It looks like a corner grocery store, but NO! So many beers, wines and a variety of alcohol drinks from all over Europe and the world dot the stores fridges. But wait! There is a cellar that has a treasure trove of bottled beers and other types of bottled/can brewed items neatly placed on shelves and fridges. Take the stairs by the cashier. Of course, there are the usual fruits/veggies, but they seem to have a little more specialty items like vacuum packed cheeses and meats. A whole fridge is dedicated to a brand of yogurt. Specialty Haribo gummies, crazy chocolates from around the world and grasshopper/worm snacks line the walls. Fine ice creams in freezer. Fresh coffee/espresso drinks and avocado sandwiches are freshly prepared by the cashiers. Fun little place with friendly cashiers. Outdoor bench seating. read more

Absolutely love this place. Was looking for a liquor store around our hotel and luckily I found this place on yelp. Was a short walk from our Zleep hotel but I'm glad I made the walk on the rain to come to this place. I needed some champagne and beer to take on our cruise and came to this place for a variety of selection. I head straight to the basement for their beers. I needed something that looks like wine to take on the cruise so I got some beers that has a cork on top. Got myself an ipa, and two other triple beer. This place seems like the locals frequent often. The guy downstairs restocking the beers asked me how did I find this place and I told him I did a yelp search. The dude said every week they will have ten different new beer variety that arrives in their store. This is pretty awesome as majority of the beers you can't get in the states. If you like drinking beer and want to buy some beer to take back to the states, this the place to get some on your way back. If my reviews haven't tipped you off, I'm fine throwing this boldly out: I'M IN LOVE WITH COPENHAGEN. Arrived late on a Sunday and things felt a little sleepy-quiet. We went for a stroll and came upon Kihoskh. "ARE ALL KIOSKS LIKE THIS IN DENMARK?" "THEY HAVE BACON BEER HERE!" "HOW IS IT POSSIBLE THAT EVERYONE HERE IS SO COOL?" "MANGO GINGER BEER?" "FRESH BREAD?" Yeah, you read right. All in caps. GIMME ALL THE KIHOSKH THINGS. So, it's a kiosk, but it's also...not your average kiosk. The beer selection - and drink selection, generally - is amazing. Varied, small batch, interesting, and totally grab-able to take and sit outside at one of the several picnic benches just outside. It's a casual vibe - it _feels_ like a convenience store - but one that has been stocked by your really cool older sister home for the summer from NYC Fashion School, you know? Like, artsy magazines that cost up to 30 Euro and fun candies and fancy pates and novelty canned goods and "brunch beer" that is a little bit coffee and a little bit boozy. A staple in Vesterbro...everyone who lives in this part of town knows and loves Kihoskh. It is definitely your local kiosk that's been upgraded to version 10.0. My favorite moment was browsing through their very interesting wine selection, and finding a bottle from the Hitching Post in Santa Barbara, and then realizing, wait a second...I have been there! How in the world did they decide to carry this wine? They have a great selection of interesting products from all over the world, comic books, weird juices, beers, and sodas...and the best part is outside they have some picnic tables with candles and blankets, so locals see it more as a hangout, than just a kiosk. If you are in the neighborhood, stop by, buy some cool stuff, and enjoy it outside while meeting some of the local flavor! read more

More beer, more problems? Perhaps. At least for my wallet, but my heart is happy that there are more (specialised) beer shops in Copenhagen that challenge your tastebuds as well as your liver with their specialties. Kihosk on Sønder Boulevard has lots of beer. Don't be fooled with their "kiosk" appearance (At first I thought the name was misleading until I went there first time and saw that it was an actual kiosk, just bigger) and their limited number of beer in the small fridge on the wall. Ask for the pass downstairs to the basement where the treasure room is. You'd be asked to leave your bags upstairs, but that's fair enough. On the basement, that's where your treasure hunt begins and good luck with that, see if your dankort comes out of this place unscathed. Mine doesn't, unfortunately :) read more

Kihoskh is a true super kiosk and an amazing treasure in Vesterbro. The beer selection in the downstairs beer cellar is second to none, offering specialty beers for any and all tastes. We came across three delicious gueuze bottles from Belgium, and a couple of legendary Trappist ales to stock our refrigerator during our stay in Copenhagen. The variety of beers on stock was well thought out and offered many different styles and tastes from around the world. Service is quick and helpful, and the benches out front offer what must be a relaxing setting to enjoy your beer and snacks while soaking up a day or evening in Vesterbro. I recommend Kihoskh to anyone in search of delicious local and imported craft beer while in Copenhagen. I can only wish and dream of having such an extravagant and impeccable kiosk in my neighborhood. read more

What I would give to have Kihoskh as my local corner kiosk. This place is a tiny gem in Vesterbro. It has all of the typical characteristics of a regular kiosk: candy, beer, cigarettes... but also so much more. Comic books? Records? Random organic Amy's Kitchen canned soups imported from America? AND a craft beer cellar?!? I am sold. In the shop, they sell all of the fundamental kiosk food items you need in a hurry like milk (they even have milk of the soy/almond variety), wine, or peanut butter. But they also have fresh bread from BRØD, coffee, unique non-Daim chocolates, etc. If you go beyond the cash registers and down the creaky wooden stairs, you'll find the craft beer cellar. Be aware of the low ceilings tall people! In the cellar, there is a wide variety of Danish and imported craft beers. There is a whole wall dedicated to Mikkeller but plenty of other beers if you're looking for something different. Prices are average in comparison to other craft beer shops in town but be sure to check the tags because some of the beers may be on sale where it's 2 beers for the price on the tag. The tables outside provide a nice spot to relax with friends and enjoy the good weather. Kihoskh is tinier than your local grocery store and is packed to the brim, but it's got all of the essentials plus more than you ever expected. read more

This place was totally ridiculous. A small, super-cramped convenience store on the side of the road with normal groceries and then for some reason a crazy beer selection. Anchorage, Shorts, Struise, Stillwater, Mikkeller, Evil Twin, Fanø, Nøgne Ø, To Øl, Duff Beer, marijuana beer, beer from Lebanon, beer from Iceland. They even have Mikkeller beers made for this shop. I ran into the world's most prolific beer rater here who left with an armful of new beers. So that should tell you something. read more

Gee whiz I like this place. A hip kid's dream convenience store, this place is brimming with beautiful magazines, micro brewed beers, the good snacks, fresh coffee and fresh baked goods. I like to go for coffee in the mornings. read more

this is not your ordinary kiosk selling carlsberg and haribo and gossip magazines. mikkeller beers, cupcakes, and comic books take their place on the shelves, along with the posher-than-average canned supplies of things like pâté (both meaty and vegetarian) and organic deoderant. you know, just in case you need a bag of crisps and pâté at half past midnight. there are a couple tables out front where you can enjoy your beers, and some blankets are thoughtfully laid out for those crazy enough to sit outside in the winter. in the summer, the whole corner belongs to kihoskh, along with the green patch of grass across the street. the drinks are great and the vibe is good. this corner is a good summary of vesterbro; most areas look like crap, there are drunks/druggies any hour of the day, but hipsters make the most of it. read more
