Our flight back to Philly was canceled due to weather prompting an unplanned stay at the Crowne Plaza Fort Lauderdale airport hotel. The only onsite option for dinner was Kiki's and they delivered, so despite my misgivings about the overall three star rating, we ordered the avocado salad and added chicken. Just on the basis of the avocado salad, I'd give Kiki's a 4.5 as the salad was very good and it came with a lot of avocado slices and the chicken strips on top were plentiful and perfectly cooked. we didn't try anything else though, but I would recommend if you're stuck at the Crowne Plaza and want a good salad, give Kiki's avocado salad a try and you won't be disappointed! read more

My family and I really enjoyed Kiki's! We initially set out to find a restaurant outside of staying at the Crowne but other visitors AND employees highly recommended we should give them a try. They didn't disappoint! All family members enjoyed their dishes! Blue, our waiter, didn't miss on his recommendations, also very polite ~ that was a huge plus for us!! Nice setting! Kiki's is a hidden gem inside the Crown plaza hotel in Fort Lauderdale. I stayed in the hotel two nights ate breakfast and dinner at Kiki's, the food is delicious. Also the service is amazing. Our waiter Willie was the best in service and personality, he made both our dinners perfect. I personally recommend Kiki's for people staying in the hotel, for locals. read more

I'm leaving a review because of all the negative reviews. Not everything they said was wrong, but this is definitely not a 1-2 star venue. Yes, they start by giving you a reheated frozen dinner roll. Not sure why. Yes, it's a bit confusing that a Mexican branded restaurant has more American fare than Mexican. Now, we ordered chicken fajitas and chicken Alfredo. Both were very clearly made at the restaurant. Someone commented their food was like a frozen dinner, not our experience. I have had better fajitas and Alfredo, but they were still good. They didn't blow me away, but I enjoyed them. Lastly someone commented that the restaurant was in a luxury hotel, with luxury prices. This is not true. The fajitas were $24, the Alfredo was $24. And because we stayed at the hotel they gave us 2 coupons for free wine/beer. Service was fast, staff very attentive, and friendly. Don't let the negative reviews scare you away. Choices were oatmeal (the only choice you can't really mess up) scrambled eggs - pasty, some kind of vegetable quiche - hard and dried out, potato cakes - well done and tasted horrible, bad enough to spit out, and bacon - not cooked enough, the pancakes were are stuck together and dried out?! Was this food saved from previous day? This breakfast should have been "free" with stay at hotel but if food wasn't bad enough it cost $19.99! We've been to many hotels where the breakfast is included with the stay and have had AMAZING BUFFETS. The cost is way overpriced for this buffet. This restaurant is somewhat confusing, it advertised as a Mexican restaurant but the menu was predominantly American cuisine. I ordered steak fajitas and my friend had what would I call them the enchiladas. The steak fajita platter came out sizzling hot but consisted of mostly onions and very little of anything else except the steak. The enchilada and yellow rice platter looked and tasted as if it came out of the Hungry Man frozen dinner box. Quite honestly I don't think the enchiladas were even that good. This is the Crowne Plaza's restaurant. I was unexpectedly stuck here for a night so I blew in for a quick meal. I'll have nightmares about what was served to me for the rest of my life! After a few bites of this junk, it's amazing I have a life to have nightmares in! Things started off nicely. I sat at the bar and the bartender was excellent. I'm a Priority Club member so my 1st drink was free. I perused the menu and ordered the BEEF ENCHILADAS for $16. The two enchiladas came with refried beans, rice, guacamole, and a dollop of sour cream. It was served quickly on the predictably hot plate. The first hint that things would not go well was the color of the guac. The color was so strange I was afraid to even touch it with my fork. I slid it off my plate with the corner of my napkin. A patron sitting next to me took one look and moved his seat. Now it was time to cut into my enchilada. I had to use a great deal of force. There was something beyond firm hidden in there. It turned out to be some weird machine extruded beef log. It had the texture of one of those Slim Jims you see by the cash register in convenience stores. I got stuck on my fork and I had to pry it off with my knife. As I stared at it the guy that had moved his seat before took a look and moved even further away. If I was at home I wouldn't even feed this to my dogs. They would probably bite me before they died! One star! read more

Slow service in a not too crowded place. Staff were pleasant but forgot to refill water glass and bring wine order. We shared a lobster ravioli and it was tasty. It came with a mixed green salad which we also shared. The staff did comp a glass of wine at the end. My mom had the chicken fajitas, which had grilled flavor and came with a freshly made guacamole. I had the ground beef enchiladas and made the mistake of asking my server, Luz, to have the ranchero sauce put on the side. She told me it was delicious and I didn't listen. Oh my god. Drench everything in that sauce. It has layers of flavor (pieces of veggies that have been simmered with spices in a tomato sauce). Btw, everything down to the tortillas is homemade. Go now. Service was great- Nachos super overpriced. The $10.99 nachos had 8 chips. (yea, you read that right- there were so few we could easily see and count every single chip!) Hmm.... I feel quite bad for this place. We are staying at the hotel and received one free drink at the bar. Unfortunately we could not use it because we didn't purchase a meal.
