the back corner of the store like an afterthought. It is well-organized and well-stocked with common and exotic fruits and vegetables. In general, the prices run a bit high compared to discount stores like Netto, and the produce in no exception. However, you can get some specialty items here that you wouldn't be able to find at the green grocer. For example, you can get a pot of trendy red wood sorrel (rød skovsyre) grown in Denmark for 20 dkk. But if you just need regular ol' onions and carrots, go get it somewhere cheaper. The wine, beer, and spirit selection is varied as always and they also have a lot of ciders! Not just that Somersby swill, I mean proper hard cider. Look at the photo! Their fish counter is not all that great, but nice to know that it's there. Turn to the meat and cheese counter if you want to be impressed; they even have dry-aged beef hanging in a case for you to oogle over and wish you'd get paid on the date they intend to cut it. I still like to get my free-range meat and eggs here and almost every week there is a sale especially on free-range pork. On the other end of the scale there is a growing selection of tofu and vegetarian convenience foods, along with their usual stock of gluten-free, and sugar-free products. The American/English section is as laughable as usual (do you really think we miss 7-up hot sauce and pancake batter mix?) but good to know if you can't live without beef jerky or Dr. Pepper. This place is still expensive but they have an even better selection than before. Employees are helpful and friendly and there's a post office and bakery inside so you can get most of your errands done in one go. Not someplace I go on a weekly basis but great to check out if you are missing that special product.

And it's bigger and has more selection than the location on Halmtorvet to the east. Here you'll find everything you'd expect from a grocery store with a reasonable amount of variety. Plus there are additional things like home goods and sporting goods. They even have bikes for sale. Now I don't know why you'd want to buy a bike from a supermarket, but you can! We bought a lot of groceries here and also at Netto during our trip. Some prices at Netto are slightly better, but SuperBrugsen also has some marked down items. So they're more or less equivalent overall. Either way, if you want to save some money and not be eating out every meal, there's no shortage of supermarkets and smaller grocery stores around Vesterbro to choose from!
